Chapter 1058: Five Big Men Squeezing onto One Sofa

Her first reaction was negative: "Dad, are you sure you’re not mistaken? How could Sun possibly show up? He’s always been mysterious and never makes public appearances. I could believe if you said Emma Gabehart and Diana, but Sun... I’ve never heard any rumors about that."

If word got out that Sun was at the Golden Pavilion, the hotel’s entrance would be trampled down. How could there have been no whisper of this before?

Charles Quarles’s voice was low and obviously he was not in a good mood, and he didn’t offer her much explanation as he said sternly: "I just got the message!"

"But..."

Evelyn Quarles was about to say something else but was abruptly interrupted by the forceful voice on the phone: "No more ’buts’. There are no ifs and buts. Hurry down and join me in room 3306 for a visit. Whether it’s Sun or not, we’ll see for ourselves!"

Evelyn Quarles lifted her head.

In the banquet hall, the piano solo had shifted to a soft violin piece, the strings quivering gently, every note gracefully stirring.

The dinner had just begun, and many from the IT industry had come.

She still had many people she had not had the chance to visit.

Evelyn Quarles bit her glistening red lips, her line of sight once more sweeping through the banquet hall, hoping to find the figure she had seen earlier.

She searched but saw no one.

Quietly, she withdrew her gaze.

She moved forward with long strides, walking out while speaking softly to the man on the phone: "Dad, where are you, I’ll come find you right away."

"In the hotel lobby."

She responded with a hum and left the lively banquet scene, turned a corner heading towards the elevator, and pressed the down button.

Inside suite 3306.

Nathalie Quinlan was unaware someone was coming to find her.

Upon returning to her room, she took off her Duckbill Cap and placed it on the tea table, then took a bottle of water from the fridge set to one side.

Her pale hand printed onto the glass bottle, about to twist off the cap.

Then her motion paused again, she glanced at the several people seated in a row on the living room sofa and said, "Who wants water?"

In the living room, aside from Alfred Garland and Sadam Vinson who had come, Wallace Radcliff and Mario Cagwin had also followed suit.

It appeared that they all had come from the Illegal Zone, except that Amadeus Yancey only took Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland with him to the banquet that evening.

Wallace Radcliff received a phone call from Sadam Vinson, put down what he was doing, and hurriedly came down with Mario Cagwin.

Now, there were five imposing figures sitting in the living room.

The suite at the Golden Pavilion Hotel couldn’t compare to a presidential suite in size, but the living room was not small either. On the L-shaped leather oversized sofa sat five big men, and it somehow seemed cramped.

A bit crowded.

And none of the five men were speaking.

Aside from Amadeus Yancey who still looked unperturbed, handling messages on his Phone, the other four seemed to be exchanging looks, unsure of how to break the somewhat awkward atmosphere in the room.

Nathalie Quinlan asked once, no one answered.

She lifted the water in her hand, a stretch of snow-white wrist exposed beneath the cuff of her hoodie, patiently asking again: "Are you all not thirsty? Are you sure no one wants water?"

If no one was thirsty, that was that.

She would just take her own bottle.

Wallace Radcliff and Mario Cagwin had rushed over after receiving the phone call, only to find Nathalie Quinlan indeed in the Illegal Zone and even staying in the same hotel.

Both were still trying to wrap their heads around it.

Their minds were befuddled.

How could they think of being thirsty and wanting water?

It was Alfred Garland who reacted quickly, standing up and darting over: "Ms. Quinlan, let me do it. You go and sit down; I’ll make tea for you. Do you have tea leaves here?"
