The Unwanted Mate

Chapter 91

Calvin put the omega on the bed and tucked him in before going to the bathroom.

He decided to brush his teeth and take off his shirt before getting back into bed with his mate. Rain immediately snuggled into his chest, rubbing his cheeks against the warm skin of his mate as he slept.

Calvin couldn't help but smile while he gently threaded his fingers through the boy's hair.

Rain was slim, not so much but just the right size to fit in his arms. He has milky white skin and it made his red cheeks stand out whenever he blushed.

The omega had plump lips which were often red and swollen from his nervous bitings.

Calvin couldn't believe how he never noticed these things before.

The boy was breathtakingly beautiful.

He just couldn't take his eyes off him.

The beta slowly caressed his mate's sides.

His mate looked so peaceful.

The beta clenched his fist and closed his eyes when what he said to the omega in the past suddenly flashed through his mind.

'I feel bad for whoever it is going to be his mate,'

'Get your filthy hands off me, bastard!'

'Disgusting,'

Calvin grunted, regretting his own words. He hurt the omega badly.

Most of Rain's childhood was ruined by him and his insecurities might be the result of the bullying he did to the boy.

He called him 'disgusting' numerous times.

Calvin looked down at his mate. Rain looked like an angel. There wasn't a single thing disgusting about him.

If anything, he was the disgusting one.

He cursed under his breath. "What the hell was I thinking?" He laid back on the pillow with a heavy sigh.

Calvin looked down again when he felt the omega flinching.

Rain was tossing around and whimpering like he was in distress. He was calling out his name along with Josh's and it seemed like he was going to cry.

The boy twisted and turned, whispering no again and again.

Calvin stared at him confused for a moment before he jumped into action and tried to shake the omega awake.

He was having a nightmare.

And whatever it was, it was scaring the hell out of the boy.

Calvin tried to hold Rain still who was sobbing and thrashing around.

"Rain…. Wake up, " He tried to shake the boy awake.

But the omega didn't and he kept saying no again and again as he cried.

Calvin sat up.

He needed to wake him up immediately.

"Rain! " He pulled the boy up. "Wake up!" He shook him a little hard and Rain gasped as he opened his eyes.

He frantically looked around in confusion and then sat up when he saw Calvin look at him worriedly.

"Calvin! " The omega cried, hugging his mate tightly. "Y-You're okay? Are you hurt?" He asked, checking the beta's body for any wounds.

Calvin was confused but he quickly tried to calm the omega. "Rain… I'm okay. Everything is fine. You were having a nightmare, "

"They-They killed Josh… and they were going to hurt you… T-They laughed at me because I-I couldn't do anything. I was just—"

"It was just a nightmare. No one would hurt us now. Don't worry, okay? It's all over, " He gently pushed the omega to lay on the bed.

Rain calmed down when his mate's sandalwood pheromones hit him. He let Calvin wipe away his tears.

"I-I got so scared….It felt so real…"

"I understand," Calvin smiled. "Nightmares can be like that. Don't worry,"

The beta laid next to his mate and softly caressed his cheek.

They looked into each other's eyes for a minute before Rain turned red like a tomato.

Calvin took a deep breath. "I…I wanted to apologize to you for a long time…. I know an apology can't excuse it but… I regret saying all those mean things to you in the past… " He sighed. "I was an asshole then and you're not any of the mean names I've called you…. You're beautiful… "

"W-What? "

"I said you're beautiful, " Calvin repeated while tucking in a strand of hair that fell into the omega's face.

"I-I'm not… I'm just normal—"

"No. You're breathtaking. It took me a while to notice… but I like a lot of things about you…" The beta chuckled. "I like it when you smile and your eyes disappear. Your cheeks look like peaches when you blush. Sometimes I want to take a bite out of it, " He laughed.

The omega only blushed more and hit his mate's chest before hiding his face. He was speechless.

"Your skin is so smooth like you're made of porcelain and I like your laughs. It's so soothing to listen to. You're always so energetic and happy even when you're hurting… I like that strong side of you… But you don't need to be like that anymore… You don't have to wear a fake smile. You can tell me when you're hurting, okay? I'll try my best to make you happy…" Calvin leaned in and placed a soft kiss on the boy's forehead.

Rain was silent for a moment before he spoke up. "Calvin… Are you-Are you sure you're not saying this because you pity me? "

Calvin took the boy's face into his hands and made him look up into his eyes. "Rain, I love you… " He breathed out, leaving the omega speechless.

"C-Calvin, don't play—"

"I'm not playing. I love you so much that it physically hurts me to think about what I did to you in the past. I can't think about a future without you. I can't bear to see you hurt. I just want to protect you all the time even if you hate me, "

Rain looked at his mate wide eyed. They stayed silent for a minute before Calvin's eyes trailed down to the omega's parted lips.

His fingers gently caressed it. "C-Can I? "

Rain was red as a cherry and before he could even nod in reply Calvin's lips were on his.

The omega gasped in surprise and clutched his mate's shoulder. That was only when he noticed the beta was shirtless.

Calvin wrapped his arm around the boy and pulled him closer as he deepened the kiss.

The omega's lips felt so good. It was soft and plump as he imagined it would be. The little moans Rain let out whenever his tongue brushed the roof of the omega's mouth made him want to do even more things to him.

His fingers threaded the boy's soft hair as he kissed him more.

"Ngh~" Rain moaned when he felt his mate's hands caress his body.

Calvin's hand stopped when it reached the boy's bottom. He had to admit that the omega had a bubble butt. It felt so soft and plump that he just couldn't help but squeeze it.

Rain yelped in surprise and Calvin instantly apologized when he realized what he had done.

"S-Sorry! I just—I just did it—"

"I-It's okay…" Rain cut him off. "I was-I was just surprised… "

Both of them were a stuttering mess.

Calvin caressed his mate's cheeks. "You're not mad? "

"I'm not… " Rain softly touched his mate's hand. "You're my mate… It feels good when you touch me… "

Calvin froze for a moment before he chuckled. "If you keep saying things like this, I might end up doing things…. And I don't know if you're ready for it,"

Rain licked his life lips nervously before looking away.

"I told you... I-I like it when you touch me… so I'll be okay…"
