Chapter 546: Going in now means three to five years

Chapter 546: Going in now means three to five years

Nathalie Quinlan took her medication and drank half a cup of hot milk, which soon made her sleepy. With Alfred Garland intentionally driving the car very smoothly, she leaned back on the rear seat, her eyes half-closed, and within a short while, she fell asleep.

As a result, she didn’t see her phone light up.

Amadeus Yancey, however, did notice her phone’s screen light up, with the words "Uncle Sullivan" flashing on it.

She usually had only a few people around her, other than the A-class members, there were only Silvania Ingram, Owen Yapiter, and other such individuals, and there was only one elder with the surname Shen.

Myles Sullivan.

Amadeus Yancey picked up the phone, glanced down, and pressed the power button. After a short while, the flickering screen stopped flashing and went completely dark.

He placed the phone back where it was, took off his jacket, and gently draped it over the shoulder of the person who was asleep, then said to Alfred Garland who was driving, "Drive slower, take a loop around before heading back."

Alfred Garland, looking through the rearview mirror at the person sleeping beside him, nodded. Without needing to be told, he lowered his voice and quietly said, "Okay, I’ll take this route and make a couple more loops to let Ms. Quinlan sleep a bit longer."

Amadeus Yancey gazed at the peaceful sleeping face of the person beside him and, as if reminded of something, suddenly said lazily, "Tell Simon Cadwell to inform the Wilmar family that Jecksen Wilmar is now locked up and at most would face three to five years. If they keep dragging this out, wasting time, it’s uncertain whether Jecksen can ever get out."

Alfred Garland guessed that he was displeased, nodded without hesitation, and made a phone call to Simon Cadwell. Using his Bluetooth headset, he lowered his voice and relayed Amadeus Yancey’s message.

Outside the Provincial Hospital.

Myles Sullivan and Ivy Wilmar were there, along with Juan Wilmar and Jeff Quinlan, who had hurried over.

There was no need to mention Ivy Wilmar; Simon Cadwell had taken the person away right in front of her, leaving her without any face, trampling her and the Wilmar family’s dignity into pieces. She sat there, her face extremely sullen, looking terrible.

Myles Sullivan was outside taking a phone call and hadn’t come over yet.

Juan Wilmar, having just arrived and hearing from her about Jecksen being taken away, felt his heart pounding anxiously, his brows tightly furrowed, and tried to persuade her, saying, "We might have hit a snag this time."

"Maybe we should just let it go at this. If we continue to struggle, there’s no telling what it might escalate into. That Nathalie Quinlan has some mysterious background, very odd..."

"So Jecksen has to suffer having three ribs broken for nothing?" Ivy Wilmar could not accept his solution and retorted angrily.

Clenching her fists, she practically gnashed her teeth and said, "We still hold the disciplinary records against her and Freddy Cagwin. She managed to get Simon Cadwell to take away the person, but I don’t believe she wouldn’t come begging to me! Unless she doesn’t want to take the college entrance exam, we’ll see who can last longer!"

She was simply speaking out of anger at the moment.

In her heart, whether Nathalie Quinlan went to university or not was nowhere near as important as her pampered younger brother being locked up in the police station right now.

Right now, she wished she could tear into Nathalie Quinlan’s flesh and skin her alive to relieve even a fraction of her rage.

Ghania Quinlan came along with Jeff Quinlan too, unaware of what had happened. But seeing Ivy Wilmar so angry and mentioning Nathalie Quinlan’s name, she guessed most of it had something to do with the incident where Nathalie had hit someone.

She was already in a bad mood because of being embarrassed at the B-class gathering, but suddenly she felt much better. She stepped forward obediently to console Ivy Wilmar, "Aunt, please don’t be angry, what if it harms your health?"

After a pause, looking outside and holding onto Ivy Wilmar’s arm, she gently said, "Besides, Uncle is right there, surely this will be resolved."
