Chapter 1014 - 490: The Three-Year Promise—Time to Shake Things Up! (Part 4)

The sky here is not azure, but rather a boundless green canopy woven from countless enormous leaves.

Sunlight filters through the gaps between the leaves, transforming into millions of golden beams that speckle down onto the earth, creating a stunning and discordant collage of light and shadow.

The ground beneath is neither hard rock nor soft soil but a peculiar wood, warm and smooth as jade, exuding a light fragrance.

The air is filled with a rich essence of life, almost tangible, that invigorates every limb and bone with indescribable comfort just from a gentle breath.

In the distance, there are no towering mountains, only unimaginably large ancient trees reaching skyward; their crowns seem to support both heaven and earth.

Clear rivers meander through the roots of the ancient trees, carrying not ordinary water, but a fragrant Jadescent Nectar, the essence of a myriad trees.

This is the Supreme Pure Land, an independent realm outside All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds, established by countless top-tier Innate Spirit Roots from the Primordial World — the Spirit Root Great World.

"How is it? Pretty nice, right?"

Ling Zhuzi, with hands behind his back and chest puffed out proudly, appeared as if this was his own home.

"Let me tell you, this is a great place, and ordinary Immortals can't come in here even if they beg their grandfathers or grandmothers!"

Yang Chan was deeply struck by the scene before her; her small mouth slightly agape, and her bright eyes filled with amazement and wonder.

At that moment, a melodious and ancient bell sound suddenly echoed from the center of this world.

The bell seemed to carry some peculiar magic, causing the rhythm of life throughout the world to resonate with it.

Ling Zhuzi's expression shifted slightly; he listened intently for a moment, then a flicker of excitement sparked in his eyes.

"Ah! We came at the perfect time, rather than just early!"

He grabbed Yang Chan's hand, and without further ado, they flew toward the direction of the bell's sound.

"Hurry up! The highest meeting of the Spirit Root Committee is starting!"

"This is a once-in-a-millennium grand event; we must not miss it!"

They transformed into a streak of light, passing through gardens blooming with exotic flowers and herbs, and crossing streams flowing with the essence of life.

Finally, they arrived at the base of an immensely large ancient tree, beyond description.

The trunk of this tree was more majestic than the Kunlun Mountain Range, and its crown extended directly into the endless void, seemingly connecting All Heavens and Myriads of Worlds.

And the so-called meeting was held in the center of this ancient tree, in a grand and sacred hall naturally formed by the growth of the tree itself.

When Ling Zhuzi, with Yang Chan, quietly hid behind a huge leaf and peeked into the hall,

Yang Chan was instantly taken aback by the sight within, holding her breath in astonishment.

The spacious hall was already filled with figures.

All who had the right to participate in this meeting were renowned and powerful entities within the Primordial True Realm, whose mere presence could cause a realm to tremble.

On the left side of the hall sat several majestic beings embodying nature and the breath of life.

Leading them was an old man clad in simple hemp clothing, with a kind face and white hair and beard.

His body bore no powerful mana waves; he appeared just like an ordinary old farmer who had toiled in the fields all his life.

Yet in his eyes lay profound compassion and wisdom for all beings, as if he could see through the rise and fall of every blade of grass, penetrating the deepest mysteries of life.

This was one of the Three Sovereigns of the Human Race, the sage who tasted a hundred herbs and pioneered agriculture and medicine — the Shennong Clan.

Beside him sat a middle-aged Daoist with an immortal demeanor, wearing an earth-yellow Daoist robe and holding a jade horsetail whisk.

His eyes were slightly closed, his expression serene, and a mighty aura, one with the Earth, emanated from him.

He sat there quietly, yet seemed to be the stabilizing force of the entire Spirit Root Great World.

This was the Ancestor of Earth Immortals, the master of Longevity Mountain's Five Towns Temple, possessing the Innate Spirit Root Ginseng Fruit Tree, Immortal Zhen Yuanzi.

On the opposite side, the right side of the hall, sat some even more peculiar presences.

They were not in human form but had descended their incarnations in the form of their Spirit Root bodies.

Among them was a tree shrouded in immortal aura, its branches gnarled like dragons, laden with countless Immortal Peaches.

The Immortal Peach, with its shifting rosy glow and naturally formed Dao charm, was so fragrant that even a breath could make a mortal become an Immortal on the spot.

It was the Supreme Treasure of the Heavenly Court's Jade Pool, one of the Innate Ten Great Spiritual Roots — the Flat Peach Tree.

Another was a blue lotus rooted in Chaos.

The lotus had thirty-six grades, each leaf bearing the weight of an emerging universe, with Qi of Creation flowing magnificently, reaching an ultimate mysticism.

It was Pangu God's companion, the ancestor of all plants, the Creation Green Lotus.

In addition, there were Huang Zhongli, Fusang Wood, and a series of other top Spirit Roots that only existed in myth and legend, all present.

Yet, these formidable figures, whose footfalls could rock the Primordial, were currently solemn, their gazes respectful as they looked towards the main seat at the top of the hall.

There sat an existence shrouded in the utmost mystery.
