Chapter 814: Welcome to Our Family
Chapter 814: Welcome to Our Family
"Wasn’t I pretty before?" Hailey asked with a smile."No, you were," Finn quickly corrected himself, "You were always pretty."
Hailey couldn’t help but praise him, "Jocelyn’s makeup skills are quite impressive, I also think I look better today than usual!"
The two chatted as they went downstairs.
Finn led her into the large living room on the west side.
"Hello to both grandpas!"
The two old men turned their heads at the sound, quickly stood up, and beckoned to the kids—
"Come, come, Finn! Old Albright, let me introduce you, this is my precious grandson!"
"Hailey, come over! Old Morgan, this is the granddaughter I was telling you about!"
The two elderly men couldn’t help but rush to introduce each other’s children!
Their intentions were so clear, they just wanted to matchmake!
But as the words fell, they only then noticed Finn and Hailey’s fingers tightly entwined.
"You two..." The grandpas were stunned, exchanging a bewildered glance.
"Grandpa," Finn said with a smile, his voice gentle, "Grandpa Albright’s granddaughter is the girlfriend I made in Riventhal."
Hailey gracefully greeted Grandpa Morgan again, "Hello, Grandpa." She was especially polite.
In the antiquely decorated large living room, there was a two-second silence!
After the silence, the two elderly men excitedly embraced each other—
"This is wonderful! It’s such a rare fate!"
"We don’t even need to matchmake! It’s family joining family!"
Finn and Hailey also breathed a sigh of relief, bursts of laughter and joy were shared, harmoniously and joyfully.
"Kids, let’s go!" Grandpa Morgan happily said, "Let’s go out and welcome the guests."
After speaking, the two grandpas took steps outside.
Finn told them, "I’ll first take Hailey to meet my parents, we’ll be out shortly." He was considering everything thoroughly.
Through the floor-to-ceiling window, they saw his father in the courtyard, holding a wine glass and greeting people.
Finn took Hailey to find his mother first.
"I didn’t bring anything," Hailey felt embarrassed, halting his steps, "The birthday gifts were all prepared by my dad. Should we drive out and buy something now?"
"No need," Finn responded gently, "My mom is very understanding; she will get it."
But Hailey thought otherwise, "Your mom likes Melissa a lot, right?" She always had such worries.
Finn was slightly taken aback, then seriously answered her, "But she’ll like you even more. I’ve talked with my dad in the study; my feelings are up to me, so don’t feel any burden."
After saying this, he held her hand tighter, as if to give her some invisible strength.
Finn led Hailey to find his mother in another living room.
Jasmine, true to her name, dressed elegantly and was exceptionally beautiful, giving off a gentle and graceful vibe.
Seeing her son bring his little girlfriend over, she quickly put down the teacup in her hand, stood up, and looked at them with a smile.
"Hailey, let me introduce you," Finn stopped at the coffee table, still holding her hand, "This is my mother."
"Hello, Auntie," Hailey respectfully greeted.
"Mom," Finn said to her, "Her name is Hailey Hale, she’s my girlfriend."
Jasmine smiled as she appraised the girl beside her son, recalling the scene of her clinging to her son like an octopus, she found her quite adorable.
Hailey, poised and calm, met her future mother-in-law’s gaze with a bit of nervousness inside.
Finally, their gazes met, and Jasmine said to her, "Hailey, welcome to our family!"
Hailey hadn’t expected to receive approval so quickly, and meeting her mother-in-law’s kind gaze, she also flashed a smile, "Thank you, Auntie!"
