Chapter 1309: Mr. Trevino’s Intent Lies Elsewhere

Trevor raised his eyes, looking calmly at the girl bowing her head in front of his desk.At this moment, Simon spoke up for introductions, "Mr. Trevino, this is the new assistant we just hired, her name is Cecilia Dunn."

Cecilia Dunn looked up, meeting Trevor’s deep gaze.

"..." Cecilia pressed her lips together, staying silent, regretting having spoken too much earlier.

Trevor’s impression of Cecilia plummeted, but thinking of something else, his expression softened a bit, and he waved Simon away.

Cecilia dared not look at him, slowly turning around, finding the teacup uncomfortably hot in her hand, awkward!

Trevor’s eyes shifted slightly, his deep, dark eyes looking at her again, thin lips opening softly, "How is Jocelyn doing?"

"Ah?" Cecilia was momentarily stunned, meeting his gaze.

Trevor stared at her unblinkingly, waiting for an answer.

Cecilia sighed in relief, suddenly not as nervous, she took a sip of tea and started rambling, "Are you talking about that thing where her doctor boyfriend brought another woman home overnight?"

"I thought it was strange! The news blew up so much, I was too busy yesterday, constantly organizing materials for the interview, didn’t have time to..."

"To the point." Trevor gently interrupted.

Cecilia shut her mouth quickly, gathering her thoughts to reorganize her words, "I called her this morning; she’s doing quite well, actually hiking with Dr. Shelby!"
