Chapter 135.1: Fusing Two Domains! (I)

Chapter 135.1: Fusing Two Domains! (I)

The three men's expressions shifted slightly. Their gazes swept across the people on the ship before settling on Lu Changsheng.

"Hmm? What do you mean you won't lend us the ship?" one of them asked.

"Perhaps we should introduce ourselves," another one said. "We are disciples of the Dark Abyss Sect, and we are going to borrow your ship for a while. Is that clear?"

The Dark Abyss Sect clearly held influence in these waters, and as Divine Strength Realm martial artists of the sect, the three men carried themselves with confidence and arrogance.

They believed that once the sect's name was mentioned, Lu Changsheng would not refuse. This was simply a ship owned by foreign merchants, and no foreign merchant in their right mind would dare defy the Dark Abyss Sect.

Lu Changsheng's tone remained cold and firm. "I said no."

The three men's expressions darkened at once. "You..."

They could not believe that Lu Changsheng had rejected them a second time, even after they had mentioned the Dark Abyss Sect.

A chill slowly crept across their faces.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a man in a long red robe leapt from the small boat. He skimmed across the surface of the sea in several quick steps before landing lightly on the deck of the large ship.

The moment the three men saw him, they bowed at once. "Greetings, Senior Brother!"

The red-robed man looked at them coldly. "Explain."

"Senior Brother, we tried to borrow this foreign merchant ship, but they refused," one of them answered.

"Refused? You useless trash! As disciples of the Dark Abyss Sect, you can't even manage to borrow a ship from a group of foreign merchants?"

The red-robed man's eyes swept over the sailors on the deck, his expression turning even colder. "Leave no one alive."

The three men felt their chests tighten. "Yes, Senior Brother."

They knew the red-robed man was already displeased with them, and if they failed again, they would surely be punished upon their return to the Dark Abyss Sect. They were all Divine Strength martial artists, but the red-robed man had a far higher status than them. If he chose to discipline them, it would take no effort at all.

The three men slowly raised their heads. Their eyes filled with killing intent as they glared at the sailors in front of them.

The sailors' expressions changed at once. None of them wanted to die. When they realized these men were from the Dark Abyss Sect, their fear deepened. No one wanted to offend a sect like that.

The captain turned toward Lu Changsheng again. "Mr. Dao..."

Lu Changsheng slowly opened his eyes. "That's enough."

These people brimmed with murderous intent and were even shouting. Clearly, they weren't taking him seriously at all. As for the Dark Abyss Sect, Lu Changsheng had never heard of it.

Buzz!

Suddenly, darkness descended, and the sea disappeared. Everyone suddenly felt as if they had been pulled into a vast, pitch-black starry sky. In that endless darkness, an enormous waterfall stretched across the cosmos, creating a boundless and majestic sight that left everyone in awe.

The red-robed man's expression changed drastically. "This is... Intent!"

Schwing!

Lu Changsheng swung his saber, and a streak of blood-colored saber light slashed through the void. Within the void, the roar of distant waves could be heard. The saber light enveloped the four men before they had time to react.

Splurt!

They stiffened where they stood, and a heartbeat later their heads rolled across the deck. Blood sprayed into the air, and the sharp metallic scent quickly spread across the ship.

The entire ship fell deathly quiet. The captain and the sailors stood motionless, their minds still struggling to catch up with what had just happened. Those were four Divine Strength martial artists, and one of them was even a Senior Brother of the Dark Abyss Sect, yet they fell just like that.

"Throw the bodies into the sea and wash the deck clean," Lu Changsheng said, then closed his eyes again.

They had only been four Divine Strength martial artists, and none of them, not even that so-called Senior Brother, had comprehended Intent. Against opponents like that, Lu Changsheng did not need a second strike.

To him now, a Divine Strength martial artist who had not comprehended Intent was no different from a Body Tempering martial artist. No matter how many of them he had to face, there wouldn't be any difference. They were nothing more than cattle waiting to be slaughtered.

"Yes, Mr. Dao," the captain replied, his voice trembling. But alongside that fear, there was also excitement.

