The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 663: Raise My Submachine Gun_1

Chapter 663: Raise My Submachine Gun_1

Amadeus Yancey never touches offal; last time we went to eat spicy hotpot, he didn’t even add duck blood, but now he turned his head, looking very calm, and said to Alfred Garland, "Serve me a bowl."

Seeing the determination on the boss’s face, Alfred Garland didn’t say anything else and silently dished him a bowl from the thermal container.

Nathalie Quinlan had just entered the game; she changed her pose, draping her long legs over the side, resting her elbow on the armrest of the sofa, propping up her chin, and refocused her attention on her phone.

She had just entered the game.

A team invitation notification popped up on her screen.

Nathalie Quinlan saw the name, "Raise Your Submachine Gun", an ID that seemed familiar. She thought for a moment before remembering it was Sadam Vinson’s gaming ID.

She didn’t accept it; she tapped on decline.

She had just refused the in-game team invite, the next second she received a WhatsApp message from that person.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t like being disturbed while playing games, especially by messages, but Sadam Vinson was Amadeus Yancey’s friend, so she thought about it and still temporarily exited the game interface, tolerating it long enough to open WhatsApp.

Sadam Vinson’s message was at the top.

Three messages.

Nathalie opened them.

[Nathalie, are you playing the game? Why not join the team?]

[Come play with us, I’m free right now, I’ll take you to win~!]

[Was it a slip of the finger? I received a notification that you declined the team invite. I’ll add you again, come quickly. Govert Griffin is also here, along with two other friends, so with you, we have five people for a squad match to win the chicken dinner.]

Nathalie Quinlan originally had no intention of joining them, and even less so when she heard that strangers would be involved. She replied to the message with lowered eyes and a casual tone.

[QN: I’m only playing one round and then I’m off. Let’s not this time; we can make plans again later.]

Quite decisive.

Concise and to the point.

No beating around the bush.

Sadam Vinson was probably holding his phone and watching; as soon as she sent her message, his nickname changed to "typing".

It wasn’t long before Sadam Vinson’s new message came in.

He wasn’t clinging.

[Alright, then next time. I was thinking it’d be perfect since I saw you online. You had some good moves last time. Do you play PC games? I’ll take you sometime, it’s much more fun than mobile games.]

Nathalie Quinlan occasionally played games, not many though.

But she had played and had accounts in basically all the popular games nowadays. Before she transferred to McKinney No. 1 Middle School, she had more time and thus spent more time playing games.

Since her fallout with the Quinlan family and after transferring schools, she got busier and hadn’t touched anything for entertainment in a long time.

It was just recently, at Shawn Norton’s birthday party, that she played games for the first time in a very long time.

But games are truly addictive; once you play them again, it’s hard to resist the itch.

Nathalie Quinlan, with drooping eyelashes, replied to his question, then stopped looking at WhatsApp messages and re-entered the game, starting a match on her own.

Playing by herself, Nathalie Quinlan enjoyed the game thoroughly.

Her fingers moved fluidly as she controlled her character, kicking down doors, changing guns, looting, driving, finding angles to snipe – the whole process was seamless, without a hitch, and in the end, the others in her team literally lay back and won the game.

As one round finished, someone invited her for a duo match.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t accept any, hitting decline on all of them.

Before she could exit the game, Shawn Norton’s phone call came through.

Nathalie Quinlan quit the game annoyed, picked up the call, placing the phone to her ear. As she had just played a round, her voice was slightly hoarse, with a hint of nasal tone, "Hello?"
