Chapter 693: I’m Jealous of Everything That Happened Between You and Him
Ignatius Leclair had been in a coma for two days. On the third day, he finally woke up. The man opened his heavy eyelids, his deep phoenix eyes quietly observing everything in front of him, a trace of enigmatic light flashing across them.
Arthur White was the first to notice that the man was awake. He immediately exclaimed in excitement, "Mr. Leclair!"
Ignatius glanced at Arthur, nodded coldly, and asked in a low voice, "Where is Delphine?"
"Miss Delphine is in the resting room next door dealing with work matters." Arthur finished speaking, sensing that Mr. Leclair’s reaction seemed somewhat odd. However, he didn’t have time to dwell on it and quickly rushed to summon the doctor.
After conducting an examination, the doctor breathed a sigh of relief and announced that Ignatius was out of danger, with no immediate signs of sequelae or complications. The past two days had shrouded the entire hospital in anxiety, fearing that something might go wrong, which could lead to the Leclair Family blaming the hospital.
After Ignatius regained consciousness, the Leclair Family members poured into the ward. By the time Delphine and the others arrived, it was already late.
The man was half-leaning on the bed, his features exceptionally handsome but tinged with pallor. His phoenix eyes, a deep and impenetrable hue of ink, exuded elegance and aristocracy despite the severity of his injuries.
Ignatius was sitting upright on the bed, catching up on the events that had transpired over the past few days. The Cloud Family had already declared bankruptcy, and Melody Cloud was detained for the crime of deliberately injuring someone by ramming them with a car, waiting for his decision to file charges. When she entered, Ignatius set aside the documents he was holding, looked at her, and reached out his hand with gentle intent, saying, "Delphine, come here."
Delphine walked over, and the man extended his long, jade-like fingers, distinct and refined, to hold her small hand. In a hoarse voice, he said, "I’m sorry."
She lowered her gaze and shook her head lightly. The man continued in his rasped voice, "I shouldn’t have left you alone."
Delphine’s body trembled inexplicably. She raised her eyes to look at Ignatius, his phoenix eyes now holding flecks of emerald amidst the ink-like depths. Gone was his usual sternness and shadowed demeanor; his face remained handsome yet seemed stripped of its cold edge, revealing vulnerability and gentleness.
Delphine reached out, wanting to touch his nose bridge. In her younger years, she had loved his sharp nose and thin lips the most. During kisses, she would often bump into his nose, and he would always demand additional kisses as compensation, claiming those were "damage fees for his nose."
Her hand froze mid-air, staring at the man before her, whose familiarity was now tinged with strangeness. Her body trembled again as she felt a faint madness creeping in. How could she think that Magnus was back? No matter how badly Ignatius’s brain had been damaged in the car accident, it didn’t mean that Magnus would return.
Hesitantly and filled with uncertainty, she called out, "Magnus?"
The man reached out to hold her hand, which was suspended in the air. His gaze held a trace of amusement as he rasped, "Wrong. From now on, always call me Ignatius."
He guided her delicate hand to touch his prominent nose bridge, his thin lips gently kissing her slender, soft fingers.
Delphine abruptly withdrew her hand, her body trembling slightly. Her jet-black eyes scanned Ignatius up and down, trying to discern if the person before her was his dominant personality or his second personality.
"I remember everything from these past years." Magnus’s voice shifted, low and dangerous, as he spoke deliberately, "Delphine, you had two children with him."
Delphine suddenly took a step back, her face slightly pale, looking at the man before her, whose handsomeness remained but whose cold demeanor had vanished. She clenched her fingertips tightly and replied coolly, "Ignatius, that joke isn’t funny at all."
Magnus narrowed his phoenix eyes, curling his lips into a teasing smile, "Delphine, I’m not joking. I’m jealous of everything you’ve shared with him. But I’m back now, and from now on, Ignatius will be the second personality."
