Chapter 51
Chapter 51
"You think you can defeat me? " Derned chuckled and tilted his head. Amusement shining in his eyes.
"I don't think that… " Keiran scoffed. "I know it, " The alpha smirked.
"Hunters… " Derned whispered, his voice low and monstrous.
Keiran saw some shadowy figures emerging from the dark. They stopped before stepping into the light, patiently waiting for their leader's order.
"Wow… you've prepared quite a show, " The alpha laughed.
"Well, of course, I have to impress you after all, " The man let out a low chuckle.
"Impress me? A blood sucking demon like you? Not a chance, " Keiran scoffed.
"We'll see about that, " Derned grinned before his expression suddenly turned dark. "Let the hunt begin! " The man's scratchy voice boomed in the woods and his followers charged towards the warriors with a roar.
"Warriors!" Keiran shouted, giving them a heads up before running towards Derned with his eyes glowing blood red.
The alpha took out his pistol loaded with silver bullets. A perfect weapon against vampires.
He pointed it at the man but Derned was too fast.
"You know I'm faster than the bullets, right? "
Keiran heard the vampire's mocking laugh. He couldn't pinpoint where the man was as he was moving too fast.
'Fuck!' Keiran cursed inwardly. He was just wasting bullets at this point because he couldn't even see the vampire.
He put the gun back in his pocket. It's no good to use it now.
The alpha stood there for a second, acting confused.
It was a trap. A trap to get the vampire close to him.
"So you're gonna run around like a coward? " Keiran asked, looking around.
And in a few seconds, he was pinned to the nearest tree with the vampire's hands around his neck.
The alpha's plan worked successfully.
"I told you I'm faster than you, " Derned tightened his grip around Keiran's neck.
A small smirk formed on the alpha's lips. "But I am smarter than you, " He chuckled.
It only took Keiran a second to beat the vampire so hard that his face met the floor.
He sat on top of Derned and grabbed the man's pale neck, his claws digging into the flesh and drawing the dark maroon-colored blood of the vampire.
Derned's eyes widened and then his pupils suddenly turned white as he stared at Keiran's eyes.
"That hypnotizing shit won't work with me but go on, " The alpha shrugged.
The vampire suddenly turned to the left and Keiran didn't even have any time to react before someone hit him with a long metal bat that sent him flying off of Derned.
The alpha gritted his teeth as he looked at the guy who hit him. It was one of the hunters and it looked like he was being controlled by Derned.
His eyes were pure white and wide like he was shocked while he walked towards Keiran with the iron bat.
The alpha dipped down and skillfully avoided the blow when the hunter swung his bat again. He successfully took the small silver blade that was hidden in his boots and threw it straight towards the vampire's chest.
An ear-splitting scream echoed in the woods as the blade pierced into the hunter's heart.
Derned stopped coughing and glared at the alpha. "How dare you touch my hunter, you dog?! " He stood up, fuming.
"Actually, I didn't even touch him, " Keiran looked back at the motionless body on the ground. "But oh well, he's dead now, " He shrugged.
Derned's eyes turned pure black as he gritted his teeth. The vampire moved fast like a wind, delivering a blow to Keiran's stomach.
He pinned the alpha to the nearest tree. "I'm going to rip your throat and drink your stinky blood, mutt! " He roared.
But Keiran was fast too. He moved quickly and hit the vampire's head with his before delivering a hard blow to his abdomen.
Derned flew and hit the ground with the alpha following suit. But before the alpha could hit his face again, the vampire gripped his collar and flipped them over.
Derned took a small bottle from his pocket. It was filled with a dark green liquid.
The vampire smiled menacingly as he flipped off the bottle cap.
"It's over, Keiran, " He whispered in the alpha's ear. "I hope you find a place in hell, "

"Evelyn," Scarlett called as he walked up to the omega. "Stop pacing around like that, dear. You should go and take a rest in your room, " She sighed.
"Scarlett, how can you be so calm? I can't even stay still. He's out there fighting… what if something happens? " The girl muttered worriedly.
"We're all worried, dear. We're just good at hiding it. You know there are many pack members here with us. We have to stay strong. If we panic, then they'll panic too, " Scarlett tried to calm the omega.
She was worried too but she was sure Keiran would win. He's one of the strongest alpha's in the world after all.
"I'm sorry, Scarlett. But I'm not going to my room. I'll die from worry if I do that, " Evelyn shook her head. "I'll just stay here and wait for him to come back, "
Scarlett sighed. "Evelyn, you don't—"
"Please, Scarlett… " The omega cut off her mother-in-law. Her hands and lips were trembling as she looked at Scarlett.
Scarlett rubbed her temples. "Just don't worry too much. He'll be alright, " She patted the girl's head before walking back upstairs.

Evelyn shot up from her seat as soon as she heard the frantic knocks on the door. The omega ran up to the entrance and opened the door to see a nervous and sweating pack member.
"What? What happened?" The omega asked, her heart beating in her chest like a ticking time bomb.
"Luna… the alpha is poisoned… It's very bad...He-He might not survive, "
