Chapter 854: Driving Her Away
Chapter 854: Driving Her Away
It was the first time Finn Morgan had officially taken a closer look at her. Her hair was styled in braids, sparkling with colors, and her shoes were mismatched in two different shades, definitely showing her unique personality."I’m talking to you! Did you hear me?" she said rudely. Seeing he didn’t respond, she took out her phone and called CEO Kingston herself.
Finn Morgan watched her sleeping face and recalled the day of CEO Kingston and President Lane’s wedding, where she served as a bridesmaid.
Her elegant dress that day was so different from her usual self, the gauzy gown left him stunned, and he couldn’t help but steal a few more glances at her during the wedding.
There was also that company benefits event, which left a strong impression on him.
Because of a 90% discount, she hadn’t even worked a full day but had already gotten an employee ID, and with her girlfriends went on a shopping spree at The Kingston Group Mall, piling up shopping carts higher than herself. On the day he went for an inspection, he was once again shocked.
From that day on, Finn Morgan found her to be an incredibly intriguing soul, always so different from the rest.
Then on that rainy day, she got into his car without much explanation, insisting on going home with him, saying she had lost her keys.
At his home, she shed hair everywhere, didn’t pay attention to the details... and even took over his bed.
As he thought about it, Finn Morgan couldn’t help but smile a soft, gentle smile. He bent down to adjust her blanket and smoothed the hair on her forehead, unable to resist placing a soft kiss on it.
Finn Morgan vowed to protect her with all his might in this lifetime, not letting her suffer even a bit.
If someone has entered your heart, you must love them well.
Finn Morgan didn’t sleep all night; he sat in the hospital room, thinking deeply while keeping Hailey Hale company and observing Melissa Merce’s condition.
If she could wake up on her own, they wouldn’t have to trouble Dr. Shelby to make a trip.
The next morning.
Melissa Merce was still unconscious, not even a finger moved, just like a sleeping beauty.
Hailey Hale stretched and woke up from her dreams, the first person she saw upon opening her eyes was Finn Morgan.
Sitting by the bedside, he startled her with a shock!
"..." Hailey was instantly wide awake because Finn Morgan was so close.
She looked around, remembering they were in a hospital room, and saw Melissa lying unconscious on the nearby bed.
Hailey quickly averted her eyes and withdrew her hand from his grasp!
"What do you want to eat?" Finn Morgan smiled softly and asked in a gentle voice, "I’ll go downstairs to buy it for you."
"Whatever."
This cold attitude, in Finn Morgan’s eyes, still looked adorable.
How can her little temper come and go like this?
So he stood up, a slight smile on his lips, "Alright, I’ll get you ’whatever’, so you hurry up and get up." With that, he turned and left.
Hailey Hale watched his back disappear at the door, pursing her lips. After a whole night, was it time to stop being mad? She didn’t even know why she was upset.
Hailey also thought, could he have stayed with Melissa all night?
Did he just come to her side when it was time to wake up?
Looking at the unconscious girl on the nearby bed, Hailey felt a bit envious. Even though her forehead was wrapped in thick bandages, her delicate features were still visible.
Most importantly, she had known Finn Morgan long ago, something Hailey envied the most.
At this moment, the door to the hospital room was pushed open.
Hailey Hale turned her gaze and saw the elders of The Monroe Family come in.
She stopped folding the sheets, observing Claudia’s unwelcoming expression, and Hailey became more cautious.
"Hailey Hale, there’s no need for you to be here anymore." Claudia approached her, speaking in a hasty manner, "My Cindy doesn’t need your company."
Facing her gaze, Hailey replied cleanly and neatly, "I didn’t come here for Melissa Merce. I don’t even know her. I came to be with Finn Morgan."
Hearing this, Claudia’s face darkened, and she raised her voice, "Don’t be ungrateful!"
