Chapter 703 I Can Cook, Take Care of Kids, and Warm the Bed

Ignatius Leclair took the two little ones for a nap, while Delphine was busy with matters regarding the film crew. She had applied for early graduation from school, but some materials needed her to return to Imperial City to prepare. She would go back in April and then take a trip to France, after which she could focus on filming in her home country.

Kyla Zamora had recently given her a lot of scripts, so Delphine sat in the rest area of the small villa’s garden with a stack of scripts, selecting the suitable ones.

The small villa’s garden had a strong sense of design, with a semi-open space made of glass and redwood. It allowed for growing flowers and trees, lush and verdant, with a continuous fountain flow, while also preventing the summer rains.

After coaxing the two little ones to sleep, the man came downstairs. When he found her in the small garden in the back, he saw her barefoot on the soft fabric sofa, holding a pillow, engrossed in flipping through the scripts, biting her lip thoughtfully as she read.

The once chin-length short and cute hair had grown down to her chest, lazily braided by her, making her features even more delicate and exquisite. Ignatius Leclair leaned silently against the wooden door rail, watching her. His eyes were deep; perhaps he was getting old, unable to appreciate those intensely beautiful things, preferring this kind of simple and unadorned beauty, feeling a sudden flutter in his heart.

The man thought of being over thirty, about five years older than Delphine. Fortunately, with the two little ones, if they waited a few more years to have children, they wouldn’t be able to manage a noisy group of little ones.

Ignatius Leclair turned back to the living room, arranged a fruit platter, brewed a pot of flower tea, and brought it to the small garden’s coffee table. Sitting beside Delphine, he said in a low, sexy voice, "I remember you don’t like tea?"

"Hmm." Delphine nodded, her gaze still on the script. She saw the man’s tall and slender figure sitting next to her and didn’t dare to look up, quietly moving back a little.

Ignatius Leclair was very tall, standing at 185 cm, looking slender, but only when the clothes came off would one know he had a six-pack and excellent chest muscles. Thinking of last night’s chaotic battle, Delphine’s face felt like it was on fire, and she moved back even more.

As she moved back, the man moved forward.

"If you move again, you’ll fall off," Ignatius Leclair said with a smile on his lips as he reached out to embrace her. "You look at the script, I won’t disturb you."

"Then sit across from me," Delphine quickly said.

The man stood up and really walked to the opposite side, leisurely pouring her a cup of flower tea, saying, "Be good, drink some tea from now on, start with flower tea."

That tone was like coaxing the five-year-old Benjamin, and Delphine inexplicably felt her face stiffen a little.

Ten minutes later, looking at the densely packed words in the script, Delphine couldn’t read any further. The man indeed didn’t disturb her, just stared at her without blinking, making her feel as if he was about to bore a hole through her.

Delphine helplessly put down the script in her hand, looked up at the handsome man, and said, "Mr. Leclair, you can go check on Benjamin and the other one upstairs or deal with company matters. There’s no need to stare at me all the time."

The elegant and noble man saw that she finally looked directly at him, his phoenix eyes deep and thin lips curling into a smile. He said faintly, "You’re nicer to look at."

This was undoubtedly Magnus, and Delphine sighed, tapping her forehead with the script, saying, "I think we should have a good talk."

Ignatius Leclair nodded in agreement.

"Last night was an accident," Delphine tried to speak clearly and gently, "I hope we can return to the previous way of interacting."

Ignatius Leclair’s smile deepened as he said in a low voice, "That was the way you interacted with him, not me. From now on, I’ll stay here. I can cook for you, take care of the kids, and warm the bed. You provide for us, how about that?"
