Chapter 675 - 451: Otherworld Beast Combat? Displaying Power Before the Crowd!
"The Teleportation Gate is about to open! Please have all your belongings ready for departure and do not linger at the passage entrance!"
A man’s voice echoed from the broadcast, repeating the announcement several times. As his voice faded, a blinding light began to flash throughout the teleportation hall. A massive Teleportation Gate, powered by a surge of Energy, materialized in the underground area.
Fang Zhou followed the flow of people through the gate, arriving in the Fierce Beast Mountain Range for the first time.

Unlike the fortresses on Blue Star, the base in the Fierce Beast Mountain Range boasted far more comprehensive defenses; it was less a base and more of a large, fortified city.
Upon exiting the teleportation hall, Fang Zhou was immediately greeted by the sight of towering city walls. A fortress stood here as well, its purpose to guard the Teleportation Gate. Nearby lay the sprawling metropolis of Beast Fighting City.
Countless Blue Star People called this city home. Some had even lived here for decades, getting married and raising families. Mortals and Professionals lived side-by-side, creating a unique cultural tapestry. Many Professionals had also established businesses and properties here.
A significant portion of these Professionals were graduates from various academies and retired military personnel. Together with Beast Fighting City itself, they formed a sustainable ecosystem. They coexisted harmoniously, relying on shared knowledge and a quasi-military management style. The city’s influence radiated across a vast territory, where large tracts of fertile land had been repurposed to cultivate Magic Potions or raise economically valuable Spirit Beasts.
After leaving the teleportation point, Fang Zhou naturally blended into this wondrous city.
Meanwhile, Yue Pengfei and the other senior students had their own missions to attend to. Although they were keen on recruiting Fang Zhou, their destinations were polar opposites, so they reluctantly had to give up, missing a golden opportunity to ride his coattails.
Fang Zhou spent a full day exploring the city. He found that its facilities were comprehensive, no different from the cities on Blue Star.
After familiarizing himself with the local customs of this Otherworld, Fang Zhou located the Sea City Military Academy’s local office. He registered his arrival in Beast Fighting City and prepared to get down to business. He hadn’t come here for Cultivation; he was here to complete his final assessment and earn a large amount of contribution points.
There were several ways to earn contribution points in Beast Fighting City. The simplest method was to find work at the plantations or one of the many Fierce Beast breeding farms. These establishments had official partnerships with the city, and working for them was a steady way to gain contribution points.
Alternatively, one could hunt Fierce Beasts in the Fierce Beast Mountain Range. The materials from these beasts, along with any gathered Magic Potions, could be exchanged for contribution points. One side of Beast Fighting City backed up against a massive mountain range. Its sprawling expanse was covered in dense forests, home to innumerable Fierce Beasts. These beasts would occasionally emerge from the woods, threatening the nearby plantations and breeding farms.
The other option was to head to the opposite side of Beast Fighting City and join the fight against the Beastman Tribes. Aside from the Fierce Beasts, the Beastman Tribes were the former rulers of this land. Their territory was vast and their population large, boasting many powerful Beastman Warriors. Throughout Beast Fighting City’s decades of history, at least eighty percent of the time had been spent locked in battle with these Beastmen. By joining the city’s garrison, one could fight Beastmen to earn military merit. Much like contribution points, military merit could also be exchanged for knowledge.
Of course, unlike the outside world, cooperation was the norm in Beast Fighting City. Going solo was not a viable option here, as the area was fraught with danger, and one never knew from where the next threat would emerge.
Thus, Fang Zhou began looking for a suitable team. As a student and a newcomer to the city, joining a team was a necessity. Beast Fighting City was nothing like the Caves or the Forest of Nature he had explored before; here, the dangers were blatant and out in the open. With the Beastman Tribes in one direction and the Fierce Beasts in the other, it wasn’t Fang Zhou’s style to rush out like a reckless novice without a plan.

