Chapter 97 The First Night
Chapter 97 The First Night
Nancy put the last plate in the drainer. She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck, looking up into his eyes. "Actually, you've done enough. You can go back tomorrow. You don't have to set yourself up for me. Your parents only have you as a child."
"Don't be stupid," Draco said, pulling her closer to him, "I can't leave you alone. I can't live the rest of my life without you. Don't tell me it's too long." I'll forget you." He gently covered her mouth with his fingers.
"My parents have said this sentence countless times. The feelings of youth can't be counted. It's just that it's hard to let go at that time. After a long time, you will meet better people. Who doesn't have only For a relationship, time will erase everything." Draco smiled mockingly, "I know the truth, and I tried to forget you. But that feeling is too painful. I'm afraid I haven't had time to forget you, because I can't bear it Pain destroys itself first."
"You don't believe it?" Draco looked at Nancy's sneering expression and asked, "I've already done it. Just when I forced my parents to submit, in order to break off the engagement. I took the Water of Eternal Sleep."
Nancy stared at him with wide eyes.
Draco continued with a look of lingering fear, "No one told me that the water of eternal sleep would slowly corrode people. I thought it would only make people sleep forever without pain. I set the time and waited for them to find me .But after they found out and sent to St. Mungo's, my stomach wall had been corroded to only a thin layer. But if it wasn't discovered, I was ready to end like this."
Draco paused and took a deep breath, it was a painful memory for him. "You know that fear that you can't wake up but you can still feel that you are going to be dissolved? Although there is no pain, I know that I am slowly disappearing... After St. Mungo's stomach is cleaned, then This kind of pain comes suddenly, I feel that my stomach can no longer hold anything..." He trembled slightly.
Nancy hugged him tightly, her heart overflowing with self-blame.
Draco paused for a while and looked at her, "Who told you to team up with Weasley to torture me in every possible way? You hide from me when you see me in school, and if you can't hide, just treat me as a wall. You Kissing me all the time.. I was so desperate. I even wanted you to regret it. If my parents hadn't found me, appreciating your knowledge of my death would be the only thing to look forward to .”
"How can you appreciate it even when you're dead?" Nancy looked puzzled.
"Just thinking about it makes me happy." Draco smiled cruelly, and he looked at her, "Nancy, will you be heartbroken for me?"
"I will at that time, but I will definitely forget you after a long time..." Nancy replied after thinking for a while.
"You are such a cruel person." Draco looked at her, and couldn't help pinching her waist, "Forget about me and then what? How about with Weasley? Don't think about it! My parents won't Let you go! I guess they will find a way to kill you and bury you with me."
Nancy frowned and looked at him, feeling that the Malfoys could really do this kind of thing, she couldn't help but feel a little drummed in her heart, "You didn't plan on doing that at the time, did you? You're terrible!"
"Guess?" Draco looked at her with a slightly terrified expression. He couldn't help laughing, "You are so stupid! Don't you understand by now? I can't do anything to hurt you. I can only hurt myself. Astoria doesn't count, it's me Affected by the medicine."
"I will not allow anyone to hurt you. I stuffed the letter to my parents in my pocket. Tell them, this is my own decision. If they blame you, I will never get it in another world." Peace. If my soul had any knowledge, it would find a way to be wiped out."
Nancy looked at him with a complicated expression, unable to speak.
"Did I scare you?" Draco regretted a little, and he quickly kissed her face, "Don't be afraid, I scared you to play. I just want to be with you. Nancy, you don't know how much I want With you... I will never do anything to hurt you, I swear. If you don't believe me, we can make an unbreakable vow. Only bind me!"
Nancy watched him shake her head and leaned back into his arms, "I believe in you, Draco. I just want to be with you too."
Draco breathed a sigh of relief, "Then you are not allowed to say anything about driving me away. After hearing this, I think I deserve your sympathy at least?"
"I'm very sympathetic." Nancy said with constriction in his chest.
"After that, you are not allowed to say anything like it would be better and more suitable for me to find someone else!" He further proposed.
Nancy nodded.
"Don't share your heart with others!"
Nancy nodded again.
"Don't mention someone as my fiancee again! Don't..." Draco began to rack his brains to make various demands.
Nancy tiptoed to hold his face and kissed him, "I promise you, Draco..."
When night fell, Nancy turned on the switch on the wall, and the whole room was brightly lit. "It's beautiful... Is this something Muggles came up with? I think it's much better than our lighting. It seems that Muggles are much smarter than we thought. They have done a lot of things that can replace magic."