Although he had always known that Mr. Dao was a powerful man with ties to the Far Ocean Merchant Association, he had never truly understood the extent of that power. Only after seeing him cut down four Divine Strength experts with a single strike did he realize that as long as Mr. Dao remained aboard, nothing would happen to them.

In the distance, the remaining disciples of the Dark Abyss Sect on the small boat had clearly seen the four Divine Strength martial artists die, so they dared not linger and quickly steered the boat away.

Lu Changsheng paid them no attention and returned to contemplating his Wave Intent.

In the blink of an eye, several more days passed. Lu Changsheng's Wave Intent had reached ninety-nine percent completion. Only the final step remained before he could achieve Perfection in Wave Intent. That last step, however, could not be forced. It required the right stroke of fortune.

"Head further out to sea," Lu Changsheng instructed the captain.

"Yes, Mr. Dao." The captain obeyed at once and steered the ship toward deeper waters.

Boom!

The weather at sea changed quickly. Dark clouds gathered overhead, lightning flashed, and thunder rolled across the sky. A storm was approaching, and storms at sea almost always brought towering waves.

Suddenly, Lu Changsheng sensed that the waters were churning. The waves are here!

These monstrous waves surged forward with force so overwhelming that they could crush almost everything in their path. The raw power of nature was something no ordinary human could ever defend against.

Lu Changsheng took a deep breath and instructed the crew, "All of you stay here."

Then he leapt overboard and plunged into the sea. Once in the water, he swam straight toward the violent waves and was soon surrounded by them.

Within the rocky waters, the world spun around him. The waves hurled him high into the air before slamming down again. One after another, walls of water dozens of zhang tall crashed and roared across the surface without end.

Instead of resisting the waves, Lu Changsheng let himself drift with them, sensing their movement and rhythm. As he immersed himself in their surging flow, a sudden flash of inspiration struck. His Wave Intent spread outward on its own, transforming at a rapid pace. Gradually, it deepened and expanded until it finally evolved into a Wave Domain.

Boom!

At that moment, a massive wave crashed against the ship, and Lu Changsheng, carried by the surging sea, was swept back toward the vessel before he even realized it.

He threw his head back and laughed. "Hahaha!

I've got the Wave Domain now!"

Compared with the raging waves around him, however, his laughter sounded almost insignificant. Then with a single leap, he hopped back onto the deck.

Lu Changsheng turned to the captain. "Let's go. We shall return to Zhanhai City now."

"Yes, Mr. Dao," the captain replied.

The captain and the sailors moved at once. Faced with such terrifying waves, they had long wanted to leave. Fortunately, they were seasoned seafarers, and the ship itself was sturdy enough to withstand the storm, so departing now posed no real problem.

Lu Changsheng sat cross-legged on the deck and pulled up his Status Panel.

As expected, the Wave Domain had appeared. He studied the Wave Domain and the Storm Domain side by side, and an idea gradually formed in his mind. He lifted his head and looked out toward the sea.

Towering waves surged across the ocean one after another. The wind howled, and in the distance the sea twisted into towering whirlwinds. Some of them even pulled great columns of water into the air, forming a spectacular sight. Driven by the storm winds, the waves rose higher and higher as they rolled across the sea.

Storm and waves complement each other. In fact, storms only make the waves more terrifying. Out at sea, whenever there is a storm, there are always waves. If storms and waves are so closely connected, could the Wave Domain and Storm Domain be fused together? If they are fused, what would they become?

Buzz!

These questions bothered Lu Changsheng, so he immediately activated his Storm Domain to try fusing it with the Wave Domain. It spread out around him, but he deliberately kept it away from the sailors so it would not affect them. Afterward, he released the Wave Domain.

When the two Domains overlapped, however, nothing seemed to change.

Normally, Domains did not interfere with one another unless they were deliberately forced into conflict. Only when two Domains confronted each other would they collide and struggle for dominance.

For example, if Lu Changsheng encountered another martial artist who had evolved a Domain, their Domains would clash and oppose one another.

However, this was not what Lu Changsheng wanted. He wanted to fuse them, and the fusion could only happen if he personally guided the process.
