The World's Greatest Troublemaker

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

"So he deserves to be rewarded."

Pyeon Jeoksu shook his head.

"If it were me, I'd rather find that money than get beaten up while asking for money."

"If it were you, yes. I probably would too."

But Heo Seongon didn't. He had done enough. It was Mok Wigun's creed to always give back as much as he received. So he would treat the child unconditionally.

"But it seems he's been wavering a bit lately."

Mok Wigun had someone check, and they said Heo Seongon had come by recently. And that he had hesitated, then just confirmed something and went back.

"Well, it was a bit strange. He must have something to rely on to be able to endure like that."

"Even so, it's amazing. It's not an easy thing to endure all that."

Even though his body must have been aching, Heo Seongon continued to carry the luggage. And people around him were constantly nagging him. Mok Wigun could tell from a distance that they were picking a fight.

Nevertheless, Heo Seongon just worked silently. He couldn't do that without affection for the merchant guild.

"I'll have to persuade him well. It's not easy to find a person like that."

"He was one of the people the madam trusted and entrusted with work."

The steward chimed in.

"But shouldn't we stop that?"

Pyeon Jeoksu said after watching the situation. When Mok Wigun turned his head, people were beating Heo Seongon.

Heo Seongon probably had never even thrown a punch. He was being beaten one-sidedly. But Steward Wang suddenly pointed somewhere.

"Ah. There!"

There, a woman who looked angry was walking with a child in her arms.

"It's Heo Seongon's wife and child, Young Master."

"Oh no. This is not good."

The timing was bad. Heo Seongon was being beaten up at that very moment. His wife, unaware of the situation, was walking quickly while stroking her child's head. Pyeon Jeoksu, who had good eyesight, muttered.

"That child looks limp."

"Has his illness gotten worse?"

If so, he needs to be treated quickly. Mok Wigun knew he was sick, but not to the point of being urgent. If his condition had worsened, this was not a situation to be leisurely. Mok Wigun also walked towards the merchant guild.

As the distance closed, he could also hear the wife and child talking.

"Mom. Where are we going?"

"We're going to see Dad."

"Dad?"

The child smiled faintly at the word 'dad'.

"This man. When is he going to bring the money?"

It was just as Mok Wigun had guessed. Heo Seongon had been unable to bring the money. But when the child's condition worsened, she couldn't stand it anymore and had run to where her husband worked.

"Oh dear."

The steward said, looking pitiful.

The wife, who was walking quickly with an angry expression, arrived in front of the merchant guild and saw her husband being beaten inside. And the child also witnessed the scene.

"Dad!"

The wife hugged the child tightly and turned her back. The sight they didn't want to see disappeared from their view. But they couldn't block out the sound.

Thwack! Thwack!

"Just do as you're told."

"Aren't you tired of being beaten every day? What do you have, a man whose body isn't even in good shape, to endure like this?"

Then someone seemed to recognize Heo Seongon's wife.

"Huh? Isn't that this man's wife?"

"I think so. There's a child too!"

"It is! It is! I've seen her a few times before, I'm sure of it."

Heo Seongon's expression, which had always seemed the same, changed.

"No."

"What do you mean, no? We wouldn't go this far if we could help it, but the situation is a bit urgent."

Even as they said that, the guys didn't stop the beating. They beat him mercilessly, whether his wife and child were there or not.

"Hey. You guys go get them."

The guy who looked like the leader pointed to the main gate with his chin. Two guys moved. Towards Heo Seongon's wife, who was standing at the entrance of the merchant guild. They walked through the merchant guild's courtyard, giggling.

In the meantime, the guys briefly stopped the beating and asked.

"How about it? Do you think you'll change your mind?"

"Cooperate quickly, won't you? Before you see something worse."

Belief and family. To Heo Seongon, both were more important than anything. He would protect them at all costs, even if he had to give up one. But if he had to choose between the two?

The answer was as good as decided. Because nothing is more important than family. But the situation of having to break his belief so miserably was so painful.

When he didn't answer easily, one of the guys shouted.

"Hey guys. Hurry up and bring the sister-in-law!"

The two guys moved quickly and soon arrived where the wife and child were. The guys reached out their hands towards the wife's shoulder. Heo Seongon hurriedly lifted his head and was about to speak. To tell them to stop. That he would cooperate, so stop.

But in his eyes, he saw someone other than the second young master's subordinates.

"You don't touch family."

Mok Wigun said as he slapped the guys' hands away.

"Who are you?"

The guys who had approached the wife didn't seem to know Mok Wigun's face.

"Me? The owner of this merchant guild."

"What nonsense."

The guy snorted, but Mok Wigun was a rather famous person. Of course, there were people who knew his face.

"Aren't you the Third Young Master?"

The man who seemed to be the leader of the guys said. At the words 'Third Young Master', the guys backed away. But Mok Wigun didn't even glance at them. His gaze was on the child.

"The baby seems to have a bit of a fever."

"Yes. He suddenly started vomiting and has a fever..."

Pyeon Jeoksu stepped up and examined the child.

"The fever isn't severe."

"For now, go somewhere else and get some treatment."

Mok Wigun said to the wife.

"This person is a physician. You've heard of Physician Pyeon Jeoksu, right?"

At the name Pyeon Jeoksu, the wife's eyes widened. She had also heard the rumor about Pyeon Jeoksu, who had saved a dead person.

