Chapter 701 Daddy, Write a Self-Criticism
Chapter 701 Daddy, Write a Self-Criticism
Delphine was woken up early the next day, entirely drained of energy, held tightly in the man’s arms. She couldn’t even muster the strength to push him away, her toes curling from the panic.
"Daddy, Mommy, overslept, write a self-reflection!" The soft voice of the little girl sounded outside the door as she knocked early in the morning, calling in her sugary tone.
Benjamin, who had been pulled out of bed by Nicholas Carter earlier, remembered that Daddy was at home and didn’t dare to stay in bed at all. He obediently got up.
When Benjamin realized she was already up but Daddy and Mommy still hadn’t gotten up, she thought about the self-reflection she’d been forced to write before. Seized with a sense of excited justice, she dashed over to knock on their door early in the morning.
Time to get up and write a self-reflection! She had finally caught her Daddy red-handed!
Ignatius Leclair held his wife, warm and soft, in his arms. He felt like these past several years hadn’t been a life worth living. Interrupted by Benjamin, his handsome face darkened. This little rascal still holds grudges? He’d confiscate all her lollipops, until they were completely gone. Ha.
Feeling the slender body in his arms tense up, his phoenix eyes deepened. He flipped her beneath him and said in a low voice, "Benjamin is knocking at the door."
"G-get up, Benjamin’s, uh, here," Delphine stammered softly, her doe-like eyes downcast, too shy to look at him.
Ignatius lowered his face, his voice deep and enticing. "Make it up to me tonight, hmm?"
Delphine quickly nodded, her cheeks flaming, only desperate to get up as quickly as possible.
"Daddy, Mommy, no staying in bed!" Benjamin had already run to her room and returned with a notebook and pen. She shouted cleverly, "Benjamin will oversleep next time too!"
Upon hearing this, Delphine pushed at the man hard, but Ignatius chuckled lowly, his face lowering as he kissed her deeply to claim a bit of interest upfront. The kiss left both of them breathless before he let go of her, dressed in his loungewear, and opened the door to find his little rascal staring up at him with bright, round eyes.
"Self-reflection!" Benjamin’s black, grape-like eyes nearly curled into crescents as she held up her notebook and said sweetly, "Daddy, hurry and write it!"
With a blank expression, Ignatius picked her up and carried her downstairs, his eyes narrowing dangerously as he said, "Benjamin, tomorrow I’m sending you to live with Great-Grandpa."
Benjamin froze, then clutched her little notebook tightly and shook her head like a spinning top, pleading with wide eyes, "Benjamin doesn’t want to live with Great-Grandpa."
"Then you’ll behave, hmm?" Ignatius patted the little girl’s head, laying down three rules. "For example, when Daddy and Mommy are sleeping, you absolutely cannot disturb us. Understand?"
Benjamin shook her head, not understanding.
"Do you want a baby brother?" Ignatius picked her up, lowering his voice as he said, "Once you have a baby brother, Benjamin can be a big sister."
Benjamin’s eyes lit up. Could she bully her baby brother?
The little girl nodded enthusiastically and leaned into Ignatius’s ear, whispering sneakily, "So when can I have a baby brother?"
"Soon," the man’s gaze was profoundly deep as he answered. Right now, his position was somewhat precarious. If there were another child, things would be different.
"And lollipops!" Benjamin held up her notebook again, speaking sweetly.
"I’ll build you a candy house then, as long as you’re not afraid of all your teeth falling out." Ignatius pinched the little girl’s pink cheeks and snorted coldly.
