Tribal Lord: SSS Ranked Taming Primitive Beauties and The Beasts!

Chapter 64 - 100%

Chapter 64 - 100%

Leon stood over the corpse and roared triumphantly as he lifted his head.

[Ding! Leon has killed a 4th Rank Dire Wolf]

[Ding! The progress at 4th Rank has increased to 50%]

Looking at the notifications in front of his eyes, Ash knitted his eyebrows. ’What?! Only got increased by 50% even after killing a higher rank beast?’

"Is it because this was his first time and the result was just so-so?" Ash mumbled softly, thinking to himself. ’Maybe it’s just that hard to increase the progress?’

’Fck it. Whatever.’ Ash shook his head as he couldn’t be careless anymore about it.

"What are you doing? Killing your opponent after struggling like that and you have the nerve to be proud of it?" Ash snorted in disdain at Leon, who was looking toward his direction with a proud expression.

Leon rolled his eyes, then grabbed the carcass with his claw and flew toward Ash’s direction.

The moment Leon landed in front of them, Ash waved his hand and put the carcass in his inventory.

"Let’s find you another one, but you better do it better or I won’t upgrade your rank." Ash chuckled as he jumped on Leon’s back.

The others also started to jump on Leon’s back one by one. They then departed toward the southeast since Ash had a place in mind.

After flying for another 5 minutes, they finally saw the sight of a vast lake in the distance.

Old Ni tapped Leon’s back, signaling Leon to slow down as he looked toward the east direction. "There’s a unique presence of a 4th Rank Beast."

Ash raised an eyebrow when he heard it, clearly feeling curious about the meaning of the unique presence Old Ni had mentioned.

"Go there." Ash pointed toward the east.

...

A massive tree stood near the water’s edge, its trunk thick enough that five grown men linking arms wouldn’t be able to encircle it. Beneath its shade lay a hulking figure—a huge four-meter-tall bear.

The bear’s fur was dark brown, but unlike ordinary bears, glowing blue vein-like patterns ran across its entire body—from its shoulders down to its forearms, across its chest and back, even circling its neck like ancient tribal tattoos.

Beside it lay a pile of enormous fish bones. Each rib was as long as a spear. The skull fragments alone could serve as shields.

The lake behind it shimmered gently. Fifty meters away, Leon descended from the sky.

Ash and the others immediately hopped off his back and retreated another dozen meters, forming a wide semi-circle at a safe distance.

The bear’s eyes slowly opened, its deep blue pupils coldly looking at the fire dragon in front of itself.

It did not move immediately as it stared at Leon and squinted its eyes.

Ash narrowed his eyes as he checked the bear’s information.

[Race: Water Rune Bear]

[Rank: 4th Rank Beast]

[Attribute: 4th Rank Water Element]

[Skills: Water Claw Manifestation, Abyssal Water Armor, Water Spike Barrage, Tidal Suppression]

[Stats x16]: Strength: 220 / Agility: 214 / Health: 214 / Endurance: 212 / Sense: 228 / Mana: 203 / Magic: 201

Ash’s brow lifted slightly, as water naturally restrained fire.

He glanced at Old Ni and gave him a look.

Old Ni met his gaze calmly and gave a small nod as he understood Ash’s attention.

Leon’s crimson eyes locked onto the bear. He could feel it, the feeling of a natural suppression of elements coming from the bear’s body.

Without hesitation, crimson flames ignited along his claws as he used his (Crimson Fire Claw) skill.

Mana surged violently as scarlet flames coiled around his talons, extending outward into curved blades of burning energy.

Leon roared and charged, the ground cracked beneath his claws as he lunged forward at fast speed.

The bear’s eyes flashed. Blue mana erupted from its body as it used its (Water Claw Manifestation) skill.

Water condensed around its forelimbs, transforming into extended translucent claws that were vibrating with concentrated water magic.

BOOM!

They collided as claws met claws.

A faint burst of steam exploded outward the moment the fire met with the water.

Shhhh!

Both beasts were forced back three steps.

Leon’s eyes sharpened. ’Again!’

He lunged forward, swiping diagonally.

The bear twisted its body with surprising agility for its size, countering with a sweeping horizontal strike.

CLANG!

Leon’s claws left a shallow burn mark across the bear’s forearm. The bear’s water claws scraped across Leon’s scales, leaving visible white scratches.

The bear roared and charged. Despite its massive size, its speed was explosive. Its paw smashed down like a collapsing boulder.

Leon barely shifted sideways, but the shockwave still slammed into his chest, pushing him back.

