Chapter 1882 - 1983: Meeting the Opposing Leader
"Tell them I’m going right now," Wang Qian said decisively.
The person nodded and then went to make arrangements.
"It’s been a while since we last had a chat," Wang Qian said, sitting on the table and looking at Xiang Yu.
Xiang Yu didn’t hide it and nodded, "I got here before you. At that time, Sun Bo was also captured by the Blood Alliance, and I came over to redeem him."
Wang Qian was momentarily stunned. Although she had guessed that Xiang Yu had already arrived here, she didn’t expect it to be even before her.
"You mean you’ve already dealt with them?" Wang Qian asked.
Xiang Yu nodded and said, "The last time I consulted you about the Blood Alliance was because of Sun Bo."
Wang Qian nodded, "It’s best you don’t mess with them. I’ve warned you before, this group is like a stubborn plaster, as soon as you get involved, it’s a real hassle."
"With your help, what do I have to fear?" Xiang Yu chuckled.
Wang Qian shook her head helplessly. She knew Xiang Yu wouldn’t easily ask for help. This time, the reason he sought her out was out of concern for Long Wu’s safety.
"Just remember what I said. Let’s go now," Wang Qian said, then headed towards the door.
At that moment, Xiang Yu’s phone rang. He saw it was Mr. Z, the arms dealer, calling.
"Hello, Mr. Z," Xiang Yu said directly, standing there.
Wang Qian was startled and stopped in her tracks.
"The items you requested are ready. The deal is tomorrow night. I’ll send the exact time and location to your phone," Mr. Z said.
"Alright, tomorrow night it is," Xiang Yu responded assertively.
"Don’t forget to bring cash. We want cash," Mr. Z continued.
"See you then," Xiang Yu said before hanging up the phone.
Once there are weapons and people, everything will fall into place.
Just as Xiang Yu hung up the phone and was about to leave with Wang Qian, he noticed Wang Qian looking at him with an unusual expression.
"What’s the matter?" Xiang Yu asked curiously.
"You know Mr. Z?" Wang Qian inquired.
Xiang Yu smiled, "Yes, introduced by a friend."
To Xiang Yu, Mr. Z was just a temporary alias. He didn’t expect him to be so famous that even Wang Qian knew him.
"What kind of friend is he?" Wang Qian asked.
"The son of the current king of the Killing God Organization," Xiang Yu said casually.
Su Yongzhen didn’t often accompany him, and Xiang Yu was worried Wang Qian wasn’t familiar with him, so he directly mentioned his identity.
Wang Qian’s eyes widened upon hearing this, "Are you talking about the Killing God Organization?"
Xiang Yu didn’t expect Wang Qian’s reaction to be so intense. To him, Su Yongzhen was just a brother. He hadn’t really thought much about his identity.
Seeing Wang Qian’s strong reaction, Xiang Yu suddenly thought of something. Su Yongzhen’s mission back then was to assassinate the Wolf King of the Wolf Fang. Could there be any unresolved issues between them?
"You’d better stay away from them; it’s not good for you," Wang Qian said seriously.
Xiang Yu didn’t want to get involved in their affairs, so he nodded, "I understand."
Wang Qian wanted to say something, but ultimately, she didn’t and turned to leave.
Xiang Yu followed her into the car, and neither of them spoke.
Halfway there, Wang Qian couldn’t help but say, "Last time you reminded me to tell the Wolf King to be cautious, and though I didn’t pay much attention, recently, the Wolf King was indeed attacked and got injured in the arm."
"What?" Xiang Yu exclaimed, clearly surprised.
The Wolf King, as the leader of Wolf Fang, held a position even above the heads of some small countries, and his whereabouts were always unpredictable, with very few people knowing his location.
It’s hard to imagine anyone found him and nearly succeeded in the assassination.
Xiang Yu knew who did it; it must have been Su Zhe, Su Yongzhen’s brother.
Clearly, Xiang Yu had underestimated them. If Su Zhe had succeeded, Su Yongzhen’s status might have been diminished. It seemed he had been negligent.
Seeing Xiang Yu so worried, Wang Qian assumed he was concerned about the Wolf King’s safety, so she said, "But don’t worry, the Wolf King is okay, just some superficial wounds."
Xiang Yu nodded, "Was the perpetrator caught?"
Wang Qian smiled, "They were professional assassins. After failing the assassination attempt, they all committed suicide."
Xiang Yu sighed. The Killing God and Wolf Fang were each at the top of their respective fields. Who knows what would happen if they clashed?
"All of this is confidential, so don’t spread it around," Wang Qian added as a final note.
Xiang Yu: "..."
They arrived at a large hotel in the capital. The hotel attracted quite a crowd.
At that time, there were many people around the hotel, dressed in black suits with earpieces in their ears, clearly security guards ensuring the safety of the place.
Under the central entrance of the hotel, ten people stood waiting. Leading them was a chubby middle-aged man, a leader of the Blood Alliance known as Fatty Three.
Wang Qian stepped out of the car, and Fatty Three, with a broad smile, extended his hand warmly, "Leader Wang, it’s a great honor to meet you today."
Wang Qian returned the smile and extended her hand, "I didn’t expect to see you in person, Fatty Three. I’m flattered."
Fatty Three clasped Wang Qian’s hand, his expression turning serious, "No need for such words, we’re of the same generation. Just call me Fatty Three."
"Then I won’t stand on ceremony," Wang Qian said as she withdrew her hand.
She could instantly tell he was a lecher, which made him rather repellant.
Fatty Three cast a glance at Xiang Yu, standing behind Wang Qian, but didn’t acknowledge him. He was curious who had arrived with Wang Qian in the same car.
Though he intended to ask, seeing Wang Qian didn’t introduce him, he refrained from inquiring further.
The group proceeded grandly into the hotel.
Besides Wang Qian and Fatty Three, everyone else handed in their weapons at the entrance.
When they were about to search Xiang Yu, he boldly walked forward.
"Stop right there, you haven’t handed over your weapon yet?" someone swiftly approached Xiang Yu.
"I don’t have a weapon," Xiang Yu declared straightforwardly.
In fact, he did carry a gun, but he had given it to Jieke and didn’t even bring a dagger.
The person was skeptical and used a device to scan Xiang Yu, finding nothing but the metal buckle of his belt.
Everyone was curious about Xiang Yu, bewildered as to why he had no weapons on him.
Finally, Fatty Three couldn’t hold back his curiosity, "And who might this be?"
"Just a brother of mine," Wang Qian replied casually.
Fatty Three, seeing Wang Qian didn’t want to elaborate, didn’t push further and walked with her into a large room.
Fatty Three’s bodyguards also entered, standing around without approaching.
At the large round table sat only Wang Qian and Fatty Three.
"I’ve heard many compliments about your beauty, Leader Wang. Seeing you today, they’re all true," Fatty Three laughed heartily.
Wang Qian responded with a soft smile...
