Treasure Hunt: Tycoon's Priceless Runaway Wife

Chapter 444: This Eat Is Not That Eat

Chapter 444: This Eat Is Not That Eat

After coming home, Baobao was taken for a bath by Aunt Guan. Exhausted from accompanying the little one to explore every floor of the furniture store, Le Tong sat on the sofa, massaging her calves."Do you want me to give you a massage?"

Ji Rui moved closer to her, seemingly intending to genuinely offer help.

Le Tong glanced at him sideways, "That’s not necessary. I’m hungry. Can you make me a bowl of noodles?"

Ji Rui thought he must have misheard, "Did I hear that right? You want me to cook noodles?" No one knows better than Le Tong that he’s a kitchen disaster who confuses salt with sugar.

But looking at Le Tong closely, she seemed earnest, not joking.

"For sure!" Le Tong nodded firmly.

Ji Rui wasn’t trying to shirk responsibility, but he wasn’t sure if the noodles he’d cook would be edible.

"Aren’t you afraid it might make you sick?" Even if she dared to eat it, he wouldn’t dare let her try.

Le Tong shook her head, "Not afraid!"

Her twinkling eyes were filled with bright laughter, "Walking all night, I’m really hungry..."

With that, she softly leaned toward Ji Rui, her voice turning tender and sweet like Baobao’s, making even Ji Rui’s bones soften.

At this moment, Ji Rui wished he could transform into a super chef, rushing into the kitchen to quickly cook Le Tong a steaming, fragrant bowl of noodles.

"But..."

However, the reality is often less perfect; the current situation was such that not only couldn’t he cook noodles, he couldn’t even prepare instant noodles—President Ji couldn’t even do that, let alone cook noodles!

"But what? I’m really hungry!" Le Tong snuggled against him, her feeble voice making Ji Rui’s heart melt.

Ji Rui lowered his head to kiss her forehead, steeling himself with the determination to face the inevitable, and pushed her shoulders gently to set her aside, "Alright, I’ll give it a try!"

"Okay!" Le Tong bit her lip and nodded.

Ji Rui stood up, walked a few steps, and suddenly a burst of clear laughter erupted behind him, "Hahaha, Ji Rui, you’re too funny..."

Ji Rui swiftly turned around to see Le Tong clinging to the sofa, laughing heartily, and came to a realization.

"You were teasing me?"

Before the words were out, he had rushed back to the sofa and gave her a playful smack on her bottom.

Le Tong dodged with laughter, "Haha, weren’t you asking me to rely on you a bit? ... I’m hungry, aren’t you going to feed me?"

Ji Rui really was amused and annoyed, "So, in your eyes, all I, Ji Rui, can do is feed you?"

Saying this, he increased the strength of his playful swats on her bottom.

Le Tong rolled her eyes at him, "Mr. Ji, eating is important, you know?"

Ji Rui was teased enough to be frustrated. Smacking her bottom seemed less gratifying, so he scooped her up into his arms, not bothering to argue further, but biting into her lips fiercely.

"Yes, eating is important indeed!"

Le Tong struggled in his embrace, trying to escape his clutches, "Ji Rui, eating in this context isn’t what you think!"

Ji Rui pressed his forehead against hers, forcing her to look at him.

"Not the same? This eating is more important!" Saying that, he leaned in and bit her lips again, this time with more intensity, causing Le Tong some pain.

"Eating for sustenance is one thing; this eating is connected to the great human cause of reproduction, which do you say is more important?" His voice had deepened, becoming much huskier.

Seeing the fire in his eyes start to ignite, Le Tong shivered, instinctively realizing danger was near, urging her to escape!

"Uh, Ji Rui, listen to me..."

Unfortunately, her realization came a bit too late; her words weren’t fully spoken before Ji Rui silenced her with another kiss and lifted her up, rapidly heading towards his bedroom door.

"Hmm..."

With her mouth blocked, Le Tong struggled to speak, but Ji Rui seized the opportunity to deepen the kiss, penetrating further.

Soon, the bedroom door was opened, and then slammed shut with a heavy kick from Ji Rui.

At this moment, all of Le Tong’s distress vanished; the question of her father’s identity and whereabouts, which had troubled her all day, was inadvertently pushed aside by Ji Rui’s strong yet tender kiss.

Unknowingly, Ji Rui had placed Le Tong on his large bed, pressing her down, one hand holding her head, the other supporting her waist, the kiss that was like a storm now slowly becoming lingering.

By this time, Le Tong had completely lost the will to resist, her body felt weak as she clung to his back, limp on the bed allowing him to do as he pleased.

Inwardly she felt uneasy, but there was no strength to struggle or any escape available.

Just when Le Tong thought she might succumb tonight, Ji Rui suddenly released her lips, and instead gently kissed from her face to her eyelids, forehead, and nose tip.

Le Tong listened as Ji Rui’s breaths slowly calmed down from being rapid, until finally, he lay quietly beside her, holding her in his arms.

Le Tong’s breathing also gradually steadied, but his grip around her was a bit tight, making her feel suffocated.

"Hey, let go of me..." Le Tong tried to push him away, attempting to escape his embrace.

Yet Ji Rui seemed not to hear, even tightening his grip further, burying his head in her shoulder, murmuring, "Le Tong, let me hold you for a while."

The warmth of his breath sprayed at the roots of Le Tong’s hair behind her ear, making her stiffen in his arms, not daring to move.

Because, apart from his voice growing more hoarse, she could distinctly feel a change in his body.

This change made Le Tong anxious and confused, pressing her hand against his chest, she pushed firmly. "Ji Rui, let go of me."

Though she agreed to date him, she wasn’t mentally prepared for things to be this intimate. It’s not that she’s conservative, but she feels such things should happen naturally over time.

Now, it feels too soon.

Her rational mind knew it was too early, yet earlier, her oxygen-deprived brain was too muddled even to realize she had lost the instinct to resist. Now, clearer-headed, she suddenly realized she was in the jaws of the wolf; if she didn’t run, she’d be devoured!

Ji Rui, however, did not release her, holding her face gently, kissing her on the nose tip, with emerald green eyes gazing deep into hers.

Her panic and evasiveness were all captured by his eyes. "Le Tong, are you afraid of me?"

Le Tong’s mind was hazy, with some painful memories but couldn’t recall specific images, so she stared at him blankly, unsure.
