This Young Master is not Cannon Fodder

Chapter 715: END

Chapter 715: END

The phantom figure did not pay attention to Founder Confucius. It only felt an instinctual relief after releasing that thing. Although the foundation of the Pangu System had weakened a bit, the sense of relief was far more important to it.

If it were only to return that one thing, the phantom figure wouldn’t have needed to materialize. So its actions continued.

The phantom figure raised its hand, but few saw its actions. Although Confucius could see it, that didn’t mean others could. Divinities like Yan Nie, the Concealed Emperor, and Perfected Huanglong only vaguely sensed it. They could not see its movements accurately.

As for Daoyi, she was stationed in the Death Goddess Planetary Alliance System at Tianyi’s insistence. In fact, aside from her, Tianyi also wanted the other divinities to relocate there for safety, but many of them refused. Yan Nie, the Concealed Emperor, and Perfected Huanglong wanted to witness Tianyi’s success or failure for themselves.

Of course, they did not stay within the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System when Tianyi began his actions, but outside it. Due to the manifestation of the Nine Heavens Universe, it had spread too far and enshrouded them. The intermingling between the Pangu System and the Nine Heavens Universe made it so they could not escape, but now there was no need.

Under the phantom figure’s control, the devastation wrought by the clash between Pangu and Tianyi rewound. The fractured realms regrouped, as if pulled by an invisible force. In fact, they followed the same trajectory as when they shattered, only in reverse.

It wasn’t just the countless realms, but also the limitless number of planets. The change didn’t stop at recovery. Most of the realms curved until their edges touched, forming a perfect sphere. The dimensional boundary also changed, transforming them from realms into planets. These new planets would have surely perished if they had remained that way, but they gravitated toward a star and revolved around it until they formed stable orbits.

These realms, which had transformed into planets, lost their protective barriers, making it easier for invaders to penetrate their defenses, but in return, the spiritual qi density rose, and the potential of future lifeforms born on the land increased.

The closer to the original location of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, the greater the density of spiritual qi. Even the space between planets contained faint energy emitted from the stars. Correspondingly, there was a larger number of solar systems and planets that could bear life.

The Primordial Realm, which remained almost untouched in the collision between Pangu and Tianyi, moved. Not by choice, but because of an external force. The immortal ministers of the Heavenly Immortal Court discovered that the Primordial Realm was flying toward the Nine Heavens System. Although they did not know what was going on, it did not prevent them from doing everything in their power to stop it, but they discovered to their horror that nothing they did could affect the Primordial Realm’s course.

They were powerless, and the only thing they could do was pray. Pray like the weak mortals they once were.

The Primordial Realm flew past the outer planets until it reached the third planet from the central star. Without stopping, it charged straight at it. Many of the immortal sovereigns who could sense this either did their best to set up defenses or to flee. Unfortunately, they accomplished nothing.

Before they could even do much, the Primordial Realm and the third planet of the Nine Heavens System collided. The collision did not cause an apocalyptic scene. If anything, it was calm and peaceful. The entire Primordial Realm merged with the third planet seamlessly, as if they were once one entity. It wasn’t just the Primordial Realm; the Virtuous Realm also merged with the third planet not long after.

The sudden change to the location’s structure caused the formations that once covered the dimensional boundary to lose their purpose and cease functioning. It would take many years for the Heavenly Immortal Court to remake the guardian formation, and even longer for them to create a formation that could cover the entire planet.

This change continued until everything settled down. Though that was the case, the materialization of the Nine Heavens Universe had not ended. Although the rate had slowed down dramatically, it was still expanding, conjuring stars, planets, and countless other celestial bodies.

Granted, the rate had slowed down dramatically, but even the Heavenly Will did not know when the Nine Heavens Universe would fully emerge. After all, not even Tianyi knew its true extent. Perhaps the Nine Heavens Universe’s expansion would end after trillions of kilometers, perhaps even quadrillions of kilometers. Or the Nine Heavens Universe could continue to expand until it overlapped with the entire greater universe.

Even if it did not expand to cover the entire greater universe, conflict could arise once the Nine Heavens Universe encroached upon another system. The moment of contact would mean the start of Chaos Fusion. If the system had pantheons, they would naturally fight back. Although they would be unlikely to win, they could spread the news if they survived.

In terms of danger, the Nine Heavens Universe was no less than the Nine Hells Abyss to various pantheons, but until then, peace would continue.

However, Tianyi never considered this aspect. Perhaps he himself didn’t believe that the Nine Heavens Universe would be this vast, and the Heavenly Will never considered it either. Even if it knew, it would not care. Right now, its mission had not finished.

In front of the phantom lay a divinity. Clad in purple robes embroidered with silver phoenixes, her eyes were closed, but even so, there was an unmistakable resemblance between her eyes and the phantom figure’s sole eye.

