Chapter 1853: Only One Candidate Every Three Years, Outsiders Have Entered Before

Nathalie Quinlan had just blocked James Lawrence, and when she thought about the text messages James had sent her before, she looked at Jaycent Kingsley, whose face showed genuine concern.

Nathalie was momentarily distracted, but it was only for a brief moment. After a moment, she restrained the faint light in her eyes, put her phone back, and answered vaguely, "I just suddenly want to go in, there’s no reason."

Such a center of power involving an entire continent surely wouldn’t allow outsiders to enter.

"Does it mean that people not from Inderia can’t enter?" Nathalie didn’t know this; it was the first time she had heard of it.

"That’s the principle." Jaycent didn’t want to disappoint her and thought for a moment: "But there are exceptions. I know of someone at the First Research Institute who is not Inderian. He was from the Illegal Zone and came to Inderia many years ago. Somehow, he participated in the examination, became the top scorer that year, and naturally entered the research institute... I remember it caused quite a stir back then. However, that person didn’t stay long and left the institute within a year."

Jaycent was recalling and speaking to her at the same time, apparently not remembering too clearly.

Jaycent’s relationship with Zevaney Kingsley was pretty average; if Nathalie weren’t interested in this, he likely wouldn’t reach out to Zevaney even once a year.

Nathalie shook her head, adjusted her duckbill cap, seemingly uninterested: "No need, I was just saying."

Jaycent was driving, glancing at her while doing so.

When he saw that the girl’s expression was indeed indifferent and she didn’t seem determined to know, he pursed his lips and told her: "It’s not impossible for you to get into the First Research Institute. Every three years, the three Great Families each have a recommendation spot, but the Kingsleys Family won’t work for sure.
