Chapter 427 - 225 Landing on the Island_3
Chapter 427 - 225 Landing on the Island_3
After this brief interlude, the group continued their simple reconnaissance on the beach.
What naturally caught their attention most was the wreckage of two ships.
However, it was clear the ships had been wrecked a long time ago, as no useful information could be gleaned from them.
"Alright, stay vigilant. We’re heading further inland."
With that, everyone began moving towards the island’s interior. Sparse plants were scattered around, and trees only became visible at the edge of their vision.
As they ventured deeper into the island, the group instinctively closed ranks.
Julia was sensing the surrounding environment.
She said to everyone, "Be careful. The concentration of Magic Power here is quite high, and space itself is also somewhat chaotic."
Upon hearing this, they nodded.
Leading the group, Chadite continued to extend her silver waves, scanning the surroundings.
Her silver waves were now difficult to detect, and with the help of the Ring of Light, her scanning range extended even further.
However, the island was quite large, so mapping the entire thing in one go would not be easy.
"Careful! There’s something large ahead," Chadite suddenly warned, crouching slightly behind a nearby boulder.
The others quickly turned and hid as well.
From the small grove ahead, the sound of heavy footsteps drifted over.
The slight vibrations they felt indicated that the creature was quite large.
Soon, a creature emerged from the woods.
It was a gigantic beast, standing three meters tall and over six meters long.
Its appearance was very strange, resembling a huge wild boar. It was covered in sharp spikes, with massive tusks protruding from its head and a sharp horn on its forehead.
As it moved, its spikes scraped off branches and twigs from the surrounding trees.
Fortunately, Alka didn’t sense a particularly dangerous aura from the creature, though it was undeniably powerful.
Julia stated, "Its strength is roughly between 4 and 5 Spiral. Be careful; it seems rather agitated."
No sooner had she spoken than the beast detected their presence. It turned its head slightly, its scarlet eyes fixing on their location.
The creature panted, its nostrils puffing out white steam like two chimneys.
Then it suddenly broke into a run, charging directly towards the boulder where they were hiding.
"We’ve been discovered!"
Reacting instantly, everyone leaped to the sides. The beast’s speed was incredible, its tusks and the horn on its head emitting a black sheen.
Fortunately, they had already dodged to either side. The beast’s charge was incredibly fast, but it clearly couldn’t turn in time, so it smashed straight into the boulder they had been hiding behind, shattering it to pieces.
It skidded to a halt, leaving a thick cloud of dust hanging in the air.
Glaring at the people on either side, it fiercely arched its back.
Seeing the spikes on its back begin to tremble, Alka immediately shouted, "Careful! It’s going to launch those spikes!"
No sooner had he spoken than several spikes shot towards them on either side.
On one side, Pororo swiftly charged forward and jumped.
Catching one of the flying spikes in each hand, his hands now wrapped in blue Thunder.
After catching them, he landed, then turned decisively and forcefully threw the spikes he held.
As they were thrown, lightning also wrapped around the spikes.
Meanwhile, Chadite, who was with Alka and the others, activated her Sun Shield; the pattern on her arms lit up, flashing with solar light. She moved as fast as a beam of light. Leaping up, she executed a whip kick to send one incoming spike flying, then spun in mid-air and kicked away the second one that followed. The movements were incredibly fast, accompanied by brilliant flashes of light that momentarily blinded the others, preventing them from seeing exactly how she moved.
Pororo was already charging towards the enemy. The spikes he threw shot out even faster, crackling with scorching lightning as they plunged deep into the creature’s body. The attached lightning paralyzed the beast. Pororo then leaped up and slammed down heavily onto the creature’s head. Pororo, after all, was quite large. His body, wreathed in blue lightning, smashed down, instantly breaking off both the creature’s tusks. The impact slammed the creature to the ground, and it howled in agony. Pororo immediately rolled off its head, then grabbed the protruding horn on its forehead and, with immense strength that showed no apparent difficulty, violently lifted the beast’s massive body.
Then, he slammed it hard onto the ground.
A violent crash echoed, sending dust billowing everywhere.
The creature’s screams intensified, but this also indicated it wasn’t dead yet.
Pororo released his grip on its horn and grabbed its two small ears. Holding the creature’s head, lightning danced wildly over his hands.
A burnt smell wafted into the air.
The boar-like creature convulsed continuously, its pained cries turning into choked, convulsive sounds.
The sounds grew weaker and weaker, until finally, the creature fell still and silent.
Seeing that the creature hadn’t lasted even a few rounds against Pororo, Alka walked over to him.
He sized up Pororo.
"When did you advance to the Second Stage?"
Since Pororo passed the trial, his aura had been unstable, leaving everyone unaware that he had advanced to the Second Stage.
"Haha, just last night."
The concentration of Magic Power in the Endless Sea was exceedingly high. Consequently, the Magic Power Pororo needed to advance from the First Stage to the Second Stage was negligible in this environment.
This fluctuation in Magic Power had been so subtle that not even their companions back on the ship had perceived it.
