Chapter 140: Buying Another Property

I got feedback from Shadow and Lan the next day.

They had used the system I sent to them and gotten good results after trying to transfer money to each other.

Moreover, they even suggested a few changes I could make to the system to make it more secure and user friendly.

Lan suggested that I should make it like a series.

The first one mainly targeted large companies but I could make another version that could be used by individuals.

This would give convenience to many people.

With this suggestion, I immediately got to work and finally finished the first version.

Depending on the growth of technology in the future, it might be upgraded to make sure that the security of transactions is guaranteed.

I sent a message to Shadow asking him to meet and show me the locations he had chosen that could be used as company offices.

We met in the city the following day and to my surprise, it was the manager of the same real estate office we went to buy the house in.

"Mr. Casper, the buildings I told you about are in different directions. But two of them are in the city center. I will take you to see them, if you are not satisfied, we can go look at the rest." The manager said respectfully.

"Alright, no need to be so formal. Let’s go and see them. My apprentice here wants to start working right away." Shadow said, giving me a bright smile.

He was still dressed casually like someone without power or connections.

If I hadn’t seen the contract offered by Lan for my birthday gift, I would have believed that too.

"Okay, this way please." The manager led the way and we walked in the streets for a while before coming to a stop in front of a building.

The building had thirty floors and was located a short distance from the commercial street.

For a security or financial company, it wouldn’t be bad if the company opened their offices there.

"Where is the other one?" I suddenly asked, causing the manager to look at me with surprise without saying anything.

"Why aren’t you answering her? She is your client today. If she isn’t satisfied with your service, you will take the blame." Shadow said.

"No, sir. I didn’t know she was my client today. Sorry Miss for my negligence. The other building is a little further from the city center but is still within the city. Moreover, there is an empty plot of land behind it that could be used for expansion. It’s just that, because of its location, not many people have shown interest in it." The manager apologized first then explained the situation.

"Take us there. I want to see this land that people are avoiding." If the building had more land next to it and it could be bought together, then I could build a bigger office in the future once my company grows.

For now, I just needed an average sized building to start.

"Okay, I’ll take you there. Let’s go." The manager agreed immediately and led us to a parked car.

We all got in and headed to the Eastern side of the city.

That area didn’t have many office buildings, but driving a bit further would take you to a place where godowns had been built.

However, once I saw the building, I was hooked. I wasn’t even interested in looking at the other locations.

I was sure that this was the best location for our company.

The manager took us into the building for a tour and I was even more satisfied.

Content with the place, I immediately offered to buy it.

"The office building might be in a slightly disadvantageous location, but it is a good building. It is sturdy and is already furnished. So, you can move in immediately. However, the owner is still selling it at twenty million dollars. What do you think, Miss?" The manager told me about the price and I was actually surprised.

I expected it to go up to thirty million dollars. I didn’t expect it to be cheaper by ten million.

"That’s great. Bring me the contract. I will buy it immediately and pay full price." I was literally glowing knowing that I was about to become the proud owner of a company.

Those gigs I took for practice really were useful.

I gathered more money than I needed to buy the place.

"The land behind the building is owned by the same person. So if you want to buy it, I can get you a good price. How about it?" The manager asked.

I turned to look at Shadow, who had been following us around and watching from the side all this time.

"What do you think, teacher?" I asked him.

In fact, I had already made up my mind, but I didn’t want him to feel excluded when he dropped everything to accompany me.

"It’s a good investment. We don’t know what will happen in the future. So, you should buy the place." He advised.

Since we were thinking the same way, and I didn’t have to convince him.

"Okay, give me a good price. I will buy it."

After all the formalities were finished, we even went to the government office to get certificates for the transfer of ownership of the land and building.

"Okay little princess. Now you have everything you need to open a company. Do you need me to help you with anything else?" Casper asked with a smile.

"I need to recruit employees for all departments, but I have no experience and I don’t even know how to sift through them."

This time, I was really in a dilemma.

"Don’t worry about that. For the important positions, I will help you in hiring people. For the others, you can put an advert to recruit more people. This will also speed up the process."

I was overjoyed that Casper offered to help. I also thought that his suggestion of finding talents through advertising was a great idea.
