Chapter 1017 - 1015: Interview Passed

Chapter 1017 - 1015: Interview Passed

The car stopped in front of the row of resort-style bungalows belonging to Xinying. Zhu Qianyu pushed open the car door, stood there dumbfounded, and gaped at the idyllic scenery before her."Beautiful, isn’t it?"

Tian Fang walked over with a smile, appearing quite familiar with her reaction.

It’s because many of Xinying’s contracted artists had similar reactions the first time they came to the company, even Si Han had similar feelings.

"Yeah, it’s really beautiful!"

Zhu Qianyu smiled at Tian Fang, feeling a bit embarrassed for her naive reaction as if she’d never seen the world.

"Our boss is a very visionary person. This whole area for tens of miles around was bought by him long ago. There, where the construction is happening, is the company’s recording studio."

Surprising light flickered in Zhu Qianyu’s eyes. She knew Xinying was rapidly expanding, but she had no idea they even had their own recording studio.

However, her surprise didn’t last long; after all, she was here for an internship interview, not for gossip.

"Sister Fang, Mr. Si, the boss’s assistant, contacted me yesterday. Should I report to him now?"

Zhu Qianyu, who was quick to respond, somewhat surprised Tian Fang.

She didn’t know Zhu Qianyu’s background, but from this brief interaction, she was almost sure this girl wasn’t from an ordinary family.

In this regard, Tian Fang’s eyes were much sharper than Young Master Ji Huan.

It’s no wonder as Tian Fang had been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, having seen countless popular and unpopular artists.

"Oh, Mr. Si handed this matter over to me. From now on, I will be responsible for your work schedule."

As she spoke, Tian Fang led her into the bungalow closest to the car.

Outside, it looked like a pretty house from a holiday resort, but inside, it was entirely arranged for work.

It wasn’t until Zhu Qianyu sat on the couch in the reception area that she realized, apparently, Sister Fang was the interviewer?

Reaching this conclusion made her so nervous her forehead was sweating.

Tian Fang brought her a cup of warm water, noticed her sweaty forehead, and glanced at the air conditioning temperature.

"Are you very hot?" Saying this, she picked up the remote and turned the temperature down by two degrees. "Young people indeed are in good shape and don’t like the heat. Every time Young Master Heng comes over, he also says it’s too hot!"

Zhu Qianyu used the moment when she was looking down to wipe her sweaty forehead with a tissue, not knowing how to explain this misunderstanding, eventually deciding to let it be a beautiful mistake.

"Have a drink and relax for a while; I have to take care of something else first."

Leaving the remote control, Tian Fang gave Zhu Qianyu a brief instruction and hurriedly walked into one of the rooms.

In the reception area, separated by shoulder-high screens, one of the screens displayed a roster of Xinying’s artists. At the top was the manager’s name, below which was a list of artists.

In this long list, she quickly found two familiar names: Director: Tian Fang, Under artists: Si Han.

So, this Sister Fang was the director! And her sole artist was the leading lady of Xinying, also Zhu Qianyu’s idol, Si Han.

Zhu Qianyu felt she must have been doing a lot of good deeds recently; otherwise, why would such a series of good things happen to this typically unlucky girl?

Ever since she received the interview notice call yesterday, one surprise followed another.

Zhu Qianyu took a few sips of water, took a deep breath, and silently encouraged herself: Zhu Qianyu, you must perform well later! Such a good internship place, you must try to stay here at all costs!

So, when Tian Fang, having finished her work, came out, she could see from afar that Zhu Qianyu was sitting upright, her hands resting on her knees, her eyes slightly closed, seemingly doing deep breathing exercises to relax?

From this angle, she indeed looked like an eighteen-year-old girl!

Tian Fang held back her laughter, deliberately closed the door heavily, and then walked over nonchalantly.

Upon hearing the door, Zhu Qianyu immediately opened her eyes and looked in the direction of the sound, seeing Tian Fang approaching, she quickly stood up. "Sister Fang."

Her demeanor was noticeably more restrained than it had been in the car earlier.

Tian Fang patted her shoulder, "Let’s go. I’ll take you on a tour of our company’s recording studio. There’s a web drama being filmed today; you can take a look, learn something."

Zhu Qianyu looked at her blankly. Seeing her motionless, Tian Fang asked, puzzled, "What’s wrong? Do you have something else today?"

Zhu Qianyu shook her head, thought for a moment, and then boldly asked, "I don’t have anything else, but... Sister Fang, isn’t there supposed to be an interview?"

Tian Fang laughed heartily, "Yes, there’s supposed to be an interview."

"Then..." Zhu Qianyu was even more confused, wondering if she was being messed with.

"There’s indeed an interview, but it was already conducted earlier in the car." Tian Fang kindly provided her with an answer.

Even if Ji Huan wasn’t the Crown Prince of Xinying, he could reasonably be regarded as the little uncle.

A little uncle’s favorite girl coming to be an intern and still needing an interview? Tian Fang didn’t have such nerve!

That young master’s temper is quite unpredictable, and offending him means no one would have good days to look forward to.

However, based on her intuition, Zhu Qianyu didn’t seem to like parachuting in.

In that case, she kindly smoothed things over for the young master.

But doing this favor surely wouldn’t go unrewarded; she’d turn around and claim some benefits from the young master!

Tian Fang secretly made a wishful plan in her heart, yet her face carried a friendly smile as she waited for Zhu Qianyu to ’get moving’.

The expression on Zhu Qianyu’s face was quite complex. Was everything before her a dream?

"You’re just here as an intern, not a full-time employee, and I’ve thoroughly reviewed your resume. You’re very outstanding. Our company has always been particularly lenient with outstanding people."

Indeed, for a university freshman, Zhu Qianyu’s resume was impressive.

In her first semester, she had written and directed a documentary short film that participated in an authoritative online competition, which eventually earned her a gold award. Moreover, throughout the year, she collected numerous awards in various school professional competitions, so even without Ji Huan’s connections, her resume alone wouldn’t have been turned away by Si Jun.

Of course, all these intricate reasons were unknown and irrelevant to Zhu Qianyu.

She merely felt a sense of belonging to Xinying in just a few seconds, feeling proud and pleased to be part of Xinying, even if only as a temporary intern.

"Thank you, Sister Fang!"

"No need to thank me. In fact, don’t bother thanking anyone here. Our company is full of young, straightforward action-takers. Instead of thanking me, show us with good work."

While saying this, Sister Fang led Zhu Qianyu out the door.

As Zhu Qianyu sat back in the car, fastening her seatbelt, she heard Tian Fang ask, "R University is quite far from here; do you have plans on where to stay during your internship?"
