Ji Rui, always slow to sense romantic matters, showed interest upon hearing this from his wife, raising a brow lightly, and asked, "Why do you say that?"
"Little Treasure was forcing a smile all evening, didn’t you notice, as his father?"
President Ji shook his head forthrightly!
Le Tong rolled her eyes at him, "Idiot!"
President Ji had long gotten used to being looked down upon by his wife, and was not annoyed by such straightforward disdain. He wrapped his big arm around her waist, buried his face in her hair, and playfully nibbled on her earlobe.
"You’ve loved this idiot for so many years, haven’t you?"
Le Tong shivered slightly, took a deep breath to steady herself, then bopped his head playfully, "Yes, which makes me an idiot too! Are you satisfied, Ji Dazi!"
President Ji chuckled, lifting his head, "Even an idiot like me has you willing to love me for a lifetime, not to mention our son is so smart and outstanding? Don’t worry, even if it’s not Zhu Qianyu, Little Treasure will find another wonderful girl to love him, just like you love me!"
This "idiot" of a President Ji could be quite the sweet-talker, and his words of comfort indeed eased Le Tong’s heart.
Come to think of it, if Zhu Qianyu indeed had a boyfriend, it was better for Little Treasure to find out sooner rather than later and get too involved.
When everyone thought the young master would retreat for now, the next afternoon, the young master finished his work early as usual, exchanged a word with Ji Dabao, and drove off alone.
