Chapter 802: Finn Morgan Is Back

Chapter 802: Finn Morgan Is Back

"We’re almost there, in Veridia." Dennis Hale drove at a slow pace. "The roadside scenery is rare; take a good look.""Veri... dia??"

Hailey Hale quickly shut her mouth, leaned back lightly against the seat, and couldn’t help but think of Finn Morgan’s grandfather.

She still felt a bit sorry, after all, she promised Finn but was intercepted by her dad early in the morning.

Early morning.

The white Maybach drove through the grand and imposing gates of the Morgan family villa, the long asphalt road leading to the open-air parking lot in front of the villa.

The garden was still large, with exquisite plants and flowers trimmed into shape, and a few cars parked not far away.

The diligent servants were busy in the garden; the banquet venue was already set up, and the atmosphere for the birthday feast was exuberant.

Inside the house with the doors wide open, Zachary Merce was deliberately chatting with Grandpa Morgan.

"Melissa and Finn grew up together; they couldn’t be more familiar with each other. If they get married, they’d even skip the adjustment period." Zachary said, smiling broadly, purposefully bringing up this topic again.

Though Grandpa was eighty, he was not only in good health but also very clear-minded, "A day apart feels like three autumns. Finn hasn’t been back for years; how could they be familiar? I’d say they’re quite estranged, right?"

Grandpa spoke with a smile on his face, offending no one.

"Sir, you can’t calculate it like this." Zachary persisted, "Our families know each other well, and if the kids were to marry, it would elevate things in every way."

"I heard Finn has a girlfriend?" Grandpa sipped some tea and asked, "Did you see the news?"

Just as Zachary felt a bit awkward, the white Maybach pulled up in the garden.

The car door opened, and Finn got out, his tall and lean figure caught Zachary’s eye.

He was the only one who came back!

So, Zachary confirmed his hunch and smiled, reminding the elder next to him, "Sir, Finn is back!"

The elder looked outside the door, a familiar long-missed figure walking toward them.

Zachary made it clear, "What girlfriend? If he really had one, he’d bring her today. If he’d dare to make it on the news, why not bring her home?"

The elder also found it strange. He didn’t bring anyone? He thought he would bring someone.

Zachary observed the elder’s expression and said firmly, "Finn definitely doesn’t have a girlfriend. Melissa was being a bit too eager, and he did it to annoy Melissa."

"Not having a girlfriend is good!" Grandpa displayed a hint of a smile.

"So the marriage..."

"The marriage will be discussed later." The elder looked slightly serious, "Today’s the birthday banquet. Excuse me; I need to check if my comrade’s outfit is alright."

With that, the elder didn’t wait for his precious grandson and cheerfully walked inside with his dragon-headed cane, as if there was some monumental joy to discuss with a comrade.

In the garden, Melissa hiked up her skirt and ran in heels to Finn, stopping in front of him, looking joyful but breathless. "Finn! You’re finally back! I’ve been waiting for you for three hours!"

Jocelyn Morgan, running, stopped in her tracks, feeling a bit restless as she watched the scene. She ran a step behind! Then she rolled her eyes and turned toward the villa.

As soon as Melissa finished talking, she shamelessly linked arms with Finn.

But he quickly shook her off, "Don’t do that, I have a girlfriend." His voice was extremely distant, then he walked toward the villa.

Melissa could sense those watching eyes from not far away; she didn’t want to lose face, so she maintained a smile, following beside Finn and asking with a smile while turning her gaze, "How long will you be back this time? Will you stay for a while?"

Finn didn’t even bother to give her a distant tone, directly quickening his pace, and walked into the villa’s entrance.
