Chapter 61: Leon Becomes 3rd Rank Crimson Fire Dragon!
"Increase Harold’s stats to maximum!"
[Ding! 9,025 Tribal Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! You have increased Harold’s stats to maximum, adding 361 stats in total!]
Harold felt a sudden surge of energy rush into his body at once, settling into his body at an extremely fast speed.
"Upgrade Harold, Urik, and Hroth’s ranks!" Ash ordered the system in his heart.
[Ding! 25,000 Tribal Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host! Harold has successfully broken through to the 5th Rank Warrior.]
[Ding! 8,000 Tribal Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host! Harold has successfully broken through to the 4th Rank Warrior.]
[Ding! 8,000 Tribal Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host! Harold has successfully broken through to the 4th Rank Warrior.]
The three of them suddenly opened their eyes wide for a split second before closing them and focused on absorbing the enormous amount of energy flooded into their bodies at once.
A few moments later, they finally finished stabilizing themselves. The moment they opened their eyes, they instantly bowed toward Ash and expressed their gratitude.
As usual, Ash just waved his hand dismissively and said to not be that formal with him.
Subsequently, he ordered the system again since Harold was now at the 5th Rank. On top of that, he also upgraded the main hall twice, as it could be considered an important aspect for the tribe.
[Ding! 25,000 System Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! You have successfully upgraded Harold’s house to Tier 2.]
[Ding! 50,000 System Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! You have successfully upgraded the main hall to Tier 1.]
[Ding! 500,000 System Points have been successfully deducted.]
[Ding! You have successfully upgraded the main hall to Tier 2.]
The ground trembled once again, but this time everyone had expected it, as they guessed that Harold’s house was about to get upgraded.
However, they had never expected that there would be a movement from the main hall as it vibrated for a moment before lifting into the air.
Gasps erupted across the stronghold as the 15-meter-wide, 20-meter-long hall lifted ten meters into the air, clay dust raining down from its underside.
At the same moment, Harold’s house also started its transformation as it expanded in the distance, but the tribe’s eyes were no longer on it because all attention was drawn upward.
The main hall started to expand, the walls stretched outward first.
Fifteen meters widened to twenty, then twenty-five and still going until it reached thirty meters.
The length followed as it expanded from twenty meters to thirty, forty, and finally stopped at fifty meters.
The hall doubled and then some, growing into a massive 30-meter-wide, 50-meter-long structure as it suspended in the air imposingly.
The shadow it cast swallowed the ground beneath.
Then, the foundation began to form as the bottom of the hall darkened and split apart.
Stone surged outward from beneath the structure, assembling itself layer by layer. Thick, stacked stone blocks interlocked with grinding precision, forming a solid base two meters high.
The foundation widened slightly beyond the wooden walls, creating a clear stone platform that elevated the entire hall above the settlement.
At the front, the earth itself pushed upward as short, broad stone steps formed, leading to where the main entrance would descend.
Above the rising stone base, the wooden body of the hall began its transformation.
The clay walls did not simply thicken as they were restructured completely.
Massive vertical timber pillars emerged inside the walls, anchoring directly into the new stone foundation, locking the structure into place.
Then horizontal crossbeams shot outward, connecting pillar to pillar.
CLACK!
CLACK!
CLACK!
Each beam snapped into position as the entire skeleton of the hall revealed itself.
It was no longer a clay building reinforced by wood as it became a timber-framed hall filled with clay.
The ceiling rose higher as the internal frame adjusted, creating a vast open interior space supported by exposed beams that stretched from one end to the other.
Then the roof trembled, the thick thatch covering compressed inward before peeling away in waves.
In its place, wooden rafters extended upward, sharpening the roof’s pitch dramatically. A steep wooden shingle roof formed row by row, each shingle overlapping perfectly.
The surface darkened into treated timber, sealed tight against rain and wind. At the very top, the ridge beam thickened until it looked capable of bearing enormous weight. And at both ends, carved wooden ridge caps formed.
Inside, the transformation continued as the simple oval table shattered apart midair. It did not break into debris, instead it deconstructed.
New timber surged across the hall floor. Long rectangular tables were formed and reinforced by internal cross-bracing beneath their surfaces.
