Chapter 1311: Can’t Wait to Share
"Don’t play with your phone during work hours," Simon said while cross-checking an important report, not even raising his head, "If Mr. Trevino sees you, you’re doomed.""..." Cecilia Dunn immediately felt her nerves tighten again, grabbing her phone and glancing at him.
Seeing Simon’s serious expression, she quickly put her phone back in the drawer, glanced cautiously at the door, then turned back to Simon, leaning forward and asking in a low voice, "Assistant Simon, is your Mr. Trevino a particularly aloof person?"
"Not aloof, he’s meticulous about his work."
"..." Cecilia seriously pondered over those words and then muttered softly, "Isn’t that the same thing?"
"Mr. Trevino’s attitude towards work will definitely overturn your perception," Simon’s eyes were full of admiration, "He’s someone who particularly values time, therefore he dislikes slacking off the most. Even though you know each other, if you’re playing with your phone during work hours, he won’t hesitate to penalize you."
Hearing this, Cecilia pursed her lips, suddenly feeling a bit nervous again.
Soon, footsteps approached, and she quickly sat upright, picked up the documents in front of her again.
When Trevor walked in, Cecilia was intensely focused, not allowing her mind to wander even a bit.
At that moment, Jocelyn Morgan, who was hiking, received a WeChat message from Cecilia Dunn. Because it mentioned Trevor, she didn’t even reply and hurriedly put her phone away.
"Who is it? Why aren’t you replying?" Ian Shelby asked casually.
"It’s Cecilia, nothing worth replying to," she shrugged with a smile, "Just got a job, just suggesting we meet up sometime."
Ian didn’t ask further, knowing he wouldn’t join the gathering anyway.
This mountain is a scenic spot, with small wooden cabins every two hundred meters, offering water and meals, serving as resting areas.
"It’s a shame I didn’t bring my laptop today," Jocelyn said, admiring the view as she walked, feeling joyful and creatively inspired.
The clear skies, large patches of vegetation caught her eye, crisscrossed rivers visible clearly, towering skyscrapers standing majestically.
The expansive view lifted her spirits, all worries cast aside, as if yesterday’s unhappiness never occurred.
"Bring it next time," Ian interlocked his fingers with hers, "This time, let’s skip writing, enjoy the scenery, chat, and bond."
"Mm-hmm," she smiled, happy to be with him, "It’s just that this sense of elevation and perspective sparks my creativity."
"Later, you can jot down notes on your phone, we have plenty of time, we’ll head down after watching the sunset," Ian arranged a day to accompany her.
"I think it’ll be beautiful, like a painting."
This brought Jocelyn back to the last time, when she sent him a photo of the sunset, thinking then how wonderful it would be to watch it with him someday.
Her dream had unexpectedly come true so soon.
At 12 noon, lunch time arrived.
Cecilia Dunn picked up her phone and directly dialed Jocelyn Morgan’s number, eager to share many things.
Ian was currently at the mountain top helping Jocelyn take pictures, using her phone.
The phone suddenly rang.
"Who is it?" Jocelyn turned around, walking towards him.
"Your bestie."
"Wait a second, let me take this call," Jocelyn feeling a bit nervous, knowing it would inevitably involve Trevor in a few words.
Handing him the phone, the ringing continued.
"Answer it," Ian’s voice was gentle, "We can take pictures after lunch, there’s no rush."
"Mm," Jocelyn held the phone, smiling at him, "Why don’t you check if Auntie’s finished cooking, I’m a bit hungry."
"Alright," Ian agreed happily, turning towards the nearby wooden cabin.
Jocelyn watched him walk away before sliding the answer button, putting the phone to her ear, Cecilia’s loud voice came through, "Why are you answering so late? Even hiking you don’t have your phone with you?"
