Chapter 929 - 927: Finally Waiting for You, Part 2

Just as Nuonuo was holding the flowers and fretting silently, the door clicked open. Before Nuonuo could react, she was pulled inside by the arm.The door closed with a ’bang’ again before Nuonuo had a chance to speak, facing Da Bao’s stern gaze.

"Have you lost your mind? You’re soaked and still standing outside for so long?"

Da Bao scolded her angrily, bending down to pick up Nuonuo and striding toward the bathroom.

Nuonuo was still holding the flowers in one hand, and as she was lifted completely, her other hand hurriedly wrapped around his neck. "I didn’t want to stay outside for so long; you wouldn’t let me in..." Nuonuo protested, feeling aggrieved.

"It’s so late, with you covering your head with flowers, I might have mistaken you for a flower fairy. Should I leave you outside or invite you in?"

Da Bao was overjoyed when he heard her voice at the door.

But when he reached out his hand, he felt her wet clothes and her cold skin, and an inexplicable anger rose within him.

This girl, even if she wants to play surprises and romance, should take care of herself first!

Worried to the extreme, Da Bao pulled her inside, naturally giving her no pleasant face.

"Brother, when did you become so unromantic?" Nuonuo pouted, grumbling dissatisfiedly, and pinched the back of his neck.

Da Bao shivered, nearly dropping the little girl. "Ah! Brother, hold me tight!" Nuonuo yelped loudly in fear after being jolted.

Da Bao’s expression seemed to soften a bit, he smirked at her, "Look at you, such a coward!"

Then, he deliberately tossed her lightly, making her screech in fright.

"If you don’t want to die, stop pinching me, got it?"

Da Bao placed her on the bathroom rug and threw out a cryptic remark as he turned to leave.

The silly girl, holding that large bouquet of orange-red roses, tilted her head in thought but couldn’t figure out what he meant.

Returning, Da Bao brought her clean clothes and put them on the rack by the tub. "Stop daydreaming here, quickly have a hot bath."

After setting her clothes, Da Bao bent over to adjust the water temperature and start filling the tub.

When Da Bao stood up, he saw her standing there like a fool, reached out to touch her forehead, kissed her cool lips, and patted her face.

"Be good, go take a bath." His tone was evidently much gentler than before.

Nuonuo responded with a soft ’mm’, Da Bao glanced at the enchanting roses in her arms, and jealously hummed, "Your fan sent them?"

Only then did Nuonuo realize she was still holding a bouquet, and she handed it to Da Bao, "Brother, it’s for you!"

Da Bao was taken aback!

Accepting the flowers with a mix of skepticism and disbelief, "For me? Who sent them?"

Da Bao thought, perhaps someone sent them to her, and she’s afraid I’ll be jealous, so she’s passing them on to me?

This lack of tact wouldn’t be normal, but following this girl’s thought process, really, it’s hard to say.

Nuonuo was displeased, glaring at him, she lightly kicked him with her foot. "Of course, I gave them; who else would send them?"

Da Bao seriously stared into Nuonuo’s eyes; the little girl was glaring at him full of resentment and anger.

"Alright, I misspoke!"

Da Bao leaned in to give her a loud kiss, "Thank you! I like them a lot!"

Nuonuo’s face reddened slightly, shyly nodding, avoiding direct eye contact with him.

Da Bao didn’t insist, released her, urging her to take a bath while he went out holding the flowers.

Placing the flowers on the coffee table, Da Bao booted up his computer for a search, and a line popped up on the screen.

"The meaning of orange-red roses: feelings of first love, friendship, youthful beauty, shyness, offering you a mysterious love."

Da Bao’s eyes were filled with deep laughter, staring at the words on the screen, unable to look away.

Did she mean to imply something by giving the flowers?

Or was it a casual gesture, and he is just overthinking it?

Da Bao’s imagination ran wild like an unbridled horse, galloping endlessly, making him overheated, his body growing hot.

Da Bao, feeling like he’s on fire, started pacing anxiously in the living room, completely forgetting that his own clothes got wet when he brought Nuonuo in.

Da Bao shares a bit of his father’s germophobia, so normally, he wouldn’t tolerate this, he’d quickly shower again, at the very least, change out of the sticky wet clothes.

Yet at this moment, he was utterly indifferent, only pacing around the living room, consumed by the imagined implications behind the flowers.

Having finished her bath, Nuonuo opened the door, seeing Da Bao pacing like a caged beast, noticing his wet clothes sticking to him, she furrowed her brows.

"Brother, are you going to shower again?"

Da Bao was lost in his reverie of Nuonuo, suddenly snapping his head to look at her upon hearing her voice.

"Huh?"

This time, he overthought again. "Do you want another shower?"

Nuonuo signaled she is still an innocent child!

Her clear eyes looking at him, not understanding his suggestion, she shook her head, "No, I just finished! I’m asking if you want another shower; your clothes are all wet!"

When Da Bao carried her in, he had the fresh scent of just having showered. Knowing him as she did, this wet sticky state wouldn’t sit well with him, he’d surely shower again.

Da Bao stood before her, gently stroking her soft chin with his fingers, lightly grazing her lip, and softly asked, "Then, will you shower with me?"

Nuonuo shivered slightly, instinctively stepping back two paces.

Da Bao’s hand extended, pulling her close, encircling her waist into his arms.

Nuonuo was unprepared for his sudden strength, crashing firmly into his muscular chest.

"Hmm..." A muffled sound escaped her lips.

Upon hearing her muffled sound, Da Bao’s dark eyes narrowed, his gaze deep and mysterious, with a firm grip on her waist, tightening further.

Nuonuo’s chest was tightly pressed against Da Bao’s solid abs, she wanted to say, Brother, let go a little, I’m having trouble breathing.

Just as she started with "Brother...", Da Bao’s handsome face unexpectedly came up close.

They were so close, their breaths intermingling warmly on each other’s faces.

"Girl, do you know the meaning behind that bouquet?" Da Bao’s voice seemed lower than usual, and filled with allure.