"Are you really Physician Pyeon?"

"That's right. Let's move for now."

Pyeon Jeoksu took the wife and child and moved. Mok Wigun told the steward to take them to the nearest physician.

"There is a physician not far from here. I will quickly take them and come back."

"Go and talk to them well. I'll pay for it, so do everything that friend says."

"Of course."

The steward quickly followed. Only after handling the matter did Mok Wigun turn around. He saw the slightly nervous guys and Heo Seongon, whose face was much more relaxed.

"Where is the person in charge here?"

"Sir?"

"You don't know the person in charge? Guide me to where he is."

Everyone was standing there like dazed people, but the leader was a little better. He approached and said.

"Young Master. It's troublesome if you suddenly come and do this."

The corner of Mok Wigun's mouth went up slightly on one side.

"I'm not troubled. And I'm the owner of this merchant guild, so who are you guys?"

"We are the merchant guild's escort warriors."

"Oh? You were beating people up, so I thought you were thugs from a gambling den or guys who back up loan sharks."

The leader said with a rotten smile.

"Young Master. It's troublesome if you compare us to guys like that."

"Why are so many things so troublesome for you? Stop with the nonsense and guide me."

The leader tilted his head and sighed. He seemed a bit angry, clenching and unclenching his fists. If it were up to his personality, he would have already made a move.

But the opponent was the third young master of the Mok family. He suppressed his anger and said.

"This way, please."

He guided Mok Wigun to the inside of the building. And he stopped in front of a certain room.

"It's the Escort Captain. The Third Young Master has come, so I brought him."

"The Third Young Master? Hurry and show him in."

There was a brief rustling sound from inside. It seemed they were cleaning something up. The leader, quick-witted, gave them a moment and then guided him inside.

"Well, Young Master. What brings you here without any notice?"

There were two people inside. The guy who had dragged Heo Seongon in earlier and the guy who had talked to him later.

Their expressions were interesting. It was an expression of being uncomfortable with Mok Wigun. But they didn't seem particularly afraid or anxious.

'They look down on me, is that it?'

Well, considering what Mok Wigun had done so far, their faces were more than understandable. Besides, the fact that Mok Wigun had changed was not yet known.

"Is this a place I can only come to if I announce my arrival?"

The person in charge was at a loss for words at the blunt remark. In the meantime, Mok Wigun moved and looked around the room. He picked up things, looked at them, and put them down. He went to the desk and flipped through books and documents.

At that, the person in charge was startled and ran over.

"Young Master. You can't look at these documents carelessly."

Mok Wigun turned his head, looked at the person in charge, and said.

"Why? I'm the owner here."

"Uh. That's..."

The person in charge couldn't speak. It was because he was flustered, as this had never happened before. Mok Wigun didn't give him time and pushed on.

"I want to see the ledgers."

"The ledgers, you say? But which ledgers do you want?"

The person in charge answered with a sly smile.

"All of them."

"Oh my. That's troublesome."

Mok Wigun snickered.

"Why is everything so troublesome here whenever I say something? Is this the Troublesome Merchant Guild?"

The person in charge thought for a moment and then straightened his back. Looking at his expression, it seemed his thoughts had changed a bit. He had been flustered for a moment because he was being pushed, but it seemed he thought he didn't have to be.

Arrogance leaked from his expression and posture.

"It's because the Second Young Master is taking care of these things. The Young Master cannot see them."

"Oh? Aren't these the merchant guild's documents? But I still can't see them?"

The guy standing next to the person in charge chimed in.

"Young Master. Why are you doing this when you know everything?"

"We'll take care of you a little, though it's not much."

The person in charge held out a silk pouch. When Mok Wigun took it, it was quite heavy. Mok Wigun tossed it up and down a couple of times and then threw it back at the guy.

"I need to see the ledgers."

"Don't be like this. And do you even know how to read ledgers?"

The guy's face was full of ridicule. Mok Wigun took a step closer to the guy and said.

"Why do you care about that?"

"Sir?"

Mok Wigun grabbed the guy's ear.

"Hey. I'm acting like an idiot, so I look like a pushover, right?"

"Ah. Aaaah!"

When he pressed and pulled his ear, the guy screamed. The guy next to him and the guy who was the escort captain just fidgeted, not knowing what to do.

"No, sir. How could we."

Mok Wigun shook his ear wildly.

"What do you mean, no. It's written all over your face."

The guy who was the escort captain approached and tried to grab his arm. But when he moved using his footwork, he missed. The guy tried to stop Mok Wigun, and Mok Wigun grabbed the person in charge's ear and avoided the escort captain's hand.

The escort captain was repeatedly blocked by the person in charge and couldn't lay a hand on Mok Wigun. When he gave a signal with his eyes, the guy next to him also helped.

But Mok Wigun's movements were very skillful. Even with the two of them moving, they couldn't catch Mok Wigun.

"Aaaah!!"

The person in charge screamed, and the two guys tried to catch Mok Wigun. Mok Wigun grabbed the person in charge's ear, moved here and there, pushed him forward, and pulled him back. The room was a crucible of chaos.

"Aiko."

Then, when he suddenly pushed him away, the person in charge tumbled to the floor. Mok Wigun squatted down in front of the person in charge and asked.

"It's your own merchant guild, but you can't say anything even when it's taken away. So I look like a pushover, right?"
