Chapter 652 631: How Far Have You Two Gone?

Chapter 652 631: How Far Have You Two Gone?

"Uncle, hello." Ren Feng greeted.

Yu Aiguo looked at Ren Feng and said blandly, "Come with me for a moment."

Following Yu Aiguo outside to the balcony, Yu Aiguo took out a cigarette and then lit it.

Bluish smoke exhaled, Yu Aiguo glanced at Ren Feng, "When did it start?"

"Seems like two months ago." Ren Feng thought for a moment; the timeline should be right. It was around that time he fainted and ended up in the hospital bed, where he met Yu Qingquan.

"Seems like?" Yu Aiguo frowned, "You can't even confirm the time?"

"Exactly two months ago." Ren Feng felt a jolt inside, quickly affirming.

"How far have you and Qingquan progressed?"

"Just holding hands." After Ren Feng said this, he saw Yu Aiguo frown and quickly added, "Of course, we occasionally kiss too."

Yu Aiguo sized up Ren Feng, "What did you study? Where do you work?"

"Currently working at Flying Snow Group," Ren Feng answered, "I spent some time at the University of Cambridge before."

University of Cambridge?

Yu Aiguo scrutinized Ren Feng again, but what Ren Feng said was true. He was indeed there two months for an assignment last time.

"Have you gone that far with Qingquan?" Yu Aiguo asked nonchalantly.

"Gone how far?" Ren Feng asked, suddenly realizing and bitterly laughed, "Uncle, don't worry. Qingquan and I really haven't gone that far yet."

Ren Feng sweated nervously inside, realizing all those questions were leading to this one?

While the two were chatting, Yan Xue Mei smiled and said, "Aiguo, don't you like playing chess? Play a game with Xiaofeng; stop barraging him with questions like you're interrogating a criminal."

Yu Qingquan stood by, a bit anxious, as Yu Aiguo glanced at Yan Xue Mei, saying nothing, and went ahead setting up the chessboard.

Ren Feng sat down, and the two began battling it out in chess, with Ren Feng narrowly losing each time, always just a move or two from winning.

This was intentional on Ren Feng's part; beating your future father-in-law isn't wise if you hope to marry his daughter.

"Do you know what I do?" Yu Aiguo asked.

"Yes, you're a Western medicine practitioner."

"Have you met my dad?"

"I have, the old gentleman is very spirited."

"What are your thoughts on Chinese versus Western medicine?"

Hearing this question, Ren Feng felt a tug at his heart, cautiously responding, "I believe that whether Chinese or Western medicine, being able to heal is what makes a good doctor. Both have their methods and their strengths and weaknesses; we should learn from each other and capitalize on our advantages."

Yu Aiguo said blandly, "But overall, Western medicine still has more advantages currently, right?"

This guy's also a stickler, just like Mr. Yu.

Ren Feng felt a twinge of helplessness inside, "Western medicine is indeed strong in quick and effective treatments, but Chinese medicine's effects are slower, involving lengthier courses, though it seldom leaves any aftereffects. I understand a bit of Chinese medicine; I think both have their merits, and we shouldn't blindly favor one."

Yu Qingquan brought two cups of tea over, placing them beside the two.

"Aiguo, stop pulling everyone into these discussions. Last time, my rheumatism wasn't cured by you, was it? It was Xiaofeng who treated it, right?" Yan Xue Mei said on the side.

"Is that so?" Yu Aiguo looked somewhat surprised, reassessing Ren Feng, nodded, "No wonder you speak up for Chinese medicine."

Ren Feng twitched his lips; I wasn't speaking up for Chinese medicine; I was just stating the facts objectively.

That whole morning felt like torture to Ren Feng, finally relieved when Yan Xue Mei called out, "Alright, come and eat."

The table was already set with many dishes, a round table with four people seated.

"Xiaofeng, eat more." Yan Xue Mei was very pleased, like a mother-in-law looking at a son-in-law, getting happier the more she looked.

Ren Feng glanced at Yu Aiguo, then offered some dishes to Yu Qingquan.

"Your name is Ren Feng?"

Yu Aiguo asked.

"Yes."

After that, Yu Aiguo didn't ask more, leaving Ren Feng feeling a bit uneasy, unable to do anything about it, especially since he had just been caught kissing his daughter.

It's truly awkward to think about it.

Finishing the meal, Ren Feng felt a bit relieved inside.

"Uncle, Aunty, Qingquan, I have some things to attend to, so I'll be off."

"I have some matters too, let's go together."

Yu Aiguo spoke up.

Ren Feng groaned internally but had no choice but to leave with Yu Aiguo.

"After spending so much time with our Qingquan, what do you think of her?"

As they walked in the neighborhood, Yu Aiguo asked flatly.

"She's a good girl, kind-hearted, and gentle in character." Ren Feng thought of the words while contemplating the implication of Yu Aiguo's inquiry.

Yu Aiguo nodded, "Alright, I have to head that way. Which way are you going?"

"This way." Ren Feng pointed in the opposite direction.

"Alright, remember to treat Qingquan well."

Yu Aiguo said blandly, then left.

Ren Feng was stunned; was this an agreement?

Watching Yu Aiguo's back, Ren Feng felt a bit touched inside; here's a man who hides all his emotions.

At the same time, Yu Qingquan's call came through.

"Ren Feng, are you alright?" Yu Qingquan sounded a bit worried.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. Your dad is more reasonable than your grandpa, he didn't go physical." Ren Feng laughed, "And he's agreed too."

"Agreed to what?"

"Agreed to us being together." Ren Feng laughed heartily.

On the other end, Yu Qingquan blushed a bit and whispered, "It's okay as long as you're fine, take care."

After hanging up, Ren Feng felt relieved inside.

The next time Yu Qingquan invites him for a meal, he'll definitely weigh the situation more carefully.

But luckily, Yu Aiguo, unlike Yu Guanyi, was reasonable enough not to resort to violence; his luck wasn't too bad.

Just as he left the neighborhood, Ren Feng hadn't gone far when he received a message.

"Are you free? If so, come to the school once."

The message was from Jiang Moshu.

He's been in the United States for over half a month, not been in the country.

Seeing the message, Ren Feng slightly smiled and went straight to Jiangnan University.

Arriving at Jiangnan University, Jiang Moshu called him over to a faculty dorm building. Once inside, as soon as Ren Feng opened the door, he found himself being pulled in.

With a smack sound, the door closed, and Ren Feng was pushed onto the bed, barely having time to react before his lips were sealed.
