Chapter 687: Truth and Lies 7

Gu Beicheng stretched out his hand, holding onto her small hand."He just went out, told me to take you back to the Feng Family if I’m free." Facing the girl’s gaze, the man did not seem to be joking.

"Third Young Master went out? When did he leave?" Xia Yinian used her other hand to push away Gu Beicheng’s hand.

"He just left; seems like he had some urgent matters." Gu Beicheng raised an eyebrow, "He said the favor you owe him, you could just repay it to me."

Xia Yinian looked at him, her brows lightly furrowed.

Could Uncle ever see her and not think about teasing her? Obviously, he couldn’t.

It is normal for Third Young Master to help her, and for her to help him in return. What does it mean to repay Third Young Master’s favor to Uncle?

"If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back first, Grandpa is still waiting." She pursed her lips, speaking softly.

"Isn’t it about repaying a favor? How did it suddenly become nothing?" Gu Beicheng looked at her, his face serious.

"So, how does Uncle want this favor repaid?" Xia Yinian’s voice grew fainter.

She didn’t doubt Uncle’s words; his relationship with Third Young Master was originally good, so it was plausible.

As long as he doesn’t go overboard, she would certainly do it.

"I want to eat your..." Gu Beicheng stood up, gazing down at the girl in front of him.

Waiting until her face turned slightly red with anger, he then added: "dinner that you cook."

"How about it? Is this request too much?"

The man fluttered his doll-like eyelashes a few times, and Xia Yinian immediately forgot about being angry.

Being handsome really has its advantages; at least when he deserves a scolding, you find it hard to do so because he’s too attractive.

But, what is he craving that he insists on her cooking?

"It’s not too much; what does Uncle want to eat?" Xia Yinian licked her lips, stepping back half a step.

"Feng Yan didn’t say there’s everything here? Tonight I want to eat fish, steamed river shrimp would be nice too, lettuce, and cold lotus root salad. Is there chicken? I want to eat chicken."

Uncle wants to eat chicken? Xia Yinian thought she heard wrong.

What to eat isn’t a problem, the issue is he’s a grown man, acting a bit childlike now.

"Uncle, it seems like everything is available here, but, how do I catch these fish, shrimp, and chicken? I think I can manage picking lettuce and digging lotus root."

Xia Yinian gave him a glance, turning to look at the vegetable garden.

It’s not that she didn’t want to repay the favor; she definitely would if she could.

"Are fish and shrimp caught with hands?" Gu Beicheng hooked his lips, taking Xia Yinian’s hand, and walking outside.

Aren’t fish and shrimp caught? Xia Yinian still remembered the pond she saw when she first came in.

The pond they passed by had lots of fish, she wasn’t sure if the river shrimp were kept in another pond.

When Uncle said not needed to be caught, did he mean he himself doesn’t have to catch, or what?

After pondering for a moment, Xia Yinian realized that Uncle was holding her hand.

She tried shaking her hand free, but found that her action, besides hurting herself, didn’t affect the man at all.

"Uncle, let go of me first." She huffed coldly.

"I won’t! You could scream your lungs out and no one would come; you can try if you like." Gu Beicheng did not look at her, continuing forward.

No one saw the hint of a smile deep in his eyes, clearly carrying a teasing tone.

Xia Yinian took a deep breath and exhaled sharply.

When Uncle said no one, then it’s definitely "no one"; even if someone hears, they would pretend not to.

Who would dare to go against him, Seventh Young Master?
