Chapter 1415: Intermission 5: The Stalking Girl (7)

"What do you think is good about Ella, Leon?" Charlotte asked again, leaning forward slightly like she had been waiting for the chance to ask that from the very beginning.

The grin on her face already told me she was planning something stupid with this conversation.

"Well..." I said, glancing toward Ella for a second before answering. "Her body’s nice, and I think her breasts are pretty big too. She’s also got a really cute face. Honestly, I feel like she’s exactly my type."

The moment those words left my mouth, Charlotte immediately lit up like she had just won something.

"Did you hear that, Ella? Leon said you’re his type," she said excitedly, grinning from ear to ear.

Meanwhile, Ella looked like she was on the verge of short-circuiting.

Her cheeks turned bright red almost instantly, and the color only kept spreading higher and higher across her face. At this point, it genuinely looked like steam was about to rise from her head. She looked one second away from collapsing out of pure embarrassment alone.

"S-Stop, please, Charl..." Ella said weakly.

Her voice sounded so small compared to Charlotte’s teasing energy that it almost made things worse for her. She kept avoiding eye contact too, glancing away whenever either of us looked at her directly.

Charlotte, on the other hand, looked even more entertained now.

Actually, "entertained" was putting it lightly. She looked like she had discovered her new favorite hobby.

Honestly, I couldn’t even blame her that much.

Ella really was cute when she got embarrassed.

The way she tried to hide her face while still listening to the conversation made it painfully obvious she wasn’t actually trying to leave. If anything, she looked like she wanted the teasing to stop while secretly wanting to hear more at the same time. It was the kind of reaction that made teasing someone way too easy.

Poor girl never stood a chance against Charlotte.

"Well, now that we’re already this deep into the conversation..." I muttered.

I reached beside me and placed the wine bottle I bought earlier from Foriel onto the table.

The glass made a soft sound the moment it touched the surface, instantly drawing both of their attention toward it.

"What’s that, Leon?" Charlotte asked curiously.

"It’s wine."

"It’s not Leonamon."

Charlotte blinked at the bottle a few more times, clearly confused.

That reaction made sense though. Leonamon wine was the one produced by my company, and it was also the drink I usually had around me most of the time. Seeing me bring out a completely different bottle probably caught her off guard.

The surprise on her face became even more obvious when she leaned closer to inspect the label.

"It’s a wine I bought earlier," I explained. "I got curious about what it tastes like."

"Hmmm..." Charlotte hummed thoughtfully. "I don’t think I’ve ever seen this before."

Coming from someone from nobility, that honestly made the bottle feel way more expensive than I originally thought. Charlotte knew a ridiculous amount about wines already, probably more than most merchants. If even she hadn’t seen it before, then this thing was definitely rare.

"T-That’s a wine brewed in the East," Ella suddenly spoke up.

Both of us turned toward her.

She looked slightly nervous after suddenly joining the conversation again, but she still continued talking.

"Most of them are sold there," she explained softly. "And I heard they’re brewed for a hundred years before they’re finally put on sale."

"A hundred years?" I repeated.

That honestly sounded insane.

A whole century spent brewing alcohol. At that point, the wine practically had more life experience than some people.

The level of patience needed for that was ridiculous.

"Yes," Ella nodded lightly. "And I think they’re sold for around a thousand gold coins per bottle."

"That expensive?"

I stared at the bottle again for a second.

Suddenly, opening it felt dangerous to my wallet even though I already bought it.

"They’re also made from a fruit that can excite anyone who eats it," Ella continued carefully. "So it basically acts as an aphrodisiac too. Although, I heard they stopped making them because they take too long to brew."

"I see..." I muttered quietly.

That explained a lot.

Charlotte slowly looked back at the bottle before glancing toward me again. Then a teasing smile started forming on her face once more.

That smile was usually a bad sign for somebody.

"You know a lot about it, Ella," Charlotte said. "Don’t tell me you actually like wine?"

"I-I do," Ella admitted nervously, "but that’s not why I know all this. I just read a lot of historical records and books about things that seemed interesting to learn."

"I see..." Charlotte hummed.

The way she dragged those words out made it pretty obvious she was still planning to tease her anyway.

Then Charlotte suddenly shifted her attention toward me again.

"But more importantly..." she said slowly, resting her chin against her hand. "An aphrodisiac, huh?"

I already knew where this was going.

"Are you planning to get us drunk with that and have us all horny for you tonight, Leon?"

"H-Huh?!" Ella squeaked instantly.

Her face somehow turned even redder than before, which honestly shouldn’t have been physically possible anymore.

She clearly understood the implication immediately.

After all, the situation itself wasn’t exactly subtle anymore. I brought an expensive wine with aphrodisiac effects for the three of us to drink together. Anyone with functioning thoughts could figure out where things were probably heading.

"Well..." I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly. "I was planning to mention the aphrodisiac part eventually, but..."

"So that really was your plan?" Charlotte asked, sounding way too amused.

Ella looked completely overwhelmed now.

Her eyes kept darting between the two of us while she sat there quietly, almost like she was trying to mentally process whether she should panic, run away, or accept her fate. The poor girl looked like her brain had reached maximum capacity already.

Still, despite all that embarrassment, she never actually rejected the idea.

That part stood out to me.

Honestly, it felt like she wanted something to happen but didn’t know how to take the first step herself. The hesitation in her expression made that pretty obvious.

At that point, I figured I should just push things forward myself.

"Well, yes," I admitted honestly. "If Ella allows me, then I’m planning to spend tonight with both of you."

The instant I said that, Ella visibly trembled.

Her shoulders shook slightly, and her breathing hitched for a moment. The reaction was so obvious that even Charlotte noticed immediately.

Still, despite how embarrassed she looked, there was also a kind of shy acceptance in her eyes now.

Slowly, after several long seconds of silence, Ella gave a small nod.

That tiny movement somehow felt more impactful than if she had shouted the answer out loud.

So she was allowing it.

Well... I guess that finally broke the awkward wall between us.

Honestly, this whole situation felt pretty unorthodox. Things had escalated way faster than I originally expected tonight. Then again, circumstances had already pushed things to this point naturally.

Sometimes you just had to make a move before the atmosphere disappeared completely.

Charlotte suddenly clapped her hands together lightly.

"Then should we head to an inn?" she suggested cheerfully. "I think it’d make for a much more romantic experience if we drink it there instead, right?"

Honestly, she adapted to this situation way too fast.

Meanwhile, Ella looked like she was still trying to recover from the fact that this conversation had become real.

"You don’t have to worry about that," I said calmly.

Both of them looked toward me.

"I already reserved a room."
