Chapter 72: Abyssal Night Physique (S Rank)

"Old Ni, go eat the fruit from the Dark Element’s area. I will go check up on Garnak’s process." Ash chuckled and started to walk away.

He then abruptly stopped and looked at the old man beside him, giving a thumbs up. "Goodluck."

He believed that Old Ni would be able to pass the trial. That was precisely why he just gave him a thumbs up and said nothing.

Subsequently, he went toward the Earth Element’s Area and saw that Garnak’s process was still ongoing.

A few minutes later, Old Ni came back with a wide smile as he felt that his strength had increased considerably.

Ash raised an eyebrow and looked at Old Ni, checking his personal information.

[Nirgos Ragh’Tal]

[Age: 65]

[Race: Human]

[Rank: 6th Rank Warrior]

[Physique: Abyssal Night Physique (S Rank)]

[Talent: Ironblood Sword Mastery (A Rank)]

[Equipment: Cinderfall Sovereign]

[Stats (x384)]: Strength: 350 / Agility: 449 / Health: 350 / Endurance: 350 / Sense: 350 / Mana: 350 / Magic: 350

[Active Skills]:

[Sword Domain – Domain Type (S Rank) — Create a sword domain centered on the wielder. Within the domain:

—> Enemy movement speed is reduced by 33% (50% if they are sword wielders)

—> Increase sword attack by 100%]

[Night Devourer – Domain Type (S Rank) — Releases a violent surge of abyssal darkness from the user’s body, causing black mist to erupt outward and shroud the surrounding battlefield in oppressive shadow. The dimmed field suppresses enemy perception, erodes their senses over time, and allows the user to blend into the darkness while dealing corrosion-type shadow damage with every attack.]

[Sever the Line (A Rank) — Executes a wide, sweeping slash designed for battlefield dominance. The attack can strike multiple enemies in a single arc.]

[Iron Weight Slash (B Rank) — A brutal downward strike that channels full body mass and momentum into the blade.]

...

"Your gain is really good." Ash chuckled lightly, then realized something and immediately became pissed because he didn’t gain anything even after consuming 5 different kinds of these fruits.

"Yeah. I feel like I’d become invisible if I were to use the new skill that I just obtained and Sword Domain at the same time." Old Ni smiled widely as he couldn’t help feeling excited at the thought of trying his new combination skill.

Subsequently, Ash called Leon inside and led him to the Fire Area as he was curious of what kind of wonder would happen when a genuine fire dragon consumed the Blazing Sunfruit.

The Fire Area trembled faintly as Leon stood before the Crimson Solarblaze Tree, his draconic pupils reflecting the blazing fruits above.

He looked completely at ease here. Unlike Ash, who had endured violent backlash, Leon felt as if he was at home.

The volcanic ground pulsed faintly beneath his claws. Heat rolled across the air in waves, yet Leon merely stretched his wings lazily as if basking under a pleasant sun.

Ash raised an eyebrow. "Eat it."

Leon didn’t hesitate as with a small leap, he snapped one Blazing Sunfruit from the branch and swallowed it whole.

CRACK!

The outer shell shattered between his fangs and then, crimson fire exploded outward.

BOOOOOOM!

A vortex of crimson flames spiraled around Leon’s body, wrapping him completely. The volcanic ground beneath him began to melt into glowing magma once more as the temperature rose instantly, even higher than when Ash consumed the fruit.

Ash stepped backward instinctively, narrowing his eyes. "This heat..."

Leon roared in excitement. The crimson fire around him began to condense, its color deepening from bright red to dark scarlet, then into a richer, more oppressive hue that carried ancient draconic authority.

The flames thickened in essence as they weren’t just hotter, but became purer and more refined.

The Blazing Sunfruit’s essence flowed into Leon’s core, merging seamlessly with his draconic bloodline. His scales glowed faintly, lines of molten red tracing between them like lava veins beneath obsidian rock.

WOOOOSH!

A column of fire shot into the cavern ceiling. The surrounding flames responded to him instinctively, bending slightly toward his presence like loyal subjects kneeling before their sovereign.

The crimson blaze wrapped tighter around his body, compressing inward as his aura intensified.

The air itself distorted so violently that even Ash’s Fire Affinity reacted faintly, resonating with the surge.

But before he could observe further, Old Ni contacted him.

"Tribe Lord." Old Ni’s voice carried urgency. "There’s movement in the Earth Area."

Ash’s eyes sharpened. "What kind?"

"The gravity... it’s shifting." Old Ni replied.

The next second, a distant tremor shook the ground beneath their feet.

BOOOOOOM!

"Keep watching him." Ash didn’t waste another word and said, as he instantly went toward the Earth Element’s area.

The moment Ash crossed the bronze barrier, he felt it as the pressure was heavier than before.

At the center, Garnak stood unmoving. The earth around him had risen in a circular formation, massive slabs of stone hovering midair as if caught in invisible gravitational tides.

CRACK!

A small fracture formed beneath his foot as the gravity intensified.

Ash’s pupils constricted because the weight in the entire area increased so abruptly that even he felt a slight pull on his shoulders.

Then Garnak’s fingers twitched and the floating stones crashed to the ground as the gravitational distortion stabilized.

Garnak inhaled deeply before moving his neck slightly, cracking it from side to side.

Finally, his eyes opened, they glowed faintly with a deep amber light as he looked down at his hands.

Ash walked forward calmly. "How does it feel?"

Garnak remained silent for a moment, then he stomped his foot lightly.

BOOM!

The ground shattered outward in a controlled ring.

"Heavy..." Garnak said slowly as he flexed his arm, his muscle fibers compressed visibly beneath his skin, denser than before.

"But stable." He looked at Ash, then at the surrounding area. "It feels like the ground listens."

Ash raised an eyebrow. "Listens?"

Garnak bent down and placed his palm on the soil, then a faint tremor spread outward in a circular wave.

Ash raised an eyebrow when he saw it.

Garnak stood upright again, rolling his shoulders. The oppressive gravity that had spiked earlier gradually settled, but his presence alone still carried weight.

He grinned faintly. "My body feels tougher than before. Like even if a mountain fell, I could hold it."

Old Ni’s voice echoed through the system again since Ash told him to look after Leon while he would look after Garnak. "The dragon’s transformation is stabilizing."
