Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 389 - 213: Construct’s Dual Arms

Chapter 389 - 213: Construct’s Dual Arms

The Ring of Light’s other ability manifested as their current state: Dark Vision—true Dark Vision. Or, to put it another way, eternal light. It was a high-priority state, allowing clear vision even in the deepest darkness. This was a very high-tier ability, infinitely stronger than the Dark Vision they could currently achieve through Spells.

For instance, the Dark Vision they used via Spells in the lightless environment Chadite created only allowed them to see about a meter ahead. However, the Dark Vision granted by the Ring of Light was completely unaffected, as if it were daytime. The same held true for darkness created by other Spell effects or Treasure abilities. Its primary ability was to control and strengthen light.

"Can it enhance your original core Spell?" Alka asked.

If he remembered correctly, Chadite’s core Spell was a powerful one called [Silver Light]. This Spell had even changed the essence of Chadite’s Magic Power, causing it to appear silver whenever she used it. The Spell could be used in battle or for reconnaissance, offering very broad applications. And now that the Ring of Light was compatible with Chadite, it meant it could also be compatible with the Treasure that had once enlightened Chadite, allowing her to become a Toucher. Perhaps they could work together to produce an even more powerful effect.

Hearing Alka’s question, Chadite nodded. "No problem, it can work with [Silver Light]."

So it’s true, Alka mused. Just like my [Dream Catcher] and [Mirror Surface].

"But I can only use these relatively simple abilities for now," Chadite continued. "For the stronger ones, I’ll need to train properly and familiarize myself with them."

Hearing Chadite’s words, Alka nodded. That made sense.

After a short while, Chadite had roughly mastered this Treasure. The circlet on her head slowly merged into her forehead. The merging effect was identical to that of the [Mirror Surface]. It left some features on the surface, though not the triangular Gemstone Alka had imagined. Instead, it left two golden horizontal lines—the gold threads from the circlet. The two gold threads extended from her temples to the center of her brow, separated by a small gap in the middle. This feature wasn’t conspicuous; in fact, it was quite beautiful.

"How about a feast tonight to celebrate today’s gains?" Juanlu suggested with a smile.

"Of course, no problem at all."

"Great."

"Then I’ll go down and prepare," Juanlu said with a smile, heading out.

"It’s been a hard day for everyone. Let’s all go rest for a while," Alka said with a smile, noticing Chadite’s eager expression.

He divided the wealth from the table among everyone, then moved the remaining items below to be stored, placing them within the core Treasure Vault of the Sound of Dawn.

Then he returned to the captain’s cabin and rested in his seat. A faint melody reached Alka’s ears. It was an inquiry from the Sound of Dawn.

With his eyes closed, Alka said softly, "No rush. Let’s stay here for now and decide after that person wakes up." The earlier melody had been asking if they should depart.

After lying there for a while, Alka opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling.

Speaking of which, I touched two Treasures today, he thought. Both provided different sensations, and the repulsive feelings I experienced came from different Treasures already in my possession. In other words, once one controls a Treasure, acquiring a second isn’t too difficult as long as compatibility is found. But once two Treasures are mastered, acquiring a third becomes challenging. One could only master three Treasures simultaneously if the two already possessed didn’t repel the new one, and the new one, in turn, didn’t repel the existing two. Achieving such conditions is much harder than going from one Treasure to two. Under such circumstances, the difficulty of mastering more Treasures would increase exponentially.

Forget it. Why worry about these things now? I haven’t even fully utilized the abilities of the two Treasures I currently control.

With this thought, Alka leaned back in his chair and soon fell asleep.

When he woke again, night had fallen outside. The clear sound of a bell reached his ears. He rubbed his eyes and found a blanket draped over him. Placing the blanket on the chair, he walked out, making his way to the dining room.

There, the dining table was laden with delicacies, awaiting everyone’s arrival. It looked like they were in for a hearty feast tonight.

He and the others happily spent the evening at the banquet. Afterward, Alka returned to his room and fell into a deep sleep.

When he submerged himself in the Dream Realm once more and manifested externally, he found a new Dream Bubble not far from his own.

Needless to say, this bubble must belong to Simon.

The bubble’s surface was no longer as dim as before. Many of the cracks had disappeared, with only two remaining.

After all, damage to the soul isn’t easily recovered. Unless there are special means, time is the only healer.

Alka considered it for a moment but decided not to enter. Let him rest well, he thought. There’s plenty of time tomorrow.
