Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 695 - 461: Earth Magic Crystal, Advancement Blood Battle! (Part 2)

Chapter 695 - 461: Earth Magic Crystal, Advancement Blood Battle! (Part 2)

The Demon Bear King roared angrily as it once again detected the incoming spell. It activated the mana within its Magic Crystal, unleashing its innate spell, the Rock Helmet Skill. This spell formed a suit of grayish-white armor over its body.

The Demon Bear King leaped into the air, swinging its claws and smashing Fang Zhou’s Skeleton Heart-Piercing Flying Spear out of the sky.

Fang Zhou frowned. This Demon Bear King’s energy concentration is immense, likely somewhere between Upper Black Iron and Lower Bronze. Furthermore, its innate spell is a defensive Earth Attribute type, which will make it somewhat difficult to break through its frontal defenses.

At that moment, under the Demon Bear King’s leadership, dozens of Earth Demon Bears began to charge toward Fang Zhou. They aimed to kill the one who had murdered their kin. The ground shook with their advance as they barbarically flattened and destroyed everything in their path, be it trees, shrubs, or weeds.

Fang Zhou remained completely unfazed by the sight.

He had been sniping at the bears from the high branches not because he feared a head-on confrontation, but simply to conserve some mana and avoid unnecessary trouble.

After all, he still had over a hundred Corpse Warriors at his command.

These Corpse Warriors had all reached Upper Black Iron, the peak of their potential strength. While the Flesh and Blood Essence they had absorbed over time could no longer strengthen their bodies, it had been continuously reinforcing their armor and weapons.

The Corpse Warriors formed a battle array. Those with long spears stood at the front, shield in one hand and spear in the other. Warriors armed with war axes and shields were stationed on the flanks, ready to attack at a moment’s notice. In the rear were the Corpse Archers, their arrows nocked and bows drawn.

Their weapons glinted with a cold, osseous light, and the aura of the undead creatures made them seem even more frigid. The thunderous charge of the sixty or seventy Black Iron Tier Earth Demon Bears had no effect on them whatsoever.

Skeleton Armory!

Undead Coronation!

Brutal Aura!

Iron Wall Aura!

Fang Zhou gently waved his Soul Shattering Magic Ball, casting a series of enhancement spells. He then held up the Guardian Bronze Bell, activating a bronze-colored halo that significantly boosted the frontal defense of the spear-and-shield Corpse Warriors.

Not to be outdone, Tiamat, the Black Gem Young Dragon, hovered beside Fang Zhou and let out a nascent dragon roar.

Death Aura!

Nether Dragon’s Might!

One by one, spells descended upon the front-rank Corpse Warriors. Under the glow of these spells, the already formidable warriors became even more powerful.

ROAR!

The Earth Demon Bear Monarch ran at the forefront of the pack, accompanied by two female Demon Bears who were also capable of casting innate spells. The Earth Demon Bear Monarch was taller than its kin, standing at least three meters tall. Its thick fur bristled, each hair as sharp as an axe blade. Its limbs were powerfully muscled, and immense strength surged through them.

Earth Binding!

As they roared, the three leading Earth Demon Bears unleashed their innate spells. Beams of grayish-white light fell upon the front-rank Corpse Warriors, instantly immobilizing the battle-ready undead. As the spell’s energy seeped into them, three of the charcoal-black Corpse Warriors turned a stark gray-white, their bodies transforming from bone into stone.

BOOM!

The Earth Demon Bears charged forward, smashing into the three petrified Corpse Warriors and sending them flying as chips of stone scattered through the air. Their armor shattered, and even the bones beneath cracked. They landed far in the distance, completely motionless.

The initial attack was a success. The Earth Demon Bear Monarch roared with excitement as more of its kin surged forward from behind.

But the Corpse Warriors did not sit idle. Although a breach had opened in their solid defensive formation, other warriors quickly filled the gap under the command of an Elite Corpse Officer. They were silent undead creatures, and every swing of their weapons was a harbinger of death.

Enhanced by Death Energy, their sharp long spears and war axes easily pierced the bodies of the charging Earth Demon Bears. Under the effects of Death Energy, the wounds turned a deathly gray and became necrotic.

