"You brought fewer hunters than I expected. By any chance, did you really underestimate us? " Keiran smirked as he turned towards the vampire.

Victor couldn't help but let out a snort. "Underestimate you? " He raised a brow. "If anything, I only overestimated you. You and your inexperienced little warriors could be dealt within a day, "

"Really? " The alpha scoffed. "Your words don't really match what you're saying right because all I'm seeing is your hunters struggling in the air, " He chuckled.

Victor looked up and gritted his teeth at the scene in front of him. "That damn bitch! " He cursed and turned to move towards Evelyn but Keiran caught the vampire before he could take two steps.

*Slam*

"I told you, you can't touch her when I'm here, " The alpha gripped the man's neck.

Victor grunted. The alpha really had a problem with slamming people to the ground.

"Then I'll deal with you first, "

Keiran groaned when the vampire pushed him off.

"Derned! Deal with that damn omega! " Victor screamed before focusing back on Keiran.

Keiran punched the vampire's chin, causing his eyes to turn dark.

The alpha's eyes flashed red. "Do not insult my mate like that—"

*Punch*

"—ever again! "

The vampire fell back with a thud.

"Huh? Are you mad? " Victor smirked. He sat up, looking at the werewolf challengingly. "If you're already like this over me calling her a bitch, then I think you would lose your mind when you'll see what I'm gonna make her do, "

"You'll do nothing! " The alpha spat. "You're all talk and nothing big, " He glared at the man in front of him. "You'll die before you can even lay a finger on her, "

Fuck! That damn alpha isn't leaving Victor alone!

I should take care of his mate. She's causing quite a ruckus.

Derned charged towards Evelyn furiously but before he could reach her, Calvin was in front of him.

The beta charged towards him like a sphere, slamming him to the nearby tree.

"Calvin, behind you! "

Josh shouted frantically as he ran towards Calvin. The next thing they heard was an ear-splitting scream of a vampire.

"Good thing I threw my knife in time or you would have been dead meat, "

Calvin looked at the panting Josh in front of him.

"Thank you, " He breathed out, surprised at what just happened.

"I'll guard your back. Do the same for me. These fuckers are backstabbers! " Josh stood behind Calvin with his back facing him.

He quickly loaded bullets into his gun before firing at the hunters moving towards him.

Derned picked up his speed. Two betas were hard to handle so he had to use his speed to his advantage.

Attacking Calvin from the front would be suicidal so Derned chose to distract him first.

He moved fast and circled around them, throwing knives and blades in their direction. However, the betas had sharp senses. They blocked all his advances.

"Catch a knife and throw it back at him, " Calvin said to Josh. "I'm sure it's poisoned, "

"Good idea, "

Josh ducked and tried to catch a knife. After some tries, he finally caught one that was aimed at him.

"Careful! Don't cut yourself with that! "

"I didn't. I'm gonna aim for his legs. Shoot his head when he slows down. We can knock him out like that, "

"Got it, "

"Now! "

The beta threw his knife in an instant, aiming for the vampire's leg.

Derned shouted in pain at the surprise attack, his legs trembling and losing balance for a minute.

Calvin didn't wait to take advantage of this moment. He took out his gun and fired it right away, the bullet piercing the side of the vampire's head.

Derned screamed in pain and stumbled before falling to the ground with a thud.

The betas panted, looking down at the Vampire.

"He's down, " Calvin said breathlessly.

He isn't dead but he won't be waking up for a long time.

"You bitch, stop using your fucking spells! " A hunter, who seemed like a werewolf, advanced towards Evelyn furiously.

The girl turned towards him with a small smile, lifting him to the air. "Don't be so mean, " She pouted. "Don't you know how to treat a lady? You should give her flowers not cuss at her, "

"Flowers?! Why the fuck would I give that to a damn bitch like you?! Let me down and I'll show you my ways of treating a lady, " He smirked.

Evelyn tilted her head. "So you don't like giving flowers? Then how about receiving them? "

"What? " The man raised a brow.

"I'll give you some flowers. Please accept them kindly, " The omega smiled as she slowly lowered the hunter to the ground.

The man stared down at the ground with wide eyes as he watched vines sprouting from the snow-covered ground.

"I-Impossible! " He shouted unbelievably.

"No dear, " Evelyn chuckled as the hunter started to struggle when the vines gripped his legs. "The forest is my territory— " She smiled while watching the vines swirl around the man and creep towards his neck. "—anything is possible here, "

The shifter made choking noises as the vines tightened around his neck. He thrashed around and tried to get out of its hold but they were stronger and more difficult than a barbed wire.

The omega smiled as the vine started sprouting flowers on it.

"Do you like them? " She tilted his head, looking at the man choking in front of her.

The helpless eyes staring back at her almost made Evelyn retreat the vines. But he was no good person.

He was here to hurt her and her pack.

He probably had done this to too many people before.

He doesn't deserve any sympathy.

Right now he was a threat.

A threat she needed to eliminate.

The hunter fell to the ground.

His neck black and blue.
