Trapped in Paradise

Chapter 410

Chapter 410

“This weather is so cold~”

At noon, as they walked out of the cafeteria, Ning Chu blew warm air onto her hands while her eyes stayed alert, scanning her surroundings.

Mm, no girls around who could compare to her looks.

Also none with obvious traits—no “big chest,” “loli,” or “uniform” types.

Good. Safe.

“I told you to wear more clothes, but you didn’t.” Wen Yang walked beside her, glancing down at Ning Chu’s legs wrapped in black tights. “Wearing a skirt in this cold? Trying to freeze your hamstrings?”

“It looks good!”

Ning Chu replied with full confidence.

Today she wore a thick white coat with a scarf, and on the bottom, a black short skirt with fleece-lined tights.

This outfit not only showed off her slim, straight legs but also let her tail move freely under the skirt without being discovered. She needed to look as pretty as possible to intimidate any potential suitors of Wen Yang. Otherwise, she’d rather dress plainly.

“Besides, my legs aren’t cold at all. These tights are warmer than the jeans I normally wear.”

Wen Yang lowered his head to look at those legs sticking out from beneath the skirt. They looked about as thick as warm pantyhose—he couldn’t imagine how they were supposed to be warm.

But her legs really did look nice. They weren’t thin like bamboo sticks; her thighs were full with a bit of softness and swayed slightly as she walked. Her calves were slim and well-shaped, with a gentle curve—no visible muscles.

Wen Yang used to like those internet-celebrity “chopstick legs,” but later realized that thighs with a bit of softness like Ning Chu’s were way better.

The experience of holding those legs while folding his girlfriend was amazing!

Without thinking, Wen Yang unzipped his coat, opened it up, and pulled Ning Chu inside, wrapping her together with him before zipping it back up.

Though Ning Chu’s height of 1.6 meters wasn’t short for a girl, she looked tiny next to him. Inside his coat, pressed against his chest, she looked like a kitten smuggled out in someone’s arms, poking her head in and out.

“This is hard to walk in…”

Ning Chu’s face had turned a shade redder, embarrassed by the attention they were getting from people around them.

“It’s fine. Are you heading to the library to write at noon?”

“Let’s walk around first.”

Wrapped inside Wen Yang’s coat, Ning Chu could feel warmth surrounding her from all directions. Her slightly cold body temperature quickly rose, to the point she felt a little hot. She tugged at her scarf to breathe, exposing a stretch of pale skin at her neck.

The two of them looked like they were conjoined, sharing one coat, shuffling slowly through campus like crabs.

Passing students all turned to look—first at the cute, petite girl in his arms, then at the tall, handsome guy—getting force-fed romance on the spot.

“Aww! So sweet~!”

Hearing that energetic voice, Ning Chu didn’t even need to turn around; even if all she could see was Wen Yang’s chest, she knew exactly who arrived.

CP-fan Yan Xinya dashed over and grabbed Ning Chu’s horn with perfect accuracy.

“You’re insane!”

Ning Chu tried to pounce to grab her tail back, but the coat trapped her in front of Wen Yang. She flailed her arms and legs for a long while but couldn’t move an inch forward.

“We’re going, Lily~!”

“Mm.”

Lily, keeping her icy expression, walked past Wen Yang and Ning Chu. She gave a quick glance at Ning Chu—whose face was red with anger—then suddenly reached out, pressed down on the tiny fingernail-sized horn, and even gave it a few gentle rubs.

Before Ning Chu could react, Lily sped up and sprinted off like the wind.

“Are they crazy?!”

Ning Chu immediately unzipped Wen Yang’s coat and wriggled out of his hold, but the two girls had already run far away.

“You! Why didn’t you grab them?! You just let them bully me?!”

Staring at the distant figures, she puffed her cheeks and took her frustration out on Wen Yang.

Wen Yang looked completely innocent.

Girls messing around with each other… as a guy, was he really supposed to get involved?

“How about you hit me twice to vent your anger?”

“Your skin’s too thick. I can’t hurt you.”

Ning Chu’s anger always came and went quickly. She sighed in frustration and poked at the small horns on her head again.

“What am I gonna do… They just had to be handsy the moment they barely grew out.”

Succubus horns were full of nerves, as sensitive as her tail. Unlike cows or sheep, these weren’t for fighting—they were more like… sensory equipment for pilots.

But while the tail could be hidden, the horns couldn’t.

“How about wearing a hat?”

“That works for now, but I won’t be able to wear one later, right?”

Imagining a hat being pushed up high and popping off her head because of her horns… Ning Chu actually thought the image was pretty cute.

If only it weren’t happening to her.

Holding Wen Yang’s hand, Ning Chu strolled with him into the school garden.

Previously, she rarely went to the school gardens—whether the lakeside one beside the teaching buildings or the small ones near the dorms.

Too easy to run into wild monsters.

But in winter, with temperatures at five or six degrees, the chances of couples braving the cold were much lower.

“Why do you look a little down?” Wen Yang keenly noticed Ning Chu’s faintly gloomy expression.

“I want iced cola.”

“I thought you were worried about your horns growing…”

“That’s inevitable. I can’t saw them off, right? They’re so sensitive, it’d hurt like hell!” Ning Chu, who had been fretting earlier, suddenly sounded completely nonchalant. “I have good mental fortitude~ I get over stuff quickly. Otherwise, when I turned into a girl, was I supposed to jump off a building?”

Wen Yang recalled that figure—naked, legs bleeding, fainted in the bathroom.

“Mm. Your mental fortitude is good.”

“Of course!”

With few people around, Ning Chu let loose.

She stepped onto the raised edge of the walkway—about ten centimeters higher—stood on tiptoe to compare her height with Wen Yang’s, then spread her arms and walked lightly along the narrow stone strip, keeping her balance beside him.

“The weekend’s in two days, right? Have you found your part-time job yet?”

“I’m thinking of buying stock from a wholesale supplier and selling it at the night market.”

Ning Chu’s eyes lit up, her head bobbing rapidly. “That’s great! If your business grows, you’ll be a big boss!”

“It’s not that easy.”

“You’re the protagonist~ blessed with protagonist luck~” She teased with a mischievous smile. “Just show a little charm and the girls will be fighting to buy from you.”

Wen Yang rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “That makes sense.”

“You’re asking for a beating!”

Catching him off guard, Ning Chu suddenly jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck, trying to kick at the back of his knee to trip him.

But she quickly realized she was just hanging off Wen Yang’s neck, her legs kicking uselessly in the air without touching the ground.

“What the—?!”

Wen Yang easily grabbed her thighs, lifted her up, and hoisted her straight onto his back.

“You were trying to ambush me?”

“Nooo~ I just wanted a hug~”

Ning Chu guiltily rested her hands on Wen Yang’s head, her eyes darting around.

The view from higher up really was better—everything looked smaller.
