Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game

Chapter 307: Little Demoness [ 2 ]

Chapter 307: Little Demoness [ 2 ]

I stared into his eyes for a moment, not really sure what to say.

Though it seems like I didn’t need to say anything, as his daughter was loud enough already.

"Release him! Who even are you!?"

She expelled a chunk of her demonic energy, attempting to bring me down. But it was so unbelievably weak, to the point that her demonic energy was dispelled by my Control Field, not even managing to touch my skin.

Though I did listen to her and let Vincent go. He rubbed his neck with a startled look, realizing just how much stronger I had gotten. More importantly though, his eyes were glued to his daughter, practically telling her to run away as fast as she could.

And for that reason alone, I decided to clear up one minor misconception.

"I’m not here to hurt anyone. I just decided to drop by since I’m looking for someone." I glanced at Vincent. "Plus, as an extra added bonus, I’d like you to know your home is above a cave filled to the brim with demons. You two are going to die soon if you don’t move out."

His brows twitched.

"What are you talking about?"

I rolled my eyes. "I’m not going to repeat myself. And no, I’m not speaking bullshit. There really are demons below you. What you want to do with that information is up to you."

Then I glanced over to his daughter.

"And you can do whatever you want with my information as well."

Vincent slightly glanced toward his daughter, confused by my statement. Surprisingly, she didn’t say anything, and instead she lowered her head, avoiding both of our gazes.

Will I be the reason why she starts her rebellious phase?

Heh.

I’ll just have to see.

"I suppose we have to move out right away then," Vincent began thinking practically. "Jenna, pack your things. Erase all the traces like I told you."

"Dad..." Jenna raised her head slightly. "Why are we running from demons?"

"Because demons are terrible beings. They’d do unspeakable things to you," Vincent replied without hesitation.

Yet Jenna didn’t seem convinced. "But aren’t I also a demon? What if... instead of trying to turn me into a human, you took me to meet the demons? Won’t I be accepted? Can’t we try, dad?"

Vincent’s gaze grew cold. "No."

That’s it?

"B-But—"

"I said no," Vincent added, his energy leaking out slightly and suffocating Jenna. "You’re a hybrid. A mix between a human and a demon. You’ll be made fun of, and your life will be hell. This is not a discussion I thought we’d have, so I’ll be grounding you for a week once we get to the new location."

"Now... Jenna. Get ready to leave."

I felt a pang in my chest, since I knew this was no way to talk to your own daughter. How could he be so heartless to dismiss her wishes? Sure... he might feel like he knew best, but at this point, it resembled more like obsession, oppression, and no free will.

Why do I keep finding myself in these situations where I shouldn’t intervene, but selfishly want to...?

Right as she was about to leave and get her stuff ready, I coughed, getting both of their attention.

"Since you’re already planning to move out, why don’t I take her down to the demons below so she can meet them?"

"What?" Vincent narrowed his eyes. "Just what are you planning? Does your hatred for me stem that deep to the point that you’re willing to get my daughter killed?"

I scoffed. "I can manhandle their entire race. She’s safe with me, and it won’t take long. A few minutes at most. I just want to show her the reality of the situation. After all, if you feel like it’s what’s best for her, it’s better to show her with some hands-on experience, don’t you think?"

I knew very well what kind of mess I was putting him into, but despite him being a shitty father, that didn’t mean he couldn’t understand that if he answered my question the way he wanted to, his daughter would hate him forever.

And as it so happens, she was staring at him, earnestly waiting for the go-ahead.

"Jenna, this man over here was the one who cut off my arm, and he’s also the one who has killed hundreds of thousands of people. He’s Mikael, and he’s one of the most wanted men in the world. Are you sure you want that kind of man to be in charge of your safety?" Vincent said.

Jenna took a step back in surprise and looked me up and down. She seemed betrayed for a moment, but thankfully she wasn’t exactly stupid.

"If he was as bad a man as you say... why didn’t he kill us the moment he entered our home?"

"Because I’m acquainted with him," Vincent reasoned.

"He tried to kill me with his friend. We’re enemies," I chimed in.

That made Jenna even more unsure of whom to trust. But deep down, she also knew that now was as good a time as any to take hold of this opportunity. Otherwise, no other opportunity would come for a very, very long time.

So despite her fear, Jenna gulped and glanced at me.

"Can you really take me down there?"

"Jenna..." Vincent’s frown deepened. "You shouldn’t do this."

Obviously, if he could, he’d stop me. But he wasn’t stupid enough to not realize that I could manhandle him with just my fingernail.

Rolling my eyes at his attempts, I decided to lean against the doorframe and nod at Jenna.

"I’ll take you down there, show you around, and then take you back. I won’t be beside you, because I’m wanted by all of demonkind. But don’t worry, you’ll be safe."

She gulped once more and then nodded with trembling hands.

"I-In that case, take me there. I want to see it..."

"I want to see how they’ll treat me."
