Chapter 530: What Does Nathalie Quinlan Mean, Intentionally Humiliating Her? _1

"..." Ghania Quinlan suddenly clutched her palm tightly, her heartbeat racing.

Some in Class B still hadn’t figured out what was going on and were speaking out of turn.

Especially Ghania’s lackey, Olivia Barness, who spoke the most energetically.

"What business is it of yours how many points Ghania scored? Even if you knew, you couldn’t score that high!"

Another one, close to Ghania, Sylvia Cadwell, slightly lifted her chin, showing a scornful smile as she disdainfully said, "You’re asking how many points Ghania scored, how about yourself? Did you pass 500?"

Ha!

Would you believe it if I told you Nathalie scored over 600!

Justin Wafford, upon hearing this, instead of getting angry, crossed his arms and looked at the crowd in front of him with a disdainful gaze, as if watching a bunch of clowns deluding themselves; he asked Wenny Taylor coldly, "Why aren’t you speaking? How many points did Ghania score that you shamelessly join these people in slandering your own classmate?"

His words struck a chord with everyone in Class A.

Class A was just as united. Wenny Taylor was usually introverted and didn’t talk much in class, but nobody had ever ostracized or targeted her.

She was always invited to every class event.

She even joined the meals Nathalie had treated them to before.

Yet, here she was, sitting with Ghania and badmouthing Nathalie behind her back. Such petty behavior was utterly disgusting to a group of seventeen-eighteen-year-old hot-blooded youths, who couldn’t stand people who acted one way in front of others and another way behind their backs.

Wenny Taylor could feel the contemptuous line of sight from her classmates. She felt like she had been pricked by a needle, her face paled, and she became increasingly restless.

But with things having escalated to this point, she was in too deep to back out, and had no choice but to grit her teeth and keep going.

Anyway, no matter how much Justin Wafford and the others talked it up, Nathalie not getting into Tsinghua University meant she didn’t get in!

With that thought, she steadied herself, grabbed the hem of her skirt under the table, pursed her lips, lifted her head, and with eyes filled with jealousy and dissatisfaction hidden behind thick-rimmed glasses, she provocatively asked Nathalie Quinlan, "Do you really want to know?"

"Hmm," Nathalie responded lazily, tilting her head back slightly. Her face was delicate and beautiful, but too casual; her air of defiance was overpowering and unlike the genteel impression Ghania gave off.

"I don’t really want to know."

This answer was completely unexpected.

Wenny Taylor had been holding her breath, ready to explode, but Nathalie’s response made her feel like she had thrown a punch into cotton, leaving her feeling lonely.

Luckily, in the next moment, the girl in front of her stuck her hands in her pockets, slightly lowered her head, her lashes drooping down as she looked at her again, and said offhandedly, "But seeing your reaction, I kind of want to know now."

Nathalie had already known that Ghania was participating in this Tsinghua Joint Entrance Exam, but she had never considered competing with her, much less fighting for a spot.

Since she wasn’t a rival, Nathalie couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to Ghania’s scores.

During the score check, she had only looked up her own score and hadn’t inquired about anyone else’s. However, seeing Wenny Taylor and the group from Class B gathered together discussing her, and Ghania putting on that attitude, aroused a bit of curiosity in Nathalie. She wanted to know just how many points Ghania had scored, and judging by their demeanor, she guessed Ghania had scored at least over 600.

"620?" Nathalie squinted casually, glancing over at the girl sitting in the center of the crowd, quite nonchalantly, with no particular emotion.

But Ghania felt as if she had been slapped in the face. She clutched her palm tightly, and her watery eyes suddenly collided with Nathalie’s, filled with anger and humiliation.
