Chapter 841: One who bestows dreams and the future (1)
Amid the music, the students suddenly heard a series of sounds as glass shattered upon hitting the floor.
Turning around, they saw a large number of cups knocked to the ground at the bar, various drinks spilling everywhere, along with a fallen, horror-themed guy dressed as a monster.
"Robin Hood" was in a boxing stance, while the guy with his head wrapped in bandages wiped his lips and slowly stood up, next to him a panicked Catwoman.
“He’s hitting someone! He’s hitting someone!”
“It seems to be a love rivalry?”
Whispers among the onlookers.
Caroline was indeed in a dazed state. She hadn't expected “Arnold” to suddenly appear and land a punch right on 403's face.
“Hey, take it easy. I was just playing a game with her,” 403 said, getting up and shrugging. “Got a boyfriend? Then forget it.”
His posture was casual, as if he were flirting with a woman, and when her boyfriend showed up, he intended to wave goodbye—something quite common on the streets.
“You’re looking for trouble.” “Arnold” had a terrifying look in his eyes, filled with rage and ferocity.Just as he was about to further teach this bandaged guy a lesson, Caroline grabbed his arm firmly and quickly said, “Don’t make a scene.”
“But he…” “Arnold” turned to look at Caroline, his anger still simmering.
Caroline shook her head, saying, “I don’t know him…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Caroline looked forward in surprise, noticing that “Arnold” followed her gaze and saw that the bandaged guy had already walked away, blending into the crowd.
“Arnold” reluctantly relaxed his fist. Caroline gently tugged at his shirt and whispered, “Let’s go; it’s not worth it.”
They returned their costumes to the dance party, changed back into their original clothes, and left the hall quietly without speaking—this was merely a brief interruption in the students’ flirting, which didn’t dampen their spirits. The hall soon resonated with uplifting music again.
“Arnold” walked ahead while Caroline slowly followed behind... She hadn’t anticipated “Arnold” would show such violence.
In a daze, Caroline seemed to understand what 403 wanted... She clearly remembered the look in 403's eyes.
Even after being knocked down, his gaze was so joyful, as if he were teasing a mad lion, appreciating its frenzy.
“I... I really don’t know him.” Caroline stepped closer, softly saying beside “Arnold,” “He just suddenly approached and kissed me; I didn’t know how to react.”
“I know.” “Arnold” shook his head, annoyed. “Probably some self-important jerk. I’ve seen plenty of guys like him! Don’t let me see him again, or else!”
“Or else what?” Caroline stopped, placed her hands behind her back, turned around, and faced “Arnold,” looking at him with wide eyes. “Or else what?”

Dr. Franky sat in silence, quietly taking a seat. Seeing that he wasn’t speaking, Barbara began to idly read a magazine.
“Barbara, I want to be discharged,” Dr. Franky suddenly said.
Barbara disagreed, “Doctor, why don’t you rest here for a few days? Once you feel better, you can go back. I’ll come by to keep you company. By the way, Mr. Alfie said he would rush over as soon as he finishes work. He didn’t want to leave, but he had to attend a meeting this afternoon, so...”
“It’s fine.” Dr. Franky shook his head and added, “By the way, I’m a bit hungry. Could you get me something to eat?”
“Sure! What would you like?” Barbara asked.
“I’d like some soup. I want something hearty,” Dr. Franky replied slowly.
Barbara quickly stood up and said, “Wait here; I’ll go check the hospital cafeteria.” Then she hesitated and asked, “Doctor... are you really okay?”
“What could be wrong with me? I just feel a bit off,” Dr. Franky said with a wry smile.
Barbara nodded and quickly left—but on her way, she called Mr. Alfie to inform him that Dr. Franky had woken up and regained his senses.
Upon hearing this, Mr. Alfie seemed a bit relieved. After giving a few simple instructions, he returned to his work but promised he would come by that evening.
Just as Mr. Alfie continued with the meeting, not long after, Barbara’s phone rang again. “What’s wrong, Barbara?”
“Sorry, sir... I don’t know... Doctor said he wanted something to eat, so I went to buy some soup, and then... I don’t know how to say this... sir, when I came back, Doctor was gone! He’s really gone this time! I can’t find him!”
“What!”
In the meeting, Mr. Alfie suddenly stood up amidst the shocked gazes of the others.
...
On a busy street, an elderly man in a patient’s gown was walking along. He waved, and a taxi quickly pulled up in front of him.
After getting in, the driver, noticing the elderly man’s attire, asked curiously, “Sir, did you just come from the hospital?”
The elderly man was Dr. Franky.
Dr. Franky didn’t respond; instead, he directly gave an address, “North Xiangshan Avenue, No. 481.”
This address was in an upscale residential area, home to the wealthy. Although the driver thought the old man looked a bit off, he didn’t question it too much.
“Sir, is this your home?” To lighten the mood, the driver decided to chat with the elderly man—drivers in the industry often like to talk, as the long hours on the road require something to pass the time.
“Yes, it’s my home,” Dr. Franky replied curtly, not in the mood to chat, and turned to look out the window, ignoring the driver.
Seeing that the old man was unwilling to talk, the driver turned on the radio. But after a while, the elderly man suddenly leaned forward and asked, “Where is this? Who are you? Where are you taking me?”
The driver was taken aback and opened his mouth to respond, “Sir, aren’t we heading to North Xiangshan Avenue, No. 481? That’s what you said, going home and all.”
“Did I say that?” Dr. Franky furrowed his brows and shook his head, “I didn’t say! The direction is wrong! Take me to the National Academy of Sciences, Aerospace Division!”
“Aerospace Division?” The driver was taken aback.
“What are you dawdling for? Hurry up!” Dr. Franky said in a serious tone. “I have a very urgent experiment to conduct!”
Is this old man... not right in the head? The driver eyed Dr. Franky suspiciously, ultimately feeling that something was off about this elderly man in a patient’s gown.
He glanced at the street nearby and spotted two police officers patrolling, so he quickly said, “Oh, sir, can you wait a moment? My son asked me to buy something, just over there! Wait a second, I’ll be right back!”
Without waiting for Dr. Franky to respond, the driver pulled over to the side of the road, removed the car key, and hurried over to the two patrolling officers.
“Officer, an old man just got into my car, and he seems to be a bit confused. Can you contact his family or something...?”
“Is this the person you’re talking about?” one of the officers pointed.
The driver looked over and saw that the strange old man had already gotten into another taxi and was driving off onto the highway.
...
“National Academy of Sciences, Aerospace Division!” Dr. Franky said seriously. “I am Dr. Franky, and I have very important experiments to conduct! Please hurry up! You're making a contribution to the country!”
