Chapter 414 - 221: Chaotic World_2
Chapter 414 - 221: Chaotic World_2
The blinding light forced Alka to raise a hand to shield his eyes from the dazzling glow.
As the ship sailed into the light, the surrounding darkness instantly faded away, as if they had arrived in another world.
The sound of the waves returned to their ears, and the salty ocean breeze gently blew across, filling their nostrils.
They were once again on the true Ocean.
"Hmm!" came a groan from beside them.
Alka turned his head and saw Chadite slowly opening his eyes, awakening by his side.
The rest of the group woke up simultaneously.
It seemed that the dark world had trapped them in a Deep Sleep.
Once they left, they all immediately awoke.
Yet, he wasn’t sure why he had awoken midway.
If there was a difference between him and them, perhaps it was due to his stronger soul.
"Where is this place? Have we arrived?" Chadite, sitting on the deck, asked, looking at Alka who seemed to have awoken already.
At this moment, the Sound of Dawn was finally sailing smoothly, and the surrounding seawater was no longer progressing eternally.
Without the resistance of the water, the long-lost automatic sails began to adjust themselves with the wind direction.
They could finally sail freely on the Ocean.
Alka looked at the vast expanse of ocean surrounding them.
"We have arrived."
Hearing this, the awakened group immediately looked around.
The blazing sun, blue sky, white clouds, and the endless ocean.
This place seemed no different from the Homeland Sea.
"The Magic Power concentration here..." Julia said, gently waving her hand.
A large mass of ice-cold mist shot out, freezing the seawater below into ice.
The Magic Power concentration here was even higher than that of the forward route.
The speed of enhancing one’s strength through Meditation in this place would increase once again.
"So this is the Endless Sea? It doesn’t seem that special," Jason said, leaning against the ship’s side, looking at the flowing ocean currents below.
"Yeah, pretty ordinary," Alka couldn’t help but say.
The only special aspect might be the significantly higher Magic Power concentration.
"It’s nothing like I imagined. I thought we’d see something beyond imagination upon arrival," Jason said, unable to hold back.
After all, whether it was the writings in the Land of Dreams, the information they had gathered, or the constant warnings they had just heard, everything indicated that this place was filled with bizarre landscapes that would likely challenge their existing worldview.
Yet when they truly arrived, it wasn’t what they had expected.
Chadite looked at the world map in his hand, now useless.
The world map specifically depicted the Four Divine Seas connected together, and the forward route on the periphery, along with a descending current below. Besides that, there was nothing else on it.
This meant the map contained no information whatsoever about the Endless Sea.
"So, where do we go now?" he turned his head to look at Alka and asked.
Hearing the question, Alka helplessly shrugged and replied, "What else can we do? Of course, just go straight."
Then he spoke to the group with a slightly serious expression, "Everyone, stay vigilant. The Endless Sea isn’t necessarily peaceful."
As he spoke, Alka looked out at the vast, empty expanse of ocean, feeling a bit strange.
In his mind, once they truly arrived at the Endless Sea, they should have been greeted by enemies, not by this emptiness. Teams that followed the forward route to the Endless Sea and reached this final destination would definitely have Treasure on their ships; this was basically certain. If a team had no Treasure and still managed to brave the entire journey to the Endless Sea, he would genuinely be impressed. Given this certainty, the entrance connecting to the Endless Sea should be guarded by enemies. That was a predictable scenario. Such greed was inevitable. If it were him, if he were a bandit or pirate, he would definitely do the same. However, reality was completely different from what he imagined. Surely the moral standards of those in the Endless Sea couldn’t all be that high; that was obviously unrealistic. Too many scoundrels traveled from the Four Seas to the Endless Sea.
"Are you wondering why we haven’t encountered enemies?" Chadite asked, standing beside Alka.
Alka nodded.
That was indeed what he was thinking.
"Is it possible that the entrance is actually random?" Chadite said, pointing in the direction they came from. "Behind us is also an endless ocean, but we know we only just arrived here a few minutes ago. We haven’t even traveled many meters forward. In other words, we appeared out of nowhere. In such situations, it’s very possible that ships heading to the Endless Sea randomly appear in various spots on the Ocean. Of course, this is just a simple guess."
Alka nodded. Viewed this way, it indeed seemed possible.
Alka shook his head, dismissing the thoughts. "Forget it. Let’s not dwell on this. Everyone, stay alert."
Since there were no enemies, it must be a good thing.
Following this, Julia, holding onto a rope, was about to head to the lookout tower to keep watch when the ocean ahead underwent a dramatic change, leaving everyone on the ship standing in astonishment.
"The...the seawater is floating?!" Jason questioned in surprise and bewilderment, his voice filled with disbelief.
He rubbed his eyes hard to ensure he wasn’t seeing things or hallucinating.
