Chapter 800 - 800 800 Murder and Seize Power
800: Chapter 800: Murder and Seize Power 800: Chapter 800: Murder and Seize Power A grand mansion, surrounded by walls and punctuated by a courtyard, guarded by security personnel, clearly indicates that the master of this dwelling must hail from an intriguing background.
Indeed, the owner of this mansion is a locally notorious gang boss.
He runs seven diverse operations and commands an army of over a hundred men who kill and hustle for him, earning him vast amounts of money daily and allowing him to live a life of unabashed luxury.
Today, the gang boss was relaxing in his home, enjoying wine and female company, when a bit of disturbing news arrived.
Five of his underlings were seeking an audience with him, brought urgent news — there seemed to be trouble with a shipment they were escorting.
The boss, livid at this disruption, demanded that the underlings be brought before him.
He wanted to know firsthand what had happened to his prized cargo.
Naturally, the boss’ men weren’t fools — before allowing anyone into the presence of their leader, they’d ensure to scan them for any hidden weapons.
The underlings, once inside the mansion and in the grand reception room, displayed evident unease upon laying eyes on their boss.
The boss wasn’t particularly fond of these underlings.
Still, his interest was piqued when he noticed a captivating Eastern woman silently standing behind them.
“Speak!
What the hell happened to my cargo?” he barked, his frosty gaze enough to silence the trembling underlings.
Qian Ye was unconcerned by these theatrics.
She walked around the room, appreciatively eyeing the opulence of the mansion.
“This place is quite nice — it really suits my tastes.
Compared to Gu Fan’s dilapidated old house, this place is practically a palace,” she noted.
Hearing this, the boss turned to her and demanded, “Who are you?”
Qian Ye didn’t bother responding; instead, she continued appreciating her soon-to-be mansion, settling herself comfortably on a plush sofa even.
Feeling ignored, the gang boss’s frustration flared.
He stood up, demanding, “Who the hell is she?
Can any of you answer me?”
The underlings dared not utter a word, reducing the boss to a boiling rage, as he shouted, “Are you all suddenly deaf, or has everyone conveniently become mute?”
“They’re not deaf, and they’re not mute.
They simply didn’t have my permission to speak to you,” Qian Ye retorted, smirking as if she were the true mistress of the house, ruling over all it encompassed.
The atmosphere was growing tense.
Sensing this, the two women by the boss’ side tried to discretely move away, but Qian Ye noticed and lightly commented, “You seem to be having a great time, surrounded by women.”
“Who the hell are you?” The gang boss brandished his gun at Qian Ye, his face a twisted snarl, “Answer me quickly, or say goodbye to that pretty face of yours!”
Qian Ye shrugged nonchalantly, “Would you really ruin such a beautiful face?”
“I’ve seen plenty of beautiful women.
To me, they’re nothing more than playthings,” the boss dismissed with contempt.
Qian Ye frowned at his disparaging remark about women.
At this point, one of the boss’s female companions attempted to make a hasty retreat, but he grabbed her by the hair, barking, “I didn’t say you could leave!”
The woman whimpered, begging for mercy.
Yet, the boss showed none, flinging her aside with brutal disdain.
Qian Ye, thoroughly displeased, declared, “Enough!
I despise scum who abuse women.” Rising from the sofa, she glared at the boss with unmasked hostility.
“Like I told you, women are playthings to me.
And you’re no exception,” the boss declared, pressing the end of his gun against Qian Ye’s forehead, “Now tell me who the hell you are or I’m going to blow your head off!”
Just as he finished his threat, Lin Xi gave a casual snap of her fingers.
From the boss’s grip, the gun flew into the air and landed perfectly in Qian Ye’s waiting hand.
Qian Ye didn’t immediately react, instead, she calmly examined the weapon, exuding an aura of complete control.
The boss panicked, his prior arrogance dissipating as he dashed to a corner to hit the alarm, calling for reinforcement.
“I don’t care who you are, crossing me was a massive mistake,” he warned.
He then turned to the underlings and sneered, “You conspired against me with this woman.
Wait and see how I deal with traitors.
I’ll bury you, and your families!”
The underlings were terrified, glancing nervously at Qian Ye, who simply told them, “What’s there to be afraid of?
If you’re so easily spooked, you’re in the wrong line of work.
As for whether this man will make it through the night…
that depends on my mood.”
Qian Ye’s ominous words compounded the boss’s fear.
Frantically taking in everything, he gauged his potential escape routes.
Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed, and the room filled with armed men, guns trained on Qian Ye and the underlings.
“What do we do?” the underlings whitened in fear, frozen in place.
Observing his manpower, the boss reveled in his regained advantage, “Do you even know whose turf you’re on?
Do you know who you are provoking?”
“Of course, this place will soon be mine,” Qian Ye retorted dismissively, “And you’re a dead man walking.
I don’t even care to know your name.” As she spoke, everyone in the room suddenly lost control of their bodies, turning their weapons to aim at the boss.
“What are you doing?!” the boss demanded, but his men were just as confused and terrified, unable to regain control of their bodies.
“Very well, then.” Qian Ye announced, her tone suggestive of a grim verdict, “I now lay claim to everything that was yours: your territories, your house, your treasures.
As for your women, I’m not interested.
However, I deeply dislike bullies like you, so I won’t be sparing you.
Goodbye.” She motioned for the underlings to execute her orders.
The underlings, seeing Qian Ye in complete control, sprang into action, rounding up the boss, and pinning him to the ground.
“What are you doing?
Have you all lost your minds?” the boss protested, but his struggles were futile.
Qian Ye added, “Don’t kill him here; I intend to live here.
As for how to handle him, well… handle him the same way he ordered you to handle others.
Remember, compassion for your enemy is cruelty to yourself.”
