Chapter 863 - 863: Blow on It and the Pain Is Gone
Mason Nightshade was silent for a moment, "To win her heart."Mr. Campbell was stunned, then burst into laughter, "You young people's ideas, I don't understand them anymore. Alright, alright, I won't meddle in your affairs anymore.
Do you want to know about Isabella Parker?"
...
Saturday arrived in the blink of an eye.
In the morning, Jennifer Campbell sent her a WeChat message, though she had no clue how she got her WeChat ID.
"Do you need me to pick you up? I'm going your way anyway."
On her way?
The Campbell Family is in the north of the city and the Nightshade Family is in the south, how is that on her way?
Aurelia Shaw replied with just "No need," and drove the deep blue sports car Mason Nightshade gave her to the Campbell Family estate.
Campbell Family estate.
The gate was open, and Aurelia Shaw glanced around, not seeing a single person. She hesitated for a moment, and seeing that no one was coming out to meet her, she drove in herself.
Ten minutes later... Aurelia Shaw was lost.
She sat in the car, looking to the left and then to the right. Every road looked the same; which one should she take?
Why did the Campbell estate have to be built so big?
Aurelia Shaw got out of the car, intending to walk around and see if she could bump into someone, when suddenly a soft and squishy object bumped into her leg.
Aurelia Shaw turned her eyes to it in surprise and saw a plump little boy, as if made of glutinous rice, sitting on the ground. Noticing she was looking at him, the boy panicked, looked around, and simply buried his head between his legs, curling up like a turtle.
Aurelia Shaw was taken aback, her curious gaze lingering on the glutinous rice ball-like boy, blinking.
Whose child is this?
The boy listened for a long time without hearing any movement, thinking Aurelia had left. He moved his head and looked up, only to lock eyes with her.
Both were stunned.
The boy opened his mouth wide in awkwardness, his body rigid, and as he saw Aurelia walking toward him, he panicked like a startled rabbit, scrambling to his feet and running forward.
Only to trip over a stone on the ground and fall.
Aurelia Shaw hurried over.
It was clear to her that the boy was afraid of her, but letting him run off without tending his wound, the injury could easily get infected. Children are the most vulnerable, and a little injury might cause a fever.
She picked up the boy and saw that his knee was bleeding. She blew on it, "It doesn't hurt, doesn't hurt, blow on it and it won't hurt. Let sister blow on it for you."
The boy tensed up all over, watching Aurelia cautiously. Seeing that she made no other moves, he relaxed a bit, and the tears in his eyes receded.
Aurelia Shaw sighed in relief.
She was most afraid of children crying; once they cry, she's at a loss.
She wiped his dusty and dirty face, only to make it dirtier. The previously clean, fair face became grimy, and seeing this, Aurelia couldn't help but laugh.
The boy didn't know why she was laughing and stood frozen in place for a moment due to her actions, blinking awkwardly with tears welling up in his eyes again.
"Oh dear, darling, don't cry, please don't cry. I won't laugh anymore." Aurelia stood up, recalling there were band-aids in the car, and turned to head toward the car.
The boy thought she was leaving, suddenly at a loss of what to do, looking around, wanting to call her but unable to make a sound.
At this moment, Aurelia suddenly turned her head back.
The boy was so frightened he curled into a ball immediately.
Aurelia was amused by his reaction, thinking to herself: Am I that scary?
"Don't run around, okay? There's a man-eating tiger nearby that loves eating naughty kids." After threatening, Aurelia smiled slightly, "I'll go get a band-aid from the car, be right back."