The main long table expanded, the wood was dense and tightly compressed. Even a Third Rank Warrior would struggle to damage it.
The chairs thickened to match it, and at the far end of the table, where Ash once sat on a slightly larger wooden chair, the platform beneath him rose.
Half a meter higher than the rest of the floor. Then, a high seat formed.
It was not an extravagant throne, but it was unmistakably superior, as the backrest was tall with broad arm supports and carved detailing along its edges.
The entrance shifted next as the wooden doors thickened dramatically. Additional layers of reinforced timber sealed across their surface.
The lower portion fused with stone plating integrated into the frame. The doorway frame itself expanded, locking directly into the stone base and timber skeleton.
Finally, the entire 30 by 50 meter structure began to descend, and the two-meter stone foundation aligned perfectly with the ground.
BOOM!
The impact shook the settlement as dust burst outward.
The main hall towered over every other building within the stronghold. Even the twelve stone-footed houses now seemed modest by comparison.
One warrior whispered. "It feels... different."
Another swallowed. "It feels like we’re in someone else’s territory."
Ash stood before the new main hall with a satisfied smile.
Clap!
Ash clapped his hand, drawing everyone’s attention. "Okay, that’s all for today."
He dismissed everyone except Mira and the 5th Ranks. After everyone was gone, Ash looked at Uncle Zan. "Please arrange some hunting teams and assign at least one trustworthy person to each team. Don’t forget to remind them in case something happens, immediately contact me."
The reason why he ordered that was because now that they had a lot of people within the stronghold, he needed to prepare in advance as he knew that the food reserve they currently had probably wouldn’t last until tomorrow.
Subsequently, he looked at the little guy in Mira’s arms and shook his head helplessly as he thought that this guy had been too comfortable with her.
"Come here!" Ash gestured to the little dragon to come over.
Leon finally opened his eyes as he had been enjoying himself sleeping peacefully in Mira’s embrace. He then tilted his head and yawned, stretching his small body cutely before jumping into the ground and coming to Ash.
"Have you been enjoying yourself now?" Ash smiled faintly.
Leon raised his head and nodded before jumping into Ash’s arms and nudging his head on Ash’s chest.
"Good!" Ash nodded before smiling viciously as he petted the little guy’s small head. "Now it’s time for you to work your ass off and become stronger."
Leon suddenly shuddered at Ash’s words, looking at Ash in fear.
"Don’t worry, you’re just going to have a fight... That’s all." Ash chuckled, his smile turned into a mocking one. "Why? Are you afraid?"
Leon’s expression twitched, then roared cutely as his pride was hurt when Ash thought that he would be afraid to fight.
"I know that you’re not a coward. I was just teasing you, okay? Ash smiled warmly, petting Leon’s head affectionately.
Leon snorted cutely, tilting his head to the side in contempt.
Ash shook his head helplessly and looked at Old Ni and Garnak. "You two come with me. We will go out and find this guy a suitable opponent now."
"Tribe Lord, lemme—"
Before Vakra could finish his sentence, Ash cut him off with a wave of his hand. "No, you stay in the stronghold for now."
"But—"
Ash looked Vakra coldly in the eyes and said. "Do I need to repeat myself?"
"No." Vakra shook his head, then scratched his head with an awkward smile.
"Remember to stay alert and contact me immediately in case something happens." Ash’s gaze swept among the 5th Ranks.
"Understood." The 5th Ranks replied in unison.
Subsequently, five people and a little dragon left the stronghold and headed east.
Yes, 5 people!
Because when they were about to leave the gate, Aunt Nira apparently was waiting for them at the gate, as she wanted to join and told Ash that she needed his help.
Naturally, Ash agreed to her because, as a gentleman, it was only right for him to help someone in need.
After they entered a little bit deeper into the jungle, Old Ni raised his hand and said. "There’s a peak 3rd rank beast ahead of us."
The group stopped and looked at Ash because he was the only one that said once they came across a 3rd rank beast, they would stop for a moment, as he needed to do something first.
He then put down the little guy in his arms to the ground with a smile. "Prepare yourself."
"Step back." Ash said as he glanced at the others.
Ash then immediately ordered the system. "Upgrade Leon’s rank to the highest rank possible right now."
