The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 806: Not from McKinney, Perhaps from Beijing

Chapter 806: Not from McKinney, Perhaps from Beijing

Nathalie Quinlan really wasn’t a high-profile person.

At least most of the time, she seemed indifferent and aloof, uninterested in everything.

As long as no one, like the Quinlan Family, repeatedly crossed her boundaries and got in her face, Amadeus Yancey rarely saw her deal with anyone.

If she didn’t care, naturally, she wouldn’t provoke anyone!

So, what was Freddy Cagwin talking about with the people he mentioned?

Amadeus Yancey squinted his eyes. Since the incident with Jecksen Wilmar, almost no one in McKinney dared to mess with Nathalie Quinlan.

If not from McKinney, could it be... someone from Beijing?

Audrick Zachmann noticed the sudden change in his aura, as the temperature in the villa seemed to plummet. He furrowed his brows, no longer lounging on the sofa. He stood up and walked over, asking, "What’s wrong? Whose phone call was that?"

It couldn’t be Nathalie’s, could it?

He looked puzzled at the expression on the man’s face and felt that something was off with Amadeus Yancey’s expression; it definitely wasn’t a call from Nathalie.

He was just about to ask more.

When he saw the man move, his tone carried the foreboding scent of a storm brewing, playing with the Buddhist beads on his wrist, his eyelids drooped, full of fierce energy: "When you called her, did she say where she was?"

Freddy Cagwin replied, "No, Nathalie didn’t say. I was just about to ask her, but she hung up the phone, and I didn’t get a chance to ask."

"Okay." Amadeus didn’t show any disappointment. Freddy knew best, and not knowing didn’t make a difference. He said indifferently, "I understand, thank you. I’ll let you know if there’s any news."

Audrick Zachmann heard him thanking someone over the phone; it was like seeing a ghost.

Amadeus’s ’thank you’ was like the last meal before execution; whenever he said those words, someone was about to have bad luck.

"What exactly happened? What’s going on?" Audrick initially asked nonchalantly, not really concerned, but now he couldn’t help but worry, his heart lifting in apprehension.

Amadeus Yancey didn’t explain what happened right away but called Simon Cadwell to inform him briefly about the situation, asking him to check if there was a disturbance at the entrance of the City Hospital.

Meanwhile, he strode back to the living room, picked up the coat on the sofa, and as he walked out, he said, "Nathalie’s classmate just called, saying she was blocked at the City Hospital by some hooligans. I’m heading there now."

"Damn! What’s going on? How did Nathalie get involved with these people? Who called them?" Audrick Zachmann immediately became anxious, following him, and without a second word: "Wait for me, I’m coming too!"

Alfred Garland, hearing their conversation, quickly went out to get the car ready.

Amadeus Yancey had just gotten into the car when Audrick Zachmann sat down in the passenger seat.

The car had just started when the scenery on both sides of the road quickly receded. In the quiet of the car, Amadeus Yancey’s phone rang again.

He lifted his wrist, his gaze slightly cold.

It was a call from Simon Cadwell.

He picked up the phone, put it to his ear, his tone as cold as the dead of winter, without any warmth: "What’s the situation? Did you find out?"

Ever since Simon received his call, he dared not delay. He left a conference in the middle, immediately notifying his subordinates to investigate.

Now, he was also hurriedly heading towards the City Hospital.

As he rushed into his car, he reported to the man on the other end of the phone, "I found out, Mr. Yancey."

"The Jurisdiction Police Station near the City Hospital received a call from the public, reporting a fight at the hospital entrance. The police have responded and taken everyone involved back to the station. I specifically asked if there was a girl among those taken, and they mentioned that one girl and seven or eight hooligans were brought back to the station together."