There was a flash of disapproval in Draco's eyes, "You can just think about these words in your own mind, don't say them out. If my parents hear..."
"Hey, Draco, do you think they'll have a chance to hear?" Nancy pulled out the ingredients to prepare dinner. "We're on the run, and we don't know how long we'll be on the run. It's very dangerous... Of course there's a chance we'll see them soon, like being caught by the Death Eaters."
Nancy decided to fry some steak. She took out a piece of filet, which had been marinated.Narcissa's handwritten label on the box, (balsamic vinegar, parsley and sea salt pepper and olive oil). She paused, "Your mother really loves you so much, she has thought of everything for you."
Draco leaned over to glance at the label on the box, and was silent for a moment. "But I always let her down." He looked at Nancy's side face and said quietly, "It's all your fault, so you have to make it up to me."
"How well done do you like to eat?" Nancy asked, ignoring his complaints, taking out the doneness label and sticking it into the pot.
"Medium." Draco replied without thinking.
"Okay." Nancy brushed the frying pan with some butter, and when the pan was hot, she put the meat in. The steak immediately made a sizzling sound, "It's the first time I'm doing it, so I don't guarantee it will be done well." She stared at it with good eyes. Said with the steak.
"Whatever you make is delicious." Draco began to perform fancy boasting on the sidelines.
"You don't say that if it's mushy." Nancy flipped the steak while watching where the color of the doneness label had risen.
"I think it's delicious even if you fry it into a piece of coke." Draco continued to boast.
"You put it that way, I really want to try frying it into coke." Nancy said with a smile.
Draco shut up immediately.
After flipping through it about four times, the doneness label reached medium, and now the juice on the surface of the steak has been absorbed, leaving only a quarter of the pink meat. "Draco, warm up the plate," Nancy said quickly.
"How hot? What spells? I'm not good at cooking spells." Draco took a plate and held his wand, feeling at a loss as to what to do.
"Whatever spell you use to burn the back of my hand, just use a hot plate." Nancy glanced at him with a half-smile.
Draco couldn't help but his heart shrank, he put his arms around her waist and begged, "Don't mention that..."
"If you don't hurry up, you can eat medium well in a while." Nancy continued to turn the steak.
Draco quickly let go of her, and pointed his wand at the plate to activate the spell, and the plate became hot immediately.Nancy put the meat in, "It's too hot, don't handle it with your hands, use the floating spell."
Draco flicked his wand lightly, and the plate containing the steak floated in mid-air, swayed slightly, floated to the cooking table, and then slowly fell.Nancy made another copy in the same way.Add a pot of cream of mushroom soup and toast with a green salad of tuna puree and chopped hard-boiled eggs.
"You're really delicious!" Draco said contentedly after dinner.
"Are you saying that so that I can cook for you in the future?" Nancy smiled and stood up to clean up the dishes. "There's no dessert, I won't make it."
"No need for dessert." Draco stood up quickly and helped her carry the dishes to the sink. "I remember there was supposed to be a dishwashing spell, but I don't know what it is..."
"It's okay, it will be finished soon." Nancy turned on the faucet and swished the dishes.
After washing the dishes, she dug out a bag of sour lemon drops from a wall cabinet. "Otherwise you eat this?"
Draco smiled, took the sugar bag from her hand and threw it back into the cupboard. "It's enough to eat enough."
After dinner they suddenly seemed to have nothing to do.Nancy opened the cabinets one by one to see what was there. In the closet she found a pile of hanging clothes, all seasons, "It seems your mother wants us to live here for a long time." She said thoughtfully.
"Not good?" Draco walked over to her and watched with her. "You can wear this after you take a shower." He picked out a light yellow cotton suspender nightdress from the dress, with a lovely wide lace of the same color underneath.
Nancy glanced at him, then hung up the skirt unnaturally, "You don't need to choose for me!"
Draco suddenly realized what he was doing, stepped aside and said unnaturally, "Then, you choose."
Nancy closed the closet, "I'm not sleepy yet!"
"Oh, I'm not sleepy either," Draco said quickly.
They walked out of the bedroom one after the other in a strange atmosphere and walked into the living room.Since they are slow to cook and eat, it is already 10:30 in the evening.
Draco sat with Nancy in the living room for another half hour.Although Nancy was extremely tired physically after a day of tossing, she didn't feel sleepy at all mentally.
"I'm going to wash up." She stood up suddenly and said.
"Oh...well...you go first..." Draco said dryly, looking a little at a loss.