The Earth Demon Bears’ combat prowess was also considerable. Their inherent strength was immense, and each blow from their fists violently shook the Corpse Warriors. The Corpse Warriors’ shields rang out with booming thuds under the assault. Under this relentless attack, some of the Corpse Warriors’ shields were already battered and looked as if they might shatter at any moment.

The Earth Demon Bear Monarch’s combat strength was particularly extraordinary. It had mastered two innate spells, a remarkable talent among Fierce Beasts. Most Black Iron Tier Fierce Beasts go their entire lives without growing a Magic Crystal, and thus never gain the ability to cast innate spells. Even for those with a Magic Crystal, the vast majority of Fierce Beasts will only ever possess a single innate spell.

The Demon Bear King unleashed its Rock Helmet Skill again, the Rock Armor providing it with impressive defensive power. The Corpse Warriors’ attacks felt like nothing more than scratches against it.

However, the Corpse Warriors were not the only opponents on the battlefield; there were also the far more powerful Fang Zhou and Vigus.

Fang Zhou had already descended from the tree. He was now mounted on his Skeleton Warhorse, ready to flee at a moment’s notice. A torrent of spells was released from his and Vigus’s hands.

Whip of Suffering!

Skeleton Cage!

Rotting Aura!

Horror Aura!

Undead Sky Screen!

Poison Cloud Skill!

These debilitating spells rained down upon the Earth Demon Bears as if they cost nothing at all.

ROAR!

After being struck by the weakening spells, the Earth Demon Bear Monarch not only grew weaker and its power diminished, but even its sight and hearing were stripped away. It thrashed about frantically, striking at anything in front of it—whether it was a Corpse Warrior or one of its own kin. Mana surged through its body as it unconsciously fought to wear down the power of these negative spells.

Finally, after seven or eight seconds, its own mana managed to counteract the effects of the negative control magic, allowing it to regain its sight and hearing.

Skeleton Shock Wave!

Skeleton Shock Wave!

Skeleton Shock Wave!

Fang Zhou activated his Ring of Shock, unleashing wave after wave of concussive force that erupted into a massive Skeleton Storm. Death Energy corroded the Earth Demon Bears’ fur and flesh, emitting a pungent, scorched stench and causing them to let out ceaseless cries of anguish.

Seeing this, Fang Zhou nodded in approval.

The Poison Cloud Skill and Rotting Aura for armor corrosion, combined with the wide-area attack of the Skeleton Shock Wave... The combination of these spells works quite well. It seems I’ve finally mastered a method for dealing large-scale damage.

The battle raged on without pause, and the fight between the Corpse Warriors and the Earth Demon Bears grew ever more intense. The Corpse Warriors fought in a disciplined battle formation, making the Earth Demon Bears look like a disorganized mob in comparison. But the Earth Demon Bears had impressive defenses and immense strength, much like soldiers clad in heavy armor.

Earth Demon Bears were continuously riddled with spears and cleaved by war axes, falling one after another with fatal wounds. In turn, Corpse Warriors were also dragged from the formation by the Earth Demon Bears’ brute strength. They were then pummeled by several bears at once, their armor and bones smashed to pieces and their Soul Fire snuffed out.

ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!

The Earth Demon Bear Monarch was no fool. It quickly realized that the skeletal figures before it were not living creatures. Fighting them to the death was utterly foolish. Although it was unaware of a profession like the Undead Mage, it could still sense the terrifying aura emanating from Fang Zhou in the distance.

Letting out a heart-stopping roar, the Demon Bear King broke through the Corpse Warriors’ blockade and charged toward Fang Zhou with a thunderous crash. It was now bathed in blood—some of it its own, some of it from its injured kin. Filled with incredible rage, it wanted nothing more than to tear Fang Zhou limb from limb.

But Fang Zhou wouldn’t give it that chance. With a slight pulse of his mana, the Skeleton Warhorse beneath him began to gallop. With a series of deft maneuvers, Fang Zhou consistently maintained a distance of over two hundred meters from the Earth Demon Bear Monarch.
