Chapter 331: Olivia’s Ticket to Freedom
Chapter 331: Olivia’s Ticket to FreedomOlivia exhaled sharply and leaned forward. "I did not push Juliet," she stated, her voice filled with frustration. "Yes, I thought about it. Yes, I was furious. But I never laid a hand on her."
Stephanie
Juliet had been standing at the edge of the step when she miscalculated her footing, lost her balance, and tumbled down on her own.
And there was Olivia, standing frozen in shock before running after her.
Olivia’s lips parted in disbelief. ’He had it? The proof of her innocence?’
The video ended, and Victor casually slipped his phone back into his pocket.
"Looks like I’m the only person who can save you," he said smugly. "But..." He lifted his palm up and wiggled his fingers. "It comes with a price."
Olivia’s eyes darkened as she took a gamble even though she knew that he couldn’t be trusted. "What do you want?"
Victor’s smirk widened. "Simple. $500,000."
Her nostrils flared. "You’re insane."
Victor shrugged. "I call it a reasonable trade. Your freedom in exchange for what...? A little pocket change for someone like you?"
"You’re a damn thief!" Olivia spat.
"And you’re a criminal in the eyes of the law," he countered smoothly. "Unless, of course, you want to stay here and fight this case with zero evidence?"
Olivia glared at him, her fists clenching so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.
Victor’s smirk never faltered. "Take your time, Olivia. I will be waiting for your call."
Then, with a slow, arrogant turn, he walked out of the room.
As soon as he was gone, Olivia let out a scream of rage, kicking the metal bench in frustration.
Victor had her fate in his hands, so was she to bow to him?
