Chapter 391 - 213 Construct Dual Arms_3
Upon hearing this, Simon, although already prepared, still showed a hint of melancholy and sadness. He took a few deep breaths and sighed.
"I... I had already considered that."
"Thank you again for saving me. I have nothing with which to repay you, but if there’s anything I can help with, please don’t hesitate to command me."
Alka waved his hand. "No need. I owe the Holy Machine Church a favor."
Hearing this, Simon seemed to want to make some kind of blessing gesture; however, when he raised his hands, he remembered he no longer had them. He smiled apologetically.
Seeing Simon’s current state, the Hand of Precision formed over Alka’s right arm. His palm then opened, and a finger-like construct flew out, swiftly heading towards Simon and disappearing into his body.
Simon watched, stunned, as the object entered his body.
"This... what is this thing?"
"This is your Treasure. It’s what maintained your state of Stagnation, allowing you to survive."
Simon’s eyes filled with confusion. "My... Treasure? I don’t possess such a precious item."
"Alright, calm yourself," Alka said, looking at Simon. "Carefully sense the message it wants to convey. This is your Divine’s gift to you."
Upon hearing this, Lucilia, on Alka’s shoulder, gave him a strange look. The others, not understanding their language, were already chatting amongst themselves off to the side.
"When did you realize that thing was a gift to him from a Divine?" Lucilia asked with unusual curiosity.
"I learned it yesterday when I touched the Treasure during his treatment."
At this, Alka couldn’t help but recall the events of the previous day. When he had tried to forcibly deactivate and control the Treasure, a message was transmitted into his mind from it. Alka was exceedingly familiar with this method of transmission, having experienced the same thing when he first acquired the Hand of Precision. This time, however, there was no Wise One to explain or communicate with him—just a very simple message, accompanied by some knowledge, like a reward.
From this information, Alka learned that the Treasure belonged to the Holy Machine Church and was exceedingly precious. When it lost control and became ownerless, it automatically adapted to Simon and came under his control, simply because Simon was a member of the Holy Machine Church. Alka didn’t know why it had chosen Simon specifically.
In essence, the message asked Alka to do it a favor by refraining from seizing the Treasure. It also straightforwardly told him how to control this Treasure. Already owing the Holy Machine Church a favor, Alka naturally accepted gladly. Besides, he had no intention of seizing it; he had made his decision the moment he first saw the Treasure. Moreover, granting a favor to a Divine, no matter how one looked at it, was an exceptionally worthwhile exchange. The Holy Machine Church was a behemoth, just like the Holy Mother Church.
Afterward, Alka even removed the Hand of Precision he was wearing, allowing it to re-seal itself and revert to its original form. He placed it on Simon’s blanket.
"This also belongs to your church. It’s now returned to its rightful owner."
Simon, having received some information from the Treasure, opened his eyes and nodded. "The Holy Machine Church will remember your assistance."
Alka nodded. Those words were enough.
Then, the finger-like Treasure flew out again. The bandages wrapped around Simon’s arms fell off automatically, revealing a sight that surprised everyone.
His left arm, severed clean at the shoulder, now featured a steel-constructed interface. Similarly, the stump of his right forearm also featured a steel interface, the original wound completely covered.
The Hand of Precision floated up automatically and connected directly to the interface on his forearm, beginning to change its shape to adapt. Soon, Simon could control it as naturally as if it were a real arm.
Simon raised his new arm, examined it, and nodded with satisfaction. He then picked up the finger-like Treasure. He clenched it in his new hand. Intricate patterns visibly formed on the Hand of Precision’s index finger, which then fractured. It transformed into a three-sectioned structure, its segments floating, the joints replaced by hovering spheres of Energy.
And from the shoulder stump of his completely severed left arm, precision constructs began to emerge. These constructs extended, assembling a new arm, its brass hue matching the Hand of Precision on his right.