The Heavenly Will’s manifestation floated in the air, seemingly doing nothing but staring at Xi Mengfei’s body. Its eyes held no emotion, just indifference.

Finally, Mengfei’s eyelashes trembled, and she opened her eyes. Unlike the last time Tianyi saw her, her gaze was no longer blank. Unfortunately, Tianyi no longer had a chance to see it.

Mengfei blinked a few more times before righting herself. Although she no longer controlled the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, the changes it brought to her remained. Mengfei radiated the aura of a divinity, but she lacked a divine world. Once she created her divine world and acclimated to her cultivation base, her power would instantly soar.

Unfortunately, Mengfei was not in a state to appreciate this. Her memories were fuzzy, especially after she started mastering the Heaven Seal, but she could still remember some vague points.

“Yi’er?” Mengfei let out as she stared at the phantom figure. Her intuition told her that this phantom figure was her son, but simultaneously, it told her that it was not Tianyi. Before she could resolve this conflicting feeling, the phantom figure vanished. “Wait!”

The Heavenly Will paid no heed to Mengfei’s words. It did not vanish. Rather, the world around it had changed. From the Nine Heavens Universe System, it reverted back to the stalemate between the Pangu System and the Nine Heavens Universe. The reversion did not stop, as the Nine Heavens Universe seemed to shrink and vanish while the Pangu System reverted back to the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System.

It still didn’t end, as the Numinous Realm split from the Primordial Realm, and even the Buddhist Pure Lands-Pseudo System seemed to have returned. The True Dragon Realm, Phoenix Realm, and Qilin Realm also split and reverted back to the Divine Beast-Pseudo System.

The splitting did not end, as ninety-nine realms left the Primordial Realm and reverted it back to the Huang Realm. The splitting ended when the Virtuous Realm returned to the Huang Realm. Still, the changes did not stop.

Like on rewind, all life acted in reverse. The Heavenly Will did not act and continued to watch.

It calmly waited as it saw Tianyi play a key role in destroying the Eight Pillars Sect. The scenes slowly changed, from the Eight Pillars Sect to when Tianyi underwent his Immortal Ascension Heavenly Tribulation and broke countless records: countless battles with the Dragon Emperor and his clones, attending the Young Heavens Tournament, meeting Su Bojing, attending the Three Heavenly Connection Gathering, and the sickness brought about by entering the Core Formation Realm.

The Heavenly Will watched it all without reacting. This continued even when Tianyi reverted to his infancy. It was not until Tianyi returned to Mengfei’s womb that it acted. Specifically, it was the moment the foreign soul entered the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System and took over the embryo that had just been swallowed by the Dragon Emperor clone.

It followed the foreign soul as it flew backward and out of the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System. When the soul exited the system, a second soul appeared. The farther away it was from the Three Thousand Immortal Realms System, the stronger it became.

The second soul clinging to Tianyi’s soul was not a parasite. Quite the opposite. It was protecting Tianyi’s soul by using itself. Had it not done so, it was unlikely that Tianyi’s soul would have survived the journey through the True Nothingness to enter Mengfei’s body. Even after using up all its power to protect Tianyi and disintegrating into countless fragments of soul essence, it entered Tianyi’s soul and strengthened it, contributing to his talent and potential.

The Heavenly Will reached out. It plucked the second soul from Tianyi’s soul. For a moment, the second soul resisted. That was a feat in itself. Controlling spacetime, even divinities would be hard-pressed to resist, much less a mortal soul, yet it had done so. Granted, it was only for a split second; it was still no less impressive.

The reversion of time stopped and returned to normal. It sped up until the phantom figure returned to the era of the Nine Heavens Universe System. The Heavenly Will held out its hand and dropped the soul, causing it to fall toward the sun.

Upon contact, the sun did not incinerate the soul. Instead, a lick of flame covered the soul, encasing it like an egg. Divine essence filled this shell, nourishing the soul within. It was a slow and arduous process. Too fast, and the soul would burn into nothingness. Even when successfully strengthening the soul, large amounts of divine essence were lost, but it was a pittance to the Nine Heavens Universe System.

Slowly but surely, the soul would become increasingly more powerful until it broke out of its shell and became a congenital divinity of law. However, that would take hundreds of thousands of years, if not millions. Until then, the soul would continue to gestate.

After doing this, the eye disappeared from the phantom figure, leaving it with a completely featureless face. Then it grew blurry until it disappeared. Although the Pangu System and the Nine Heavens Universe seemed to have completely merged, the fusion was still incomplete. True fusion would take far longer.

Still, the cataclysmic war between Pangu and Tianyi had to come to a true end. The Heavenly Dao no longer existed, and in its place was the Heavenly Will. Although it had entered a dormant state, it would eventually awaken and bring forth a new era of prosperity for the cultivation world.

Future generations would refer to this era as the Nine Heavens Era, and the battle that birthed it as the Creation War of Nine Heavens.