The bear followed with a heavy backhand swipe, but Leon blocked with crossed claws.

BOOM!

The impact rattled his bones. Leon’s first real disadvantage appeared as his movements were slightly unrefined.

His power control wasn’t fully stable yet.

The bear then suddenly stomped the ground and used another skill (Tidal Suppression).

Blue light spread outward from its body, and moisture in the air thickened. The ground became damp and slippery.

Leon felt it instantly as his flames flickered slightly.

The bear lunged again, and Leon’s reaction was half a beat slow, making the bear’s claw slam into his shoulder.

CRACK!

Leon was pushed back several meters. Three deep claw scratches tore across his scales, blood seeping out faintly.

Ash watched without expression as he thought that was what Leon needed.

Leon growled softly, his eyes turned colder. He adjusted his breathing and began circulating his mana more precisely instead of explosively.

Instead of overpowering with brute flame, he condensed it tighter around his claws.

Then he dashed again, but this time, his movements were sharper.

The bear swung, but Leon suddenly dipped low and slashed upward.

Crimson claws carved across the bear’s abdomen. This time, the burn penetrated slightly deeper.

The bear grunted and retaliated with a body slam. Leon immediately twisted mid-air, narrowly avoiding being crushed.

They exchanged blows again and again. Steam continuously filled the battlefield.

After dozens of exchanges, Leon managed to leave multiple burn wounds across the bear’s torso. But his own scales were scratched and dented in several places.

The bear suddenly retreated two steps before its entire body glowed blue as it used its (Abyssal Water Armor) skill.

Water surged from the lake, and streams of water coiled around its body like living serpents.

In seconds, a thick layer of solidified water armor enveloped the bear completely. It looked like a blue crystal giant.

Leon attacked immediately as he swung his claw again.

CLANG!

His claws struck the armor, but only shallow marks appeared this time as the armor was extremely dense.

Leon attacked repeatedly.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Each strike produced small shockwaves, but the armor barely cracked.

The bear countered with heavy strikes, and Leon was forced on the defensive for several seconds.

His flames struggled to penetrate the water armor this time.

But Leon didn’t care as he inhaled deeply, gathering mana violently in his chest as he used his (Crimson Fire Breath) skill.

At close range, Leon unleashed a torrent of crimson flames. The fire roared out like a dragon-shaped inferno, sweeping directly into the bear’s armored body.

The bear instantly raised both arms to guard.

The flames collided with the water armor, and steam exploded everywhere because of it.

The armor began melting slowly. Water evaporated at a terrifying speed.

The bear roared in anger as it could not dodge at such close range. It endured the flames while channeling mana.

Fortunately for the bear, the armor absorbed most of the damage.

When the breath ended, the armor was partially melted, and the fur beneath its arms was lightly scorched.

The bear’s eyes turned bloodshot.

It lifted both arms high and gathered mana above its head as it used (Water Spike Barrage) skill.

Dozens of sharp water spikes formed overhead, each one as thick as a spear. They then shot toward Leon like a rain of death.

Leon knew he couldn’t outpace all of them, so he made a quick decision as he raised his claws and protected his head and neck.

The first few spikes shattered against his claws.

The others slammed into his body, and several spikes pierced through his outer scales.

However, there were only shallow wounds because his dragon scales blocked the majority of the damage.

Blood spilled out of his body, but it was not serious. Still, he stared at the bear coldly.

Noticing that the bear was breathing heavily, Leon immediately used his (Crimson Fire Ball) skill and shot it toward the bear.

The bear roared and used half of its remaining mana to create one massive water spike as a shield.

BOOM!!!

The fireball and water spike collided midair, and a violent steam explosion engulfed the entire battlefield.

Through the steam, Leon suddenly moved. He charged straight into the white mist.

Then, he inhaled deeply again as mana surged since he used his (Crimson Fire Breath) skill.

The bear’s senses were momentarily disrupted by the steam, making it react half a second late.

Leon emerged from the mist suddenly, and at close range, the flames engulfed the bear entirely.

This time, the bear attempted to form another armor, but its mana was nearly exhausted.

The thin layer of water barely formed before melting instantly as the flames burned through its chest, abdomen, and shoulders.

The bear roared in agony and attempted to swing blindly.

Then Leon moved closer, and with one final, decisive motion, he swung downward.

Crimson claws tore through burnt flesh as the bear’s massive body split open from shoulder to waist.

The massive body then collapsed heavily onto the ground with a heavy thud.

[Ding! Leon has killed a 4th Rank Water Rune Bear]

[Ding! The progress at 4th Rank has increased to 100%]
