The young dragon’s body was a deep black, gleaming with a mysterious luster like the purest black gem. Its eyes weren’t fully open yet, but even in the dim light, two ghostly green glows could be seen flickering within them.

The newly hatched young dragon seemed a bit weak, but it quickly displayed an astonishing growth rate. It greedily devoured the surrounding Undead Attribute materials and the shattered eggshell, its body growing slightly with every bite.

Originally the size of a fist, its body visibly swelled to about half a meter long in just a few minutes, eventually reaching a meter in length. This didn’t even include its tail, which grew to another half-meter. Its tail was thick and powerful, with a sharp tip, seemingly poised to become a lethal weapon at any moment.

As the last piece of the eggshell was fully absorbed, the Black Gem Young Dragon finally ceased growing. It slowly opened its eyes and surveyed its surroundings, its gaze holding the innate pride of an apex predator.

Since Fang Zhou had already activated the master-servant contract given by Major General Ning Danxin, this Black Gem Young Dragon had long since acknowledged Fang Zhou as its master. Therefore, even though the rich resources it was nurtured on had allowed its energy level to reach Black Iron Middle Rank, it still lacked the power to break the contract and obediently accepted Fang Zhou as its master.
