This usually means that one holds a person in such high regard that they clean their house before the person arrives, waiting for them.

He never considered that Mr. Yancey and Candice Yancey’s visit today had anything to do with Nathalie.
He thought that if Mr. Yancey and Candice had come, it was surely to give face to Amadeus Yancey; if Amadeus had asked them, they could not refuse.
Now, hearing Mr. Yancey’s tone, it appeared that Mr. Yancey and Candice knew Nathalie privately and held her in high regard; otherwise, Amadeus would definitely not have used the phrase "sweeping the floor in preparation."

After Nathalie finished her phone call, she was going to suggest maybe she should just stay in a hotel.
Amadeus Yancey had already wrapped an arm around her shoulder, his tone soothing, "Let’s go, I’ve already spoken to your uncle. You’ll stay with me for now."
"So soon?" Nathalie didn’t expect him to settle it so quickly.
She looked up subconsciously towards Leonardy Zachmann.
Leonardy’s lips were tightly drawn, his emotions unreadable. Seeing her look over, he twisted his mouth awkwardly and with indifferent scrutiny, he awkwardly said, "Yes, we talked a bit."
Without further thought, Nathalie looked away, uttered an "Oh," then walked over and handed Leonardy a small bottle containing the same small pills, not as many as in the glass bottle she gave Mr. Zachmann, but still five or six.
She looked perfectly normal, handed Leonardy the bottle and said, "This is for your uncle. At your age, one pill every month or two should suffice."
Holding the small bottle she had given him, Leonardy was at a loss for words.
Seeing her give not only Mr. Zachmann but also her own husband the same unbranded product, Celine Tucker’s eyes twitched. With Sadam Vinson and the others there and after having her face slapped figuratively before, she did not dare speak out, though her disdain was obvious and could not be concealed.

After handing it over, Nathalie pulled on her hat brim, not caring whether he would take it or not, merely saying, "It’s for strengthening the body, it’s good for your health."
Sadam Vinson had seen the small pills in the glass bottle twice, inspecting it from every angle but couldn’t tell what it was.
If he couldn’t tell, Govert Griffin and the others were even more in the dark about what Nathalie had given to the Zachmann Family.
They simply assumed it was the same sort of ’health product’ from McKinney that Nathalie had mentioned.
Only Amadeus Yancey and Alfred Garland recognized what that thing was.
Amadeus Yancey was okay, showing no superfluous reaction.
Alfred Garland, however, upon seeing Nathalie return from a phone call and give the Zachmann Family a bottle of small pills, twitched violently and stared at the casually held bottles in Leonardy’s hands with envy.
Two bottles!
One with around twenty pills.
The other with five or six!
Now that the black market was out of stock and the last time the Young Lady had to pull strings to get a single pill, spending an eight-figure sum, just how much money would the two casually given bottles by Ms. Quinlan be worth?
Money is a minor concern.
But comparing it to Celine Tucker’s insistence on booking a business hotel for Ms. Quinlan, it seemed to highlight that the Zachmann Family may not be worthy.
