Chapter 767 - 778: Encounter with a Mudhorse

Situ Yan’s face changed, he quickly reached out his hand and shouted, "Hold on to me!" Xia Xiaonuan was at a loss, watching Situ Yan getting further and further away from her, completely flustered.Situ Yan changed his strategy, hurriedly said, "Press the button on the left!"

In panic, Xia Xiaonuan fumbled for a spot, the sound of wind howling around her like the cries of devils.

With trembling fingers, she pressed a button.

With a "swish" sound, the parachute opened!

Xia Xiaonuan called out in surprise, but then she discovered Situ Yan was nowhere to be seen.

"Situ Yan!" Xia Xiaonuan shouted, the speed of her descent began to slow down as she gently floated down.

It was pitch black all around, and she was covered by the parachute, unable to see the moonlight.

She instantly panicked.

At this moment, another gust of wind blew, she felt herself spin around, screamed in fright, then everything went black as she lost consciousness.

******

When she woke, there were bird sounds by her ear and warm wind brushing her cheeks.

Her entire body felt sore, as if she had been disassembled and then put back together.

Xia Xiaonuan opened her eyes, within the blurred white light, she saw a white object above her head, with large eyes and black lips.

She screamed "Ah—!", jumped up from the ground.

The creature beside her also seemed startled, leaping back several meters, still curiously watching her.

Taking a moment to steady herself, Xia Xiaonuan realized it was a cute little alpaca standing in front of her.

She clutched her chest and waved at it, "Hi..."

The alpaca had thick fur, looked chubby, and cast her a disinterested glance before turning to eat grass.

Xia Xiaonuan picked off some wild grass from herself and glanced around.

Below her was a grassy field, exuding the scent of lush vegetation.

In the distance, there was a row of trees whose names she couldn’t identify, and various blue and black birds flitting about.

Sunlight streamed down from above, it seemed to be morning, slightly warm.

Her knees hurt, and looking down, she saw her skirt was torn. Scrapes covered her knees, her right elbow was badly swollen.

Her shoes were completely gone.

She got up and looked around.

For a moment, her mind went blank, not understanding how she ended up here.

But after a few seconds, the memories of the previous events on the plane... the scene of her and Situ Yan parachuting came to her mind.

Her first reaction was that she was still alive!

Feeling like she had picked up another chance at life, she sighed in relief, a smile tugged at her lips, yet she frowned, looking around, "Where is this place? Where is Situ Yan?"

She pushed herself up and forcefully ripped off the damaged part of her skirt below the knees.

Limping, she began walking towards the distance, calling out Situ Yan’s name, hoping to find him soon.

However, after walking for ten minutes, drenched in sweat, she still found nothing. Apart from some small squirrels and two chasing foxes, there was no sign of Situ Yan or anyone.

Her stomach felt hollow, hungry and thirsty, forcing her to stop and wipe the sweat from her forehead. She needed to find something to eat and drink first; otherwise, she wouldn’t have the strength to carry on searching for Situ Yan.

Since there were small animals and the forest was lush, there should be a water source.
