Chapter 843: Finn Morgan’s Choice
Chapter 843: Finn Morgan’s Choice
Upon hearing these words, Jocelyn Morgan’s eyelashes fluttered violently, and she fell into deep thought."Then why would she cause the car accident? Doesn’t she care about her life?" Jocelyn questioned, "Does she want you to feel guilty? But if she really got killed, what would be the point of your guilt?"
Finn Morgan felt a bit of a headache, "I’m not really suspecting, just that such a thought flashed through my mind, not ruling out this possibility."
"But no matter what, she is already in a coma, and it wouldn’t make sense for you to completely ignore her." Jocelyn acted as the mediator.
"I know." Finn furrowed his brow slightly, "That’s why I’m still here."
He had some conscience left, aware that he owed Melissa a favor and couldn’t wrong her without evidence.
If it wasn’t a conspiracy, and if it weren’t for Melissa, it would have been his mother who got hurt today.
Finn thought to himself, he’d go back to Riventhal tomorrow and confess all this to Hailey; she would surely understand, being so kind-hearted.
Hailey also knew that he didn’t love Melissa at all.
"Brother." Jocelyn understood the burden in his heart, "Aunt feels very sorry, sorry to Melissa, and to you. If you’ve really made up your mind, go upstairs and comfort her a bit."
"Okay." Finn sighed lightly and turned around to walk towards the inpatient department.
Jocelyn followed closely behind him.
The elevator doors opened, and Ian Shelby came out carrying a suitcase. After walking a few steps, he saw the approaching siblings.
"Dr. Shelby." Finn quickly approached, "When will Melissa wake up?"
Jocelyn’s gaze fell on this gentle and refined man, tall and slender. Just seeing him from a distance, she felt he exuded an inexplicable gentle aura.
"Special Assistant Morgan." Ian Shelby said to him, "Her will to survive is weak. She needs a force to support her in order to wake up."
Ian continued, "But she won’t die; there’s a chance of various symptoms appearing after she wakes up from her head injury. I’ll come to check on her again in a few days when I have time."
"Okay, thank you for your hard work."
"You’re welcome."
Ian carried his suitcase and walked past him, heading towards the hospital entrance.
Jocelyn turned her gaze, watching the man’s receding silhouette, "So he is Ian Shelby?"
"Yes."
A feeling of admiration rose in the girl’s heart, "This is what it means to be promising at a young age! Was he the one who saved Melissa? Even though she was so severely injured, even the doctors had said there was no hope."
Finn thought Ian Shelby had done a great job.
Waking her up wouldn’t be difficult either.
"Let’s go." Finn suddenly felt much more relaxed, "Jocelyn, tell Mom not to have any mental burden."
"Brother, I have to ask you something, and you have to answer me honestly!" Inside the elevator, Jocelyn turned her gaze, "Did you have someone investigate this car accident?"
"Of course," Finn didn’t hide it.
She asked again, "If it was Melissa’s conspiracy?"
"Then I will tell her parents," Finn answered calmly, "Even if she remains a vegetable for life, I won’t feel a bit guilty, and there’s no way I would stay by her side."
"And if it wasn’t a conspiracy?"
"..." Finn was silent.
Jocelyn pressed further, "If it wasn’t a conspiracy, if she never wakes up? What will you do?"
Finn’s indifferent gaze fell on her face, "With Ian Shelby around, she won’t remain unconscious."
"You’re that confident in him, huh?" This piqued Jocelyn’s curiosity about Ian even more, "Is he truly a living miracle?"