In the center of Beast Fighting City was the Adventurer Association, an official establishment founded by Longxia to post tasks and missions. It also served as a hub for recruitment and job searching.
"Hello, this is my information." Fang Zhou handed a form with his details to the young woman behind the counter.
"Lieutenant Fang Zhou, your information has been verified. I’ll get it uploaded now," the clerk said in a soft voice.
After a moment of work, she handed him an electronic card. "This is your Adventurer ID card. Please keep it safe."
This card, which was linked to his personal terminal, contained his adventurer ID and served multiple functions in Beast Fighting City, including identity verification, transactions, and accepting missions.
Fang Zhou pocketed his new ID card and walked into the main hall on the first floor of the Adventurer Association. Several enormous screens dominated the room, scrolling with information. Fang Zhou’s attention was immediately drawn to the recruitment notices.
"URGENT: Seeking a Black Iron-Upper Tier Shield Guard. Must have 3+ years of combat experience and be a Level C Adventurer or higher. Temporary mission. Reward: Five hundred Magic Stones, plus an equal share of the spoils!"
"RECRUITING: A Black Iron Mage specializing in the Life Series. Must be proficient in Healing Magic. Level C Adventurer or higher for a long-term position. Monthly salary: One hundred Magic Stones."
"The Holy Spear Team is expanding! Seeking Wanderers, Warriors, Knights, and Casters. If you’ve got the skills, we want you! Compensation negotiable..."
Recruitment ads filled the screens, and the information provided was fairly comprehensive. With nothing else to do for the moment, Fang Zhou decided to stay and watch the screen until he found a suitable team. After watching for a while, he noticed a frustrating trend: most teams required experienced members.
Adventurer ranks were divided into Level D, C, B, and A, with Level A being the highest. Fang Zhou was currently a brand-new, Level D Adventurer. For someone in any other Profession, this lack of experience would be a frustrating barrier to entry. However, the requirement was understandable. In Beast Fighting City, hunting Fierce Beasts or fighting Beastmen were both extremely perilous activities. A team of experienced Adventurers would naturally have better coordination and synergy. Bringing a rookie into the mix could be a dangerous liability.
However, that problem mainly applied to other Professions. For a Mage, finding work was much easier. Practically every team was begging to add a Mage to their roster, especially one proficient in multiple schools of magic.
"Hey there, young man. Looking for a team?" a man asked, approaching Fang Zhou after seeing him stand in front of the recruitment board for a long time.
"I am," Fang Zhou replied, glancing at the man.
"I’m with the Holy Spear Team, in charge of recruitment," the man said. "We’re hiring right now. Interested in learning more?" He handed Fang Zhou a business card.
Fang Zhou took it and read: *Ma Yao, Vice-Captain, Holy Spear Team*.
"Are you a Mage?" Ma Yao asked.
"Yes. I’m an Undead Mage, and a newly registered Adventurer," Fang Zhou confirmed.
"Excellent! In that case, you should really consider our Holy Spear Team," Ma Yao said, his eyes lighting up. "Our captain is a Bronze-Tier powerhouse, and our team has over fifty members. We have plenty of Black Iron-Upper Tier Adventurers and a great training program for new recruits. If you join us, you definitely won’t regret it!"
Ma Yao slapped his own chest enthusiastically, the words tumbling out in a rush.
The offer sounded good, but it wasn’t what Fang Zhou was looking for. Yes, he was here to earn contribution points, but that wasn’t his only goal. More importantly, he needed to find significant prey or spoils to pass the special final assessment at Sea City Military Academy that would allow him to skip a grade. Negotiating for specific loot would be difficult in such a large team.
Fang Zhou politely declined the recruiter from the Holy Spear Team and continued his search, focusing on smaller groups.
Soon, he found one that seemed perfect: the Fierce Tiger Team. It was a small team with fewer than ten members. Better yet, the team captain was also a graduate of Sea City Military Academy. The alumni connection would surely make it easier to integrate.
